Super cute coffee shop just a ways down from the main drag in Solvang. But a most welcome relief from the tourist traps. My oat latte was nice and creamy. There is also a small selection of pastries and salads. Lovely indoor seating, and there's a great outdoor courtyard with other local businesses to peruse at your leisure. The rooted vine tasting room is around the corner, and I'm sorry I only discovered it on the day I have to drive home. But go forth, wander and report back. read more

Came here on a Sunday afternoon and it was not too busy. However, there was only one employee taking orders and making the orders. I was with a small group and every time the girl took an order she would go make the drink and then come back and take another order. This ended up taking quiet some time as more people started to show. The coffee was ok, a bit watered down. They had some pastries available which was nice. Stopped there on our last morning in Solvang and it didn't disappoint. Not a lot of choices in terms of pastries but the coffee was good. This is a spot located in the plaza with the Little Mermaid Fountain. The plaza had a lot of empty storefronts and is at the edge of the main tourists streets. It's a smallish shop with not a lot of seating, but it offers different comfortable options at some tables and cushioned seating around a coffee table. Local vendor crafts were on display for sale and an area stored communal games to play. Customer service was terrific from a very friendly, pleasant, & helpful lady. We ordered an Iced Chai Latte (spiced vs vanilla), a Cold Brew, & a Lemonade. We actually wanted their "Lemonade of the Month" which was strawberry, but she apologized that they didn't have anymore strawberry and offered other alternatives. It took a little while to get our drinks prepared, but she acknowledged the wait & assured us they would be out soon. She brought our drinks out to where we were seated. While she was diligent with cleaning areas after customers left, other areas around the windows, strings of lights, & plants were dusty with spiderwebs. The ambiance is bright and open with plenty of seating for solo sippers, groups, and there's even accommodations for families. They have a fun corner for the kiddos and a jar of dog treats for the fur babies. The staff? Super friendly, patient, and genuinely helpful each time I visited (three times to be exact). You can tell they care about their community with one area of the shop offering fliers and pamphlets featuring city events and activities along with business cards. Drink wise The cold brew wasn't quite there for me--lacking that bold and smooth edge I look for. It had more of a 12-hour brew flavor consistency. The hot latte (with oat milk) was lovely: creamy, smooth, and just the right consistency. The lavender honey latte (with oat milk) was the star. It was lavender-forward (in the best way) with honey softening the edges. The espresso was subtle but present, rounding it out perfectly. This place has heart, good drinks, and great people. My wife & I stopped by a few days ago while in the area & re-visit is in order next time we're in the area! My wife got a lavender latte along with the biscuit & gravy while I got the Mexi-mocha & a ham/cheddar quiche. The coffee is damn good! I, literally, had a hard time putting down my mocha. I was in NEED of a coffee just how I like. This place satisfied my craving for an iced honey lavender latte. Service could've been better though from the gal taking our order - not the friendliest. They offer a large variety of flavors like your classics, hazelnut and vanilla, but also rose, toasted marshmallow, amaretto, creme brulee, to name a few. We got 2 scones: mocha espresso chocolate chip and I forget what mine was, but both were tasty. Get them warmed up :) The shop had plenty of seating indoors but they also have outdoor seating on the side and you're in the shade! The artwork is unique and definitely catches your eye. I fell in love with this place. It's a very big space and dog friendly. They gave us a treat for our doggie. There are boardgames, couches, art work up, it's so cute. Very milky/bland white chocolate mocha. Terrible customer service by whoever was your barista at 10:00am 12/7/24. She gave the customer in front of me the bathroom key but once I ordered and asked for it, she told me customers can't use the restroom there and that I needed to go find a porta potty in the public parking lots. I said "oh, the woman in front of me used your bathroom with the key you gave her" and she just repeated herself. When I asked for 2 straws for my 2 drinks she told me "it has a sip lid". Should not have had to beg her to hand me the straws that she had in her jar behind the counter, but she finally slid the jar over when I wouldn't leave the pick up counter. Disappointing experience for $14 coffees. And no, you can't pay then use the bathroom like a normal coffee shop business. read more

I'm such a fun of Chomp and had been wanting to try their coffee shop for sooo long. Finally made that happen today! The space is great with lots of room to sit down and enjoy a beverage, as well as get some work done. They have a pretty extensive menu with tons of milk options. The staff helping us was really friendly and got our drinks out quickly. My only recommendation would be to put more ice in the cold drinks. Ours melted pretty quick and I love my cold coffee drinks to stay cold. Their matcha is soooo delicious. My husband really enjoyed their latte. I will definitely be back! read more

After getting some baked goods nearby, we needed some coffee to go with our breakfast goodies. After passing by the day before, we came to The Coffee House. It's a cute little coffee house with plenty of tables inside and outside to enjoy your coffee or work, as we saw people on their laptops. The coffee menu is not extensive, but they do have most of the common items. They have baked items as well. I just got a large coffee. The barista asks if you want cream and sugar, which she puts in the cup before filling the cup from the carafe. I like dark/bold coffees, but they didn't offer a choice and I felt the coffee was a little mild for my liking. It is very quiet and have people coming in and out but still quiet calm space. Staff is super friendly and can tell many locals come around here which was nice to see. They also have a space for kids to play a little to give parents a minute to sip their coffee comfortably. Didn't try their pastries but did get a ham white cheddar quiche which was really good! They have board games as well and an area where they have flyers of any upcoming events or things you can do around the area. I had heard of Chomp Burger, but when I noticed they now had a new-ish coffee house pop up in downtown Solvang, I knew I had to check it out! In between seeing patients for my full-time job, I had a little downtime and needed a little caffeine pick-me-up and bite for breakfast. Upon walking in, Alaina welcomed me in with a smile and offered to answer any questions. She went over the pastries available and also mentioned their off-menu sausage, cheese and egg frittatas, of which I obliged. I was boggled and indecisive given all of their delicious latte creations. I ended up going with the Amaretto Cinnamon (Iced) Latte which was the perfect addition to my morning. Alaina was worried that she may have put a pump too many of flavoring and it being too sweet. She offered to remake it! We came to an agreement that another shot of espresso would lower the sweetness level and it ended up perfect! I loved great customer service. The inside of the coffee house is perfect for anyone looking to get work done on their laptop (free wifi available). For mothers with children they have a separate play activity area too. The decor is welcoming, fun and kitschy (as expected for Solvang). I will be sure to return next time I'm in town. P/S: They're on Axxess Card. read more

We stopped in Solvang on our way south on our road trip and were excited to get a little coffee to perk up for the rest of the drive. We ordered an oat milk vanilla latte (hot). Service was good and we got the drink quickly. Problem was, though, the latte was pretty much undrinkable. It tasted like a glass of warm oat milk. There was not the faintest taste of coffee or vanilla. We had lots of good lattes from different coffee shops throughout the weekend, so we were extra disappointed in this coffee. $6.50 down the drain - don't recommend. read more

We love this Coffee Shop and love supporting women owned businesses. Amber the owner, head baker and barista who you'll find there M-F does an incredible job of building community and creating the kind of coffee shop that people dream about. Especially as a local and a regular she greets you by name, and more importantly remembers your dogs name and provides a little treat. She's also a super quick barista and knocks out quality drinks very fast. The ambiance is warm and comfortable. Her gluten free baked goods are extra appreciated as there aren't too many GF options in town. As an early riser I also appreciate the shop opening at 6am during the week. We are moving out of the area after 4 years here and will definitely miss this part of our morning routine. Highly recommend this coffee shop! read more
