I've had much better pancakes at chain restaurants or even at home unfortunately. We also got the philly steak omelet and lobster eggs benedict, which were just ok. Additionally a $6.50 side of bacon came with just a couple limp, greasy pieces. The restaurant is a little tight too and it feels like everyone around you is right on top of you. Long story long: The food was good, but the customer service was disappointing. My brother ordered a half pineapple pizza for me in person. The counter employee repeated the order back to the kitchen as "half pineapple." When the pizza was brought out, it was half pineapple and ham. I called politely to explain the mistake and asked if it could be corrected. Instead of acknowledging that there may have been a mix-up and offering to fix it, I was argued with and told that my brother had ordered a Hawaiian pizza. I've been vegetarian for 14 years, and my brother knows that. He would never intentionally order a Hawaiian pizza for me. The woman on the phone, who I believe was the same employee who took the order, repeatedly told me, "He said Hawaiian," rather than trying to resolve the issue. I completely understand that mistakes happen. What I don't understand is why a simple mistake couldn't just be acknowledged and corrected without arguing with the customer. Side note: I had my one-year-old with me, so I really wasn't interested in going back and forth over a pizza. I was simply trying to get the order corrected and move on. Good food, but unfortunately, the way this situation was handled left a bad impression. Mistakes happen--good customer service is about how you handle them.
