Yelp maps said it was more than 2 kilometres away, so not sure what happened there. Moxies did not disappoint, and our server Shaye was absolutely excellent. Outgoing, friendly and very good at what she did. Even took the time to make sure K's veggies were cooked on the more well done side that she prefers. Kudos to the kitchen also, for making it happen, small details matter. Her steak was cooked perfectly, and the mashed potatoes very nice. My Beet salad was very well made although I prefer my beets to be a little more al dente. The blackened chicken was good, if perhaps a little over. I believe they use a seasoned breast, which is not my favourite. Our beverages were nicely made, that said wine is difficult to mess up, but a good martini is not easy. The decor is typical Moxies, they are all pretty much the same. That said familiarity is often comforting, and we certainly felt that way. We will be back for sure.

Served with baby zucchini, roasted heirloom carrots. The Cobb salad was very different than any Cobb I have had before. It was an iceberg head halved wedge style topped with whole slices of bacon, croutons, heirloom tomatoes, feta, avocados, capers, hard boiled egg halves with an interesting yolk filling, a tasty white sauce with a slab of grilled salmon on top. It was a very nice change. Dined in a spacious lounge off set from the crowded main room suggested by the host. Service was 5 star and it was excellent way to spend lunch.

We were 22 strong, so taking care of us on short notice looked like it could be an issue. Not for Fifty Parallel! I called at a few minutes before 5 PM and asked if they could accommodate 20ish folks at 7 PM. I was put on hold for a minute and told that yes they could, that doesn't happen often. The staff took exceptional care of all of us. They were very friendly, accommodating and just right. The place was hopping the entire time we were there, so the locals must enjoy the place as well. The menu is quite wide ranging, from Greek fare, to Italian, pizza, seafood, you name it. Usually when there are this many choices they are decent at the range, but not outstanding at anything. Not the case here, everyone raved about the food and the beverages as well. Our beer drinking crowd loved the selection of mainly BC product. Couldn't have gone better, and we will be sure to return our next time in Campbell River.

Well guess what, it did, More Eatery did not disappoint, it was excellent! It's a store, take-away and eat in all in one. Given the amount of people picking up food there is no secret locally that the food is good. Our service was good, with two ladies taking care of whatever was needed. The menu items are quite eclectic, but with the ingredients all printed on the menu you know exactly what you are getting which I appreciate. I chose the Italiano Benny which had pork belly on focaccia topped with poached eggs, arugula, tomato, a pesto hollandaise and mashed taters. It was delicious, flavourful and very filling. The lovely K had the Breaky Wrap which had bacon, scrambled eggs, arugula, green and pickled onions, cotija cheese, a cilantro crema and tater tots along with mashed taters. It was also outstanding and filling. It's bright and airy inside with items for sale that are cool and different, and the aforementioned take-away keeps the traffic moving. Overall with last nights top quality meal, and this one the following morning, the food scene here is Campbell River is alive and vibrant. Can't wait to return.

But holy hell this carrot cake is prob the best slice of carrot cake I've ever had, whoever is baking back in the kitchen is a total rockstar. This cake is moist flavourful, the nuts are a great add and the icing isn't too sweet it's simply perfect. We were shocked at how this blew us away. As for the beers my hubby got 2 that he thought were pretty good but I wasn't drinking and ordered their homemade ice tea and omg they did it again, so shockingly good! Just the right amount of citrus and great tea flavour. The over atmosphere inside is just okay but the service is attentive and all in all we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious our few items were!
