The coffee was delicious. I love their ice! They are small chewable ice which I love. The service was quick and the staff were friendly! My husband and I came in on a Sunday afternoon and there was a line. No worries. Two groups ordered before us, while we were ordering the woman taking our order saw the lady behind us who she knew. While we were paying and still standing at the register, she spoke over us and took the order of the woman and didn't charge her. While us and the two groups before us got our order, the woman with the special treatment got her drink. The kicker, her and I got the same thing. I've been at this location before, zero issues. I went there yesterday and if they said anything to me, I didn't hear them. I stood at the register while the 4-5 workers were going about their work. I could see from the screens that the drive thru also wasn't busy. When someone finally came over to help me, it seemed like a huge inconvenience to them that I was even in there. I ordered a regular iced soy latte. It was awful and I'm pretty sure it was not soy milk bc it tasted like 2%, but I'm not super lactose intolerant, I needed caffeine and it was around $6 for a small so I just drank it. Also, bc the staff didn't seem pleasant I didn't want to deal with them. Maybe it was an off day for all of them yesterday afternoon but I was not a fan. Also, they apparently forgot a girl's drink who was ahead of me and "waiting for awhile", which I didn't even see her order so it must have been way before I got there. Wow, considering I worked at coffee bean for 2 years in college this place has definitely lost its spark. What happened to the variety of teas? You used to be able to make any tea into a latte and now they have one or two flavors, and they just don't taste like it used to. This location forces you to use the drive thru because they don't have enough staff- how is that even possible when so many people need jobs these days? I recently relocated here to Surprise, Arizona from Missouri, via California! I loved my local Coffee Bean & Tealeaf and I was very excited that there is one here in Peoria! It's a drive from Surprise, but well worth it! I ordered my old time favorite, an ice blended with no sugar added powder and always "extra thick" and it didn't disappoint! Very yummy! I also had an almond croissant and ate it before I realized that I didn't take a photo! Oh well, there's always next time! My rating is strictly for the lack of customer service I experienced. I literally stood at the cashier to order for 5 minutes. The girls were all gossiping and planning what they were doing after work. The drive thru was ten cars deep so I chose to go inside. There were at least 5 people working and each one made eye contact with me and went the other way. I'm all for having a good time with tour coworkers but when you have a customer, please put your conversations on hold to help the person. Then go about your chat. Why did I stick around? I was determined to try the new ube matcha latte. When a guy finally came around to take my order he was nice. But didn't acknowledge the long wait. Then I went to wait for my drink on the other side where I saw 4 more employees literally just leaning on the counter and chatting it up even more. I was the only person that was there from when I got in and got out 15 mins later. Maybe I'll just order online next time because the drink was so damn good. lol. read more

Maybe this is my fault for trying something new but put in a delivery order for a 32 oz chai tea with boba When I say horrible I mean I couldn't even force myself to finish this drink. Chai had no flavor which mean it had to be made wrong boba was RAW & CRUNCHY. I hadn't been to this place in years. I had time to burn before an appointment so I stopped in. The staff was pleasant but obviously busy even though there was no line inside. I made the mistake of reading some reviews while I waited, and after I ordered the chai tea. Let's just say the previous reviews didn't lie. It was spacious and quiet so I imagine it is a nice place to study or catch up with friends. It's not what it used to be and I doubt that will change. read more

Gone in minutes, then swung through McDonald's n got half/half tea large 32oz for $1.42 . I definitely know Circle K or Quick Trip have mango tea for less than $6 and for 32oz or larger. I asked her for a drink carrier as soon as she handed me my drinks and she ignored me and started talking to another employee I asked her again and she was bothered and tells me to hang on a min. Placed a Too Good To Go order here, I love that they participate in that! Came here during my given time slot to pick up my surprise bag. Showed an employee my confirmation on the app and he asked me name so I gave it. He said "we don't have that order". Then went on to other tasks. So I said "what? I already paid for it though, I have a confirmation number". And he said "well we don't have it". Didn't stop to help me figure out if I was at the wrong location or ask to look at the app to figure out what I had ordered to help get it to me. Finally I asked a third time and named the app and he was able to figure it out and get me my order. So service was not excellent, but we figured it out so not a huge deal. By far my favorite place! It's so comforting and delicious! Try their matcha, it's unlike any other matcha you've ever tried!

I've been coming here for awhile and I am disappointed more times than not. The drinks are not consistent ever. When they're good, they're great but that is far and few between. The drinks are always overly sweet or overly milky. The ingredients are wrong, too. For example, the dry iced peppermint americano comes with chocolate inside of the cup. Today, that was completely missing. No one mentioned it, just hands off a drink that doesn't follow the recipe. The drive through is always slow. I'm talking a minimum of 5 minutes when no one is in front of you and up to 25 minutes if there is a line. Get your sh-- together and figure out how to run an effective business. read more

I've been asking myself why I've never stopped to check out The Coffee Bean before so today I decided to stop by while I was visiting the area. I decided to go through the drive thru since I was short on time. I was greeted quickly and decided on their vanilla cold brew latte and the Oreo drink. I was a bit hungry so I also ordered a flat bread sandwich to share with my daughter. Once at the window service was great and we had our drinks and food pretty quick. The parking lot was clean and we were on our way. My daughter drank hers so fast I didn't get a pic, but that means she loved it. Yay. I loved the cold brew way more than I thought. I typically just add some heavy cream and a bit of vanilla. I'd definitely come back again to try a few more items. read more

Good coffee. They have a drive thru at this location. I got the vanilla iced coffee. My brother got the blended caramel and my sister the Oreo cookie blended drink. The vanilla iced tasted different but definitely good. Like almost a mocha. I got a coupon for 10% off when you sign up but that's for retail. Apparently retail is for the coffee or tea that you can make home in a box or bag. Download the app to start getting points. I took the morning to run a few errands and did a search on Yelp for coffee spots I've not been to and voila! The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf! They're located in the heart of Peoria on Bell Ave. & 75th Ave which is super convenient. They're located in a little strip mall with plenty of ample parking. Their location is open, airy, bright, modern and everyone is so friendly! I was greeted instantaneously the moment I walked through the door. I went with the Black Forest ice blended drink which is a sweet concoction of mocha and cherry. Their prices are comparable with most any other local coffee shop for an iced blended drink. $5 will get you most anything regular sized on the menu which again is typical of just about any local coffee shop here in the Valley. One other thing about The Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf that I noticed today on my visit is the immense amount of support they have for 1st responders, EMT, Fire and Law Enforcement. This is awesome to see because there aren't enough local businesses who offer this kind of support to the individuals who hold these jobs. It's an awesome gesture and it's nice to see this kind of community support. But let's talk about this drink... My Black Forest iced blended drink was delicious in every sense of the word. It was the right amount of dark chocolate with the right amount of cherry flavoring. I opted to forego the whipped cream, but if you want it piled several inches high - they can accommodate your request! It was fresh, cold, refreshing and an awesome way to kick start my Friday morning. What the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf does best is their customer service. From the moment I was greeted until the time I left, it was a great experience. Elias (sp?) even took the time to introduce himself to me. You don't get that at very many places these days and I think it's important for local businesses to do that. In a day and age where we're surrounded by social media and instant gratification, it's nice to see local businesses go out of their way to be friendly and provide the level of customer service I obtained this morning. I don't know what happened to this coffee bean. We used to love this place and came here often. Lately, they are slow and some of the employees are rude. We went there last week for drinks, on a Sunday morning fairly early, and the two things I wanted, they were out of. We left without getting anything. We went back today since it was buy one get one and they said they couldn't honor it because "their system was down".
