I will keep this short, but just be sure to get a quote from him. We brought in some leather dress shoes, and were charged $35 at pickup. He did not willingly give that quote at drop off and I had to ask for it. A couple weeks later, we brought in an identical pair of shoes, just in a different color. To our best knowledge the shoes were worn the same amount. It is partially my fault for not asking for more details, but I dropped the shoes off, expecting the same services for $35 again. We were quite shocked to be charged $120 this time at pickup. He kept explaining that one was replacing just the heels, and one was replacing the entire soles. I said that I understand that now, but $35 vs $120 is a huge difference and customers need to be quoted ahead of time. He tried to say that he did quote us on the yellow ticket, and I showed him the ticket proving that was not true. He does good work but just be sure to get an estimate. I am not sure we'll be back. read more

Superb work. Leon is a master. If he can't fix something, it's not fixable. He has solutions to all types of issues I've brought in--shoes that didn't fit, purses that were a mess and he fixed them where another local shop was unable too. Leon was very open and kind to me, as I asked him about his homeland and to educate me about the politics of his country. I am so grateful to have found him and will bring all my leather goods that need fixing to him. read more

My shoes were dirty and stained when I picked it up. He said I did it, even though I know I did not! I did not argue... not worth my energy. But I would suggest taking pictures before to compare. read more

I have gone to them twice now. Both times I have walked right in explained what I needed and in a few days I come back pick up my goods and my items look great. They are priced reasonably and really no hassle. I've fixed shoes, a suitcase, backpack, and leather dog collar. read more

Great service. The owner was already closed and In his car when he saw me walk up to his business and he came out and allowed me to drop off some shoes that needed repair. He even gave me options on different levels of repair to fit my needs. Great service. read more

The Cobbler is the only place I will take my shoes and boots, ge does excellent work.

I had the hardware of my bag fixed and while it is functionable now, the quality of the work was not the best. There are deep scratches and glue oozing out of the screw holes. I wouldn't take your best things to get fixed here, but if you're looking for a quick and inexpensive fix, this place will do. More importantly, the customer service is lacking at this establishment. It feels like walking into a military boot camp, and you only speak when you have been spoken to. read more

I have a pair of flats damaged by walking in the rain all day in Florida and the insoles were coming off. So I came here to have the insoles glued back on and also add new heels for total of $16. When I got my shoes back, it was not as nice as I was expected. The new heels looks good, but It was a sloppy job on glueing back the insoles, it was not in place, there were still fabrics flopping out. I also found rips on the inside fabric on my shoe. On top of that, my shoes were dirty. You would expect him to clean it right? Nope! I paid him and was just taking 5 seconds to check out the shoes (instead of taking my change), he was like "take your change." Seems like he just want me to get out of there. Jeez... ! He didn't even ask if I am happy with the repair. read more

I am very disappointed! Overpriced and poor quality work. I was charged $72 for three pairs of shoes and they didn't even look clean and weren't even polished. read more

See all

I've had many shoes repaired or fixed up here, the place does good work and the prices are decent. Actually didn't a better job than I expected! I now recommend family and friends, never a complaint from them. read more

Found Leonid's shop by accident just driving through the shopping complex. He replaced the soles and heels on an expensive pair of men's shoes. I wouldn't be able to wear them if not fixed. The cost was reasonable but well worth it. He repaired a 2nd set of men's shoes, not as much work required but well worth it to me. His shop is full of different shoe polishes & creams. He can safe you a ton of money with repair instead of replacement. read more

These folks are marvelous at what they do and very very reasonably priced for their services. If you've got old favorite shoes with some issues, they'll fix them back up excellently. There's limits to worn shoe repairs of course, but if I get a few more years out of my favorite loafers, they'll be WELL worth it! read more

The owner is a rude disagreeable person. I went in with a pair of boots, not expensive ones, and asked if he could put new heels on them. He told me it was junk. It probably was, but that's no way to get a customer to come back read more

I had somerepair work done on some boots. It was a relatively easy task. They seem to be fine, just a little rough around the edges. I would not recommend sending high quality shoes or boots there. read more

Hidden gem in Folsom; always reliable shoe and luggage repair. Just got an on the spot heel repair - thanks Cobbler!!

I normally confine reviews to eateries but this place warrants a warning review for Yelpers. It's run by a burly, grizzly bear of a russian guy named Leonid. He's not much in the customer service dept. But I could excuse that if the work were "old school" meaning craftsman-like. It's not. I had a pair of shoes resoled and they came out with black crap all over them. I pointed this out and he grudgingly cleaned them up. I also had a pair shined as they were scuffed, etc. Work on those was not better than the airport shine guys. Prices are not crazy but not great either. I'd go elsewhere (I will). read more

I drive from Sacramento to Folsom to get my shoes repaired. I had many heels replaced, coach boots repaired and a lot more other shoes I had repaired. His work is great and his prices are very reasonable. read more

I took two pairs of shoes in to be stretched. I heard it could be done but had never tried it. I dropped them off and he said it would be a week. When I went to pick them up them up, they were the same. He said he would try again and I could pick them up Monday. I went Monday and they were closed with a sign saying to call before you come that week as they will be open different hours. Called every day, never got an answer. Left a voicemail. Never got a returned call. Finally three weeks later I pay my $15 to get the shoes back the same as they were before. His response was, sometimes the stretch doesn't hold. Why are you offering a service that you know doesn't work? Why when it clearly doesn't work are you taking money for it? I won't return. read more

Good value for timely service. Had dress shoes re-heeled. The heels are better than the shoes came with brand new!

This place has "saved" a couple of pairs of shoes and one pair of expensive sandals as well as my wife's favorite purse. They do this at very inexpensive prices. I am glad to see there are still craftsman of this nature that provide this type of service. I would recommend this place to anyone who needs shoes, a purse or luggage repaired. read more

I regularly have my shoes resoled here. I keep coming back because of the quality work -- the new materials blend seamlessly into the original shoe, often looking better than they did originally. Prices aren't a bargain, but I'm glad to pay them for reliable results. But the owner scares me. So 4 stars instead of 5! read more

Sorry, I really DON'T like giving poor reviews but we went to this guy 3x and, frankly, his personality SUCKS. He doesn't exude ANY appreciation for his customers business and reminds me of Seinfeld's Soup Nazi ("no shoes for you"). No matter WHAT job you bring -- big or small -- it is always a week. We were lucky to find another shoe repair person. read more

This guy is no muss no fuss and he does a great job! Decent pricing and quick turn around! So glad I found this place! Fixed up my favorite pair of boots just like new! read more

I brought in a Coach wallet with a broken zipper to see if it could be saved. I had already tried to tighten the slider myself with no improvement. The man who works there looked at it, took it in the back and returned after about 30 seconds with it fixed! No charge! Amazing! read more

I had the heels fixed on two pair of my older boots. I was not sure they could be fixed, but he did a wonderful job of repairing them. He also cleaned and waterproofed them and the total was only $39. Since my boots were about 20 years old, he actually told me where the leather was from which I thought was very interesting. I thought he was a nice friendly person to deal with and definitely would recommend. read more

Always does great work in a timely manner. Very happy with all the work I have had done.

Great job repairing bags, and also boots. Reasonable price. Items are always ready for pickup. I think the work is done right.

I went in for a quick fix for my heels and asked for a couple of extra holes on each strap. The owner of the shop was more than willing to help me out, plus did it free! Thank you! The shoes worked out perfectly! Will be returning with future shoes to be fixed! read more

Resoled two pairs of Birkenstock sandals. $48 per pair. Solid work. He cemented the cracks in the cork just because.

From the picture I cannot tell is this is the right vendor. If it is the Cobblers in Folsom, CA, I am extremely happy with his work. I would definitely recommend this vendor. read more

Great service!!!!!!!! I took in my Tory Burch purse to get fixed and he made it look perfect! Plus it was only $16 to fix. Thank you!!!!!!

Love the quality you get here. Customer service - not over the top talkative - but not needed with the fair, artisan work done here. Thank you! read more

This store has limited hours and poor customer service. They quoted me almost $20 bucks to glue the bottoms on my hiking boots! I did it myself for $5 instead. read more

My son needed his dress shoes polished and some scrapes and scuffs removed for his Senior Ball. The price was very fair, they were done quickly and look almost brand new. Great work! read more

Great find, took my boots in to get zipper repaired. Worked completed nicely, on time as promised for a decent price, highly recommend the Cobblers for shoe or luggage repair! read more

I bought a new purse and needed to punch four new holes on shoulder strap. The shop owner punched the holes for me for free! I didn't expect that at all. read more

Poor customer service, received unsolicited advice, overpriced. Will not be returning.

I lean to the left a little, about 1/2 inch. To avoid excruciating hip pain I need to have a heel lift inserted in all my shoes but the ones you just put inside the shoe are uncomfortable and lift my heel too far out of the shoe. So every time I buy a new pair of shoes I take the left shoe to Leo the Cobbler, he cuts the sole and inserts a like colored and textured material to compensate for my short leg. His work is immaculate and permanent! You can not notice the difference without a very close inspection and the results keep me pain free and comfortable. Thank you Leo for your fine craftsmanship. read more

This place was absolutely amazing, This one day I brought in my broken shoes and a friend told me about this place and she said that he was great so I came and he gave me a cheap price. I also had to have by Thursday and I needed it for a wedding in Dubai for my best friend and I was the best man and these were also my most favorite shoes ever. I started to talk to him buy maybe trying to fix it by the next day because I was leaving that afternoon and he totally did it for me that next morning before I was going to leave. He made it such a cheap price even for my expensive shoes that I got in Berlin. I am going to come back soon to fix all my shoes, he was absolutely awesome. read more
