I happen to walk on the outside of my feet, so my Birkenstocks were worn out on the outside heel. I waited too long, so I was already compressing the cork. I took it here and my Birkenstocks look like new! He built up the missing cork and put a new Birkenstock brand rubber sole on them . I paid $65. I know that seems much, but these are in great shape otherwise and they are molded to my feet perfectly. Taking in my other pair to get fixed. P.S. I took these to some other she repair places and they were a little cheaper, but they are not using brand soles, and no one even talked about building up the cork again. So be careful. read more

Michael is amazing. I have high end shoes that need little things such as heels replaced, heels rebuilt, resoling, etc. He is a master and I drive a couple hours to have him take care of my shoe needs. I would recommend him to anyone. I'm not going to say he is a value but that just isn't something I'm expecting with high end shoe repair. As a tip, because he is a sole proprietor, if you do make the drive and it's long, you may want to call him a few days before to double check he's not taking an off day or some other schedule variation. read more

4/29/2022: I needed my designer purses repaired and cleaned; Sole Provider was the only place within the Tri-Counties' businesses repairing my designer purses-Bally, Paloma Picasso, Gucci. Alright~I'm willing driving to Carmichael in order, having my purses professionally repaired and cleaned plus, pay cash upfront in order, having the repair and cleaning performed STAT. He was honest that the item only needed conditioning. He could have charged me $100 to condition the item, but instead, he encouraged me to buy the conditioning cream for less than $10 and he gave me instructions on how to do it. I took a purse in to have the strap fixed. Mike not only glued it back but added rivets to BOTH sides, which means it'll never break that way again. I held onto this purse for years because I love it so much, but it broke shortly after I bought it. He even commented on what a cool bag it is. :) I'll bring all my Birks here to get them re-soled. I have been a customer of Sole Provider shoe repair shop for a few years now. Mike, the owner, has helped me with repairing sneakers (he turned me on to Shoe Goo, which is awesome for fixing a detached sole), and has put heel protectors on my roper boots. But enough about shoes. He has also helped me with three guitar straps! Today I took a strap in for him to stitch. For some reason a guitar strap I bought on Ebay was extraordinarily long. I guess if I was eight feet tall it would have worked, but on a good day I'm not even close. Anyway, I came in and talked with him about it and he said to set it up how I want it and "that's where I come in." He's the one with the industrial sewing machine. I went home, cut the strap to the correct size, pinned it and brought it back to Mike. He was really nice and happy that I brought it in for him to repair. I showed him where it needed to be stitched on both ends and he said, "I'll make it strong." I came back a little over an hour later and it was done perfectly! Brought a pair of boots in that had zippers installed by Sole Provider a long time ago. The slider and stops came off of one boot, and for one reason or another I could not bring them back until just now. Even if I still had a receipt the failure would have been out of warranty by now. Mentioned all this as I dropped them off, indicating I was not expecting warranty work.
