This place was such a cool spot to check out! It's located inside the mall, all the way at the very end. The outdoor bar seating has only a couple seats, but that view is amazing! The barista wasn't very friendly. But my coffee was great! It's was called something like maple crunch. Just a drip. SO GOOD. Had a ton of flavor! I would definitely skip the bagel sandwiches, as they aren't the best. (There's a bagel place across the street)

Coffee was decent. We waited a while before being helped. They were busy filling other orders, but never looked up to acknowledge us and say 'I'll be with you in a minute!'

We weren't looking for a coffee spot but saw the signs for the best coffee views on the lake. The views were definitely beautiful! There is not abundant seating but it worked for the small space they had. We each got an iced coffee and with flavoring - there was a lot to choose from! Wish we had went there before lunch because they did have sandwiches there, which I would've liked. My only constructive feedback was the service was not friendly. The barista wasn't rude, just seemed to not enjoy being there which was too bad because it was a nice little spot with a beautiful setting.

This is a super cute coffee shop in the heart of Lake Placid's Downtown. It's at the end of a hallway with a few shops on the way to it. However... the coffee was bland. I ordered my go-to, a medium Mocha with non-dairy milk (today was Almond Milk). The drink was bland. No chocolate flavor, no coffee flavor, not even warmed almond milk flavor. At a minimum this should have been a passable drink and easy standard to make, but it wasn't and the only reason I drank it was because it was warm on a cold day. I would consider giving it a second chance on the basis it was just a bad day based on friendly customer service, views out the back and the cuteness of the shop.

We popped in here and loved it! Despite a line, the baristas cranked out coffees super quick. We got lattes and they were so tasty, we came back the following morning too. We enjoyed sitting on the deck, overlooking Mirror Lake.

The view was incredible and very unexpected! The iced coffee was very good, and the sandwiches were great, as well. I would like to give this place a 5-star review, but the barista that was working made the experience very uncomfortable and unpleasant. We went to order food (nobody else was in the cafe) and stood there waiting for her to say something. We had to start the conversation and process of ordering which was awkward. When asking what kind of bagels they offered for their breakfast sandwiches we were met with a noticeable sigh and eye roll from the barista as if we were bothering her. Then half way through us ordering, the (I assume) owner walked in and the barista stopped me halfway through my sentence to yell over to the owner multiple times saying, "We NEED to close at 3pm today, I'm not doing this." She then proceeded to complain about her shift to the owner. It was 11am... All in all I was very bummed about the experience as we spent 25 dollars (still left a tip, kill them with kindness, right?) on two sandwiches and two iced coffees... Again, the food was good and the view was beautiful on the deck, those are the only reasons this got a 3-star.

I visited this coffee shop about two months ago and there are three things about this coffee shop that are worth speaking on, I'll start with the best and finish with the worst of these: 1: The View- There's nothing like a morning coffee on a patio overlooking Lake Placid. The Lake Placid/Lake Saranac/Adirondacks region is one of the most breathtaking areas in the U.S. during the autumn season. If you haven't planned a trip out here, do it during early-mid October! This coffee spot had some limited seating outdoors where you could take in the view of the lake. 2: The Coffee- Ok. I got a drip coffee, so nothing special but got the job done. I was caffeinated. 3: The Staff- Ugh this really bothered me. I have to echo what some of the reviews said earlier regarding the staff not being nice. My friend and I came in one morning before our drive out of the area and we ordered coffee and bagel sandwiches. We ate so fast because we honestly DID NOT FEEL WELCOMED in that place. We are both very kind to restaurant/cafe staff and love taking their recommendations, chatting if they want to, etc. But this staff. I mean seriously. They honestly dampened the beauty of the view because we were so preoccupied with how inhospitable they were. We ordered separately and both said thank you after our order was taken, after we received our coffee, after we got our bagel sandwich, and on our way out. And to a total of 8 thank you's we received radio silence and the back or top of their heads. Reading other reviews and seeing that most discuss staff is definitely a red flag that this coffee shop should address. I love going to coffee shops in the morning for a warm cup of coffee and a cozy atmosphere where I can chat with loved ones and enjoy the space. This wasn't it. I can count on one hand how many one star reviews I've given, and sadly this experience was so bad I had to add this spot to that list.

Top-notch service and view. Jeff and Natasha run a great show here and we're incredibly friendly to my dog. I was surprised by the low prices - a similar meal would've likely been 1.5-2x in NYC. I got the blueberry muffin, banana, and a small Pumpkin Pie latte. Incredible view on the outdoor space, excellent for morning wake-up with a view.

a glass of iced tea and a piano keyboard

Very small but a beautiful view if you can sit outside. The coffee is good quality with all the usual espresso and tea drinks you'd expect. We've been several now on 2 different trips and it's a lovely place to sit and look out at the lake.

A rustic little coffee shop with the best views in the Alpine Mall - a patio in the shop looks out over the lake. Offers coffee and tea and some breakfast and lunch items - sandwiches, bagels, oatmeal, etc. Also has tasty fruit smoothies where you can choose the combination of fruits. Service can get slow since they usually only have one person working when it seems like it's more of a two person job. The offerings aren't showstoppers, but everything is good and hearty and the atmosphere is really pleasant, especially if you can get a patio seat. Nice way to start the day.

Go early and grab yourself a cappuccino or latte of the month. There can be a bit of a wait, but it's worth it. The coffee is phenomenal and the views are stellar.

Great coffee, lattes and chai and an amazing view of Mirror Lake. Dog friendly on the patio overlooking the water.

Capisce Coffee & Espresso Bar: A Lake Placid Essential…read more If you're looking for a coffee experience that matches the beauty of the Adirondacks, Capisce Coffee & Espresso Bar is a must-visit. From the welcoming "a place upstate" Adirondack chair out front to the cozy, shingle-sided exterior, this spot perfectly captures that rustic, high-peaks aesthetic. But it's the quality of the brew that truly sets it apart. The Espresso The espresso at Capisce is a masterclass in balance. It's rich and full-bodied with a velvety crema that hints at the care put into every pull. You won't find any bitterness here--just a smooth, complex shot that serves as the perfect foundation for their signature drinks. The Lattes Whether you need to warm up after a chilly morning at the lake or cool down after a mountain bike ride, their lattes are top-tier: Hot Lattes: The milk is steamed to a perfect micro-foam consistency--silky, sweet, and light. It blends beautifully with the espresso, creating a comforting drink that feels as artisanal as the surroundings. Iced Lattes: These are exceptionally refreshing. They manage to keep the espresso flavor front and center without letting the milk or ice wash it out. It's the ideal companion for a sunny afternoon on the patio. The Atmosphere There is something uniquely relaxing about grabbing a drink and sitting among the trees and rocks outside this cabin-style shop. It's clearly a favorite for locals and travelers alike, and for good reason--the "upstate" vibe is genuine, and the coffee is world-class. The service is full of happiness. Final Verdict: If you are in the Lake Placid area and take your caffeine seriously, Capisce is the place to be.

The employees were friendly, and our stuff came out fast. I got an iced latte with maple syrup and soy milk, my boyfriend got a salted caramel iced latte with vanilla cold foam, and my friend got a drip coffee. The coffee was so good! The only reason I'm not leaving 5 stars is because my friend got the savory cheese twist and it tasted stale, dry and not like cheese :( but the quiche was very good he said. Overall I'd definitely come back for more lattes! I'm happy to have tried this on a trip to Lake Placid.

Cornwall has a bubble tea place! And not only do they sell bubble tea, but they sell ice cream,…read moremilkshakes, cake slices, crepes (sweet and savoury) and quesadillas. Oh and did I mention that they sell unusual flavoured snacks like Banana Caramel KitKat, Root Beer flavoured Mike & Ike, and Birch Beer Crush?!? They also had Dr Pepper flavoured cotton candy. Mind blown! Lol. I was super tempted my their $1 a cone ice cream, but decided to stick with my original plan of getting some bubble tea. I went with the regular-sized Lychee Milk Tea ($4.99) and added Cherry Agar Pearls (an additional $1). My husband got a Mint Chocolate Milkshake ($6.99). So the freaky thing is that I totally forgot to tell the guy half sweet (my usual customization when I'm trying out a new place), but magically when I got my drink, the sticker said 50% sugar. Woah, he read my mind, lol. So the toppings list said "cherry tapioca" which intrigued me but when I got the drink, it was obviously agar/crystal pearls that were cherry flavoured. This was also a pleasant surprise because I love crystal boba/agar pearls and actually prefer them to tapioca pearls. I loved my drink. The lychee flavour wasn't too pronounced, but it was still tasty and not overly sweet. The agar pearls were chewy and delicious and the quantity was good. I had a sip of my husband's milkshake and it was really tasty, super rich and creamy, and it was aesthetically pleasing as well. Service was easy-going, as I was a bit indecisive at first and then changed my order as the guy was punching it into the cash register (oops, sorry, hehe). He was super nice and if he was annoyed, he didn't show it at all. If I lived in Cornwall, I would be there all the time. They are close to the highway, so I think not only will every Cornwall trip I make involve a stop here, but any trips on the 401 eastbound from Ottawa will also involve a visit to Sip & Scoop, lol. It's in a plaza with lots of free parking.

The drinks were good, but I was disappointed to see they had removed savoury foods and sandwiches from their menu. All in all, I enjoyed my visit.
