At first I was a little skeptical about the place considering it was a cocktail bar in the middle of Coolock?
A cocktail bar in Coolock Village, you must be having a laugh? What right did it have being there after all?
And then I entered, one Sunday to see for myself.
First of all the staff were quite helpful and we were sat down less than a minute before we had a menu in front of us and were going through it looking for something nice to eat.
For starters we tried the nachos which were maybe a little steep, price-wise, but were lovely nonetheless. Recommended if you like nachos drenched in cheese.
For our main we had the 10Euro roast of the day, which came with mash, roasties, and veg and 2 generous slices of steak. The potatoes were made surprisingly well, and i'm quite finicky when it comes to my spuds.
Afterwards we decided to dip into the cocktails which are only a 5er on Sundays. After approaching the bar and going a little red faced asking for the slightly provocatively named cocktails and watching them being made in front of my eyes I sauntered back to my seat to taste my prize. We ended up staying until our pockets were empty and we enjoyed many cocktails.
The toilets were kept nice and clean which is always a nice thing and they look quite flashy for a bar in the Coolock area.
The only thing I would say is that the air conditioning needs to be improved as it gets quite hot inside as the number of clientele increases during the night.
This place gets buzzing as the night goes on, and everyone loves a cocktail, especially with the heat wave we are experiencing right now. Women and men alike will be seen sipping through straws their cocktail of choice.
A cocktail bar in Coolock Village you say? Having a laugh? Yes I did!!! ...
