We saw Killer Prom and it was absolutely hilarious. There were four actors (who cracked themselves up sometimes) and audience members were asked to participate. They did an amazing job entertaining their audience. The food was good and the service was excellent. read more

A fantastic, hilarious, bargain family friendly show! Jamie Goldman is the actor, director and writer - go see him now before he's performing on Second City in Chicago or SNL in New York in a couple of years. Tremendously talented young man. We went to the 1980s killer prom show and it was hilarious, entertaining, and a lot of fun! The audience participation was a bright spot, the cast was super into it and fully committed, and it was overall a great time. Note the food is just OK, the fried chicken dinner was fine but nothing spectacular. (You're not going for the food, you're going for the show!) Prom Night 1985 was advertised with sexual innuendos. This is a very light way to describe what is a night filled with acting reliant on descriptions of gratuitous sexual acts. The food was good considering it's a show. The show was amazing. Loved the Moonshine murder. As a child of the 70-80's the play on Dukes of Hazard was awesome It's more improv than scripted. But that's good. Sometimes the audience is involved, but that's great too. Especially when the improv actors play into it. read more

I had never been to a murder mystery dinner. Was not expecting this! It was hilarious!! Food was pretty good, too! Definitely doing this when we come back next year. We did 80's Killer Prom. Casual dress, no one was dressy. They also had beer and some wine coolers you could purchase as you were going in. read more

What a great experience with tons of laughs. Not at all what we expected, but better than one of the boring shows that you just sit and watch. Laughed the whole time and was definitely surprise. Must try when you are in the area. We ate and the food was delicious. read more

First 2 acts were good, but didn't really follow the back story. Food was ok but didn't even give us a butter knife to cut the chicken or butter the bread. The last act was total let down. It was like oh we have your reviews now we are done. 20 seconds of a female Elvis? A table of 8 people and none of us could remember the names of the actors or guess the murderer as a result of the same people playing multiple roles. We have came to this venue a couple of times. The experience is worth it. The shows are funny. The food is ok not like stampede or Hatfield and McCoys but just ok. This last time we went the food was better than the first time so I will give them credit for that. read more

The food reminded me of a hungry man frozen dinner. You get some breaded chicken that was warmed up in a microwave, canned soup, canned green beans, soggy shredded pork and potatoes that taste like you just add water. Not a single fresh food item was served!!! Disappointing for the price!!! The dessert was Sara Lee cheesecake and was sadly the best part of the meal. The actors put on a good show, they engaged the audience and kept everyone laughing. So that part was pretty cool. They are the only reason I'm giving this place 3 stars because the food was definitely a 1 star. read more

I respect this place a lot. $50 a person and they present you with mediocre food and a doctor's office style waiting room to eat in. The servers are all very attentive and kind, ours was very good at her job. The actors all put on a great show, it's raunchy but children often do not even hear the jokes. I respect the actors' dedication and how much they enjoy doing this, people expect award-winning acting for some reason. I can only imagine how much they make after 2 shows a night. This is one of the best money grabs in the area. Much respect. The food was miserable and cheap. I walked in and instantly started laughing. So the honest to God only reason I didn't give this a 5 is the chicken I got at dinner was absolutely salty...I didn't eat it. & due to needing help they didn't have the bar open. The show itself was GREAT. So much fun & they were funny We went to Moonshine Murder... I would suggest to go & check it out one night. The other food was good. The loaded potato soup was delicious & my dinner Plate was good except the chicken...dessert was tasty. We had a great time. This experience was way over-priced. The acting was horrible. They couldn't keep themselves from laughing the entire show. The audience participation was the only part that was funny. The show was actually short and only 4 actors for the sheriff play we saw. The food was bland and seemed like it was a TV dinner style presentation. The worst part: this show is NOT family friendly. Don't bring children. The sexual references and undertones were throughout the show. I was so embarrassed when my 9-year-old granddaughter started talking about "Boobie traps," as it was mentioned in the show. My niece was incredibly embarrassed by the content. read more

I've always wanted to do a Murder mystery. I'm so glad I did because it kept even the tiniest fans entertained. However, here's my reason for 3 stars. The food!! The food is microwave, TV dinners. This was our first time at a Murder Mystery show and I had no idea what to expect. We laughed so much the entire night. The cast was amazing and in character from the time we walked in the door. The crowd interaction was awesome. The food is pretty standard fried chicken, potatoes, green beans, corn, and a roll. Potato soup as a starter and cheesecake as dessert. The service was phenomenal. We were in Pigeon Forge for the 4th of July weekend and decided to book a dinner show. We arrived about 5:30 for the 6:30 show, were greeted at the door and asked to wait in the lobby or outside on the back porch. They have a bar that served wine and beer and the prices were more reasonable then I expected. We then were paired up with 2 other couples and led to our table. Our server was right there, told us about the whole program, how the night would go and got straight to our drinks. Soup was served first, it was OK, could have been a bit hotter but not bad. When dinner was served it was just as shown in the pictures. The chicken was good, I didn't expect a $50.00 chicken dinner, I think realistic expectations are needed here. I am not a pork person so I can't comment on it. The desert was cheese cake with your choice of a topping, again, pretty good. The show was fun, entertaining, and did keep you laughing. That is what they promise and they delivered it. The room is small and you are right in the middle of the show, some people become a part of it. Our table was the table of strange children (see the show, you will understand). All in all we had a good time, and if your free, want to spend a couple of hours laughing, it's a good place to do it. read more

This was the worst acting, horrible speakers. If you sat by the curtain you couldn't hear a thing because the servers were really noisy. The acting was so bad I've seen better plays by high school students. It was so disheveled in every area. The acting was as horrid. It is NOT a who done it it was like get out fast before you got food poisoning from the uneditable cheeses cake. Muffled sound equipment. Save your money! Some folks walked out. I've been to this theatre many times before, however I hadn't been in well over a decade. So when my wife and I came down, it was at the top of my list of things to do. In coming to this, please know that you aren't coming for the food. That's not to say that it was bad, as the soup and cheese cake are amazing, and the main course is good, but nothing to rave about. No, the reason to come to the Murder Mystery dinner show is for the solid 2 hours of laughing that you're going to be doing. We went to the "Marriage is Murder" show, and it was an amazing evening. From the audience participation, which included my brother to hilarious ends, to the amazing cast, I can't recommend this place enough. This show was entertaining and funny. Lots of audience participation and everyone at our show got into it. The actors wore masks throughout the show. Waitstaff also masked and patrons were respectful of wearing masks as well. Food was cafeteria quality and average. They really skimp on the vegetables for some reason. Still, it was adequate and filling. Although they sell souvenir wine glasses and moonshine glasses, they don't act sell either with dinner. Only wine coolers and basic beers. Very Southern to just have wine coolers as only alternative to beer if you want alcohol lol. Service was good. Pay $10 for souvenir 4 x 6 photo they print out for you during intermission. Worst food ever!!!! Actually inedible do not recommend at all. Who shot the sheriff more like who shot the chef!!!! The service was good but the food was so bad that it didn't even count. The actors were pretty okay but the script was terrible. There was definitely more than one winner but they only announced one. The place smelt like chuckie cheese and was not aesthetically pleasing at all. Would not recommend to anyone!!! My family and I booked this show well in advance of our visit. We accidentally booked the wrong date and missed our actual reservation, however when we contacted the theater they worked with us and go us into the show the next day. ( contributes to receiving more than 1 )Our server was Tonya and despite being severely short staffed, 2 servers for the entire crowd, Tonya was fantastic. (The other reason for more than 1 ) Then things go down hill. The food looked very good but it lacked something that Southern cuisine is known for...SEASONING. It was all bland and the chicken was like a second biscuit, in fact the biscuit was more moist. The star was the cheesecake which was good, but nothing to really rave about. The performance was amateurish, which I should have expected walking in. The train wreck really started with the Roscette character not knowing her lines, and leaning on the excuse of it was her first night, which she delivered like a line. She carried a clip board and read from it for the remainder of the performance, it is called rehearsal, and clearly was a foreign concept. The interaction with the audience was alright, I feel like the Hooter character played by an audience member received more laughs than three of the four performers. Been coming to the Smokey's for years and decided to finally give this a try. I consider it the Earthquake:The Ride of dinner theatre. It's hokie and doesn't really make all that much sense. Unlike a lot of reviews, I did not find the food to be all that bad. Very similar to what you would find at the Dixie Stampede. My two big problems were the length of the show (over two hours with two lengthy breaks during the show) and the price. For the quality of the show I would think it falls more in the $35-$39 range...not $53 per person. They do try hard and the actors have a lot of heart...I will give them that! read more
