I went to The Coffee Corner on a Friday afternoon when I was at a shop nearby and felt the need for a pick-me-up. I didn't expect much, as I went in only because I saw the sign from the parking lot. I walked in and it was neat and cute, with a large area that was tastefully decorated, with fall touches. I found it to be comfortable, and it would be a nice place to read or study. I was impressed by the prices, as I feel like buying a coffee these days turns into a $6-7 investment for a medium drink. Here, there were lots of options for $4-5. They had regular coffee and cold brew ,and additionally a menu of specialty drinks. I wanted something more interesting, but I don't care for very sweet drinks. The woman working the counter was friendly, talked about the levels of sweetness and offered to bring it down to half or a third of the sweetness. With that in mind, I was able to enjoy an iced coconut lavender latte. I would probably have asked for it to be even a bit less sweet, but otherwise the flavor was delicious. Unexpectedly, I found flakes of coconut in my drink which was a nice touch. They also had some cute items for sale, such as iced coffee cups and thermoses. I didn't buy any, but I was tempted. I rarely ever get out to Santee, but if I am ever shopping in the area, I will absolutely stop by The Coffee Corner for a drink! read more

This was a popular place for local Santee-ans. The staff was friendly; the croissant sandwich was nothing out of the ordinary, and the coffee was nondescript. Our group agreed that this spot would not make our cravings list; however, if you are in the area it is a good alternative to a chain. This is a typical coffee shop in a town center. There are some tables outside and inside you have few more seating areas. I like the setup inside because it is very conducive to grab your coffee, sit, and read a book or do your work. It is Monday 12noon and not too crowded. I've been avoiding writing a review about this because I am a very loyal customer for ONE drink I like but every single time I come here I feel the same negative, rude energy with little to no greeting or smile ever. They also don't call your drink out when it is ready so they could see you sitting there waiting for a while and just not say a word to you (it's a very small space). This place is so cute. It has plenty of indoor and outdoor seating as well as a couch loft. They have drink and food options including sweet or savory Waffles. I tried both seasonal coffees. They were not super sweet which I appreciated but I wish the coffee and seasonal flavoring had been stronger because it was a little too milky. read more

I like small honest businesses. I believe that it adds to the small town feel that santee has. I've had an opportunity to thoroughly try this shop before I made my decision to post this review. A couple things I don't like is taking advantage of the consumer, Costco muffins at $6 per re wrapped and Costco croissants which are already an insult to croissants is an absurdity. The service is descent, a 6.75 out of 10 but the sugar saturated lattes and stale repackaged store bought beans is a no for me. A latte consists of actual coffee and espresso not sugary syrups to conceal the flavor or weak store bought coffee. If you're going to charge the consumer then give them quality, give a latte and make it the best, use a local baker and organic meats. Give the very best and take pride in what you sell. read more

Tried this place on a lark, very good. I just wish they were open on Sundays. We tried the Corner Joy, and the Milky way. Both were very tasty. I do with the corner joy had a little more amaretto flavor but it was still good. The Milky way was almost like biting into a liquid Milky way, you could taste every aspect of it. The gooey Carmel to the chewy nouget. Def will be back to try other drinks in the future. read more

They made a decision to only take online orders. They don't pick up their phone to call in advance. I would typically go there twice a week. I guess I'll go somewhere else I have tried to call over 5 times in the last 2 week with no answer. Have nothing but good experiences with staff in the past but. I don't need training how to order something online. I'm not sure if you need training on how to pick up the phone or have staff available to do it. again it feels like a policy has change. Best mom & pop coffee shop in East County HANDS DOWN. The best quality and service. I am obsessed with their coconut lavender lattes... I could drink it every day and if I had to pick something for the last thing I drank on earth.... This latte would 10000% be in the running. Both this location and their smaller store front / drive thru location off Mast have almost identical menus and the same great service. I wish they both opened earlier for us early morning workers but it's amazing every time I get to go. I lt's pricey but I would much rather spend my money here than Starbucks... Usually I go here and get an açaí bowl with peanut butter, but today I wanted to add in a blueberry scone. Service is always nice. I ate my açaí bowl, headed home and about two hours later I decided I wanted the scone, and when I opened it, there were multiple pieces of mold. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt, it's the morning after Christmas and they out source for these I believe. I haven't been here in a while, but my order was just as good as ever! I ordered a blended Tuxedo for the first time like 5 or 6 years ago. And every time I've been there since, I've ordered the exact same thing. Usually I'm adventurous and like trying new things when I go places, but the Tuxedo is just SO GOOD, so there's no reason to change my order. I've tried so hard over the past couple of years to like this shop, but it is average at best. Their latte flavors are unchanging and their syrups are generic syrups from a bottle. Why should a customer pay six dollars for a latte using syrup they could make it home? I go to new coffee shops for new and unique lattes, not a latte with Torani syrup. The staff here are very nice and the atmosphere is very comforting. I am not too much a fun of the lattes. The lattes there have a coconut after taste. I'm not sure if it's the oatmilk I ordered with it or if it is the coffee grounds they use. I asked my mom if she thought the same and my husband and both agreed. I have gone back 2 more times and those times as well had a coconut taste. If I loved coconut it wouldn't be a problem but when you're expecting a coffee taste and not a big coconut fan it isn't the best. read more

They have a solid menu and everything tastes good, plus their prices are pretty reasonable for an independent coffee place.
