It's such a mood - the calming area is so moody and mellow. It was $130 and it was absolutely worth it. I would recommend Heather - she is so fun and personable. We had so much in common that I was having a bit of a laugh even a few minutes into the massage. I am a light to medium pressure girly and she was super responsive and listened (winning). It definitely calmed me down a bit after a stressful week. Also, I need scalp massages added to all of my massages because what have I been missing out on!? Parking took me a second just because the small lot behind the salon was full, but it was also midday on a Saturday. I was able to get a street parking spot a few down from the door and it's 2-hr parking so that was perfect. I would say to make sure you have cash for gratuity as well as you can't add it to your card. I was told some people there do accept Venmo as well, but cash is your best bet. I will definitely book again because the entire rest of the day, I was relaxed. I also love this location because then I don't have to drive into the city at all on busy days!

Prior to becoming her repeat client, I was paying competitive prices for highlights and I was always stuck in the yellow stage. I don't know how Nikki does it, but she has brought me to a pale blonde, not yellowish, that I was always looking for. Nikki is an expert in fantasy color, but she's exceeded my expectation in my blonde color. I haven't written a review in a while, but I had to write after our appointment last week. Not only did Nikki knock it out of the park once again with the color, but she also cut my hair. She did as I asked and gave me long layers. I'm very pleased with her work and would recommend anyone to see her.. You'll love her as much as I do.

Michael did my highlights, an overlay, and a haircut a few months ago. The salon definitely has that neighborhood feel. During my time there, a few locals and Michael's friends stopped by to chat. He seemed to know everyone from little 6 year-old kids getting their haircuts to the mailman! Michael was a hoot, telling me stories about his family and Stoneham, and even though I was not yet a regular, I felt right at home. One of his daughters even stopped by to help him out and he introduced me to her. Amy, who everybody speaks so highly of, seemed to know her stuff too and was friendly even though she was not handling my hair. When I first arrived, I also asked Michael if he thought I could park on the street and he told me I should move my car into the lot in front. The lot is small, but it was nice that Michael didn't want to get my car towed! The salon is no-frills in appearance, but Michael did wonders for my hair. The cut was just as I had asked and the color was an improvement over the job that the last two stylists at other salons had done. I was a little worried that I would have to pay an arm and a leg for his magic, but when he rang me up, it was significantly less than other salons have charged me for the same services. As I was leaving the salon, an older woman was coming in for her appointment. She complimented me on my color and told me I looked great. Since then, complete strangers and colleagues have told me how wonderful my hair looks as well, so I guess that means I will now become a regular here! Michael told me he has been in business for a long time in Stoneham and I can see why. Ironically, there is a barber right next door, but the customers seemed to be filling into Michael's for the friendly and efficient service instead!
