Inky are our twice in Campbell River but I can see myself coming here regularly even if it was not in Campbell River. The beer was solid. Not life changing but it was all good. The pale ale was like a light IPA which is really nice, because sometimes you just want a ... lighter IPA, you know? The red ale was like a light stout, also nice because sometimes you just want a ... lighter stout, you know? The stout was smoky and creamy. The food was solid too. Favorite was grilled peach salad. That was great. The contents of the pork taco was good. The tortilla could have used a few seconds on a hot plate or griddle. Heating it up can really do wonders to lame, store bought tortillas. The apple, blue cheese and walnut tart was the sort of dish that a meat eater would be like, eh, nice quiche, but I bet vegetarians love that they made an effort to prepare something thoughtful and interesting and delicious for them. The meatballs were good too, although among the 4 things we ordered, the most ordinary. Staff were wearing masks. Capacity was limited. There was hand sanitizer at the door. All appreciated. My review is based on few menu items done exceptionally well so please keep that in mind! My husband and I were driving through and already had eaten a big late lunch so opted to head here for dinner but weren't too hungry so decided to order the carrot cake, yes carrot cake for dinner because we're adults and can do what we want. But holy hell this carrot cake is prob the best slice of carrot cake I've ever had, whoever is baking back in the kitchen is a total rockstar. This cake is moist flavourful, the nuts are a great add and the icing isn't too sweet it's simply perfect. We were shocked at how this blew us away. As for the beers my hubby got 2 that he thought were pretty good but I wasn't drinking and ordered their homemade ice tea and omg they did it again, so shockingly good! Just the right amount of citrus and great tea flavour. The over atmosphere inside is just okay but the service is attentive and all in all we were pleasantly surprised by how delicious our few items were! read more

I had the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich and my husband had the Beach Fire Burger. We split and neither of us could decide which one we liked more. The only brewery in Campbell River so it's a popular local spot and there is a good vibe. Nice servers but the beers that i had were bad. I had the Pale Ale which was tough to finish and the Hazy which was only slightly better. read more

Loved this hip gem of a brewery with a cool menu and great service! Fire Beach has a casual vibe with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and a bicycle themed rustic decor. The beer was very tasty, our favorite was the Saison, but ALL the beer was solid! We enjoyed beet salad, sticky cauliflower, burgers and a pulled pork Sammy. This is more than your average pub food! Each dish was delicious, well prepared with fresh ingredients, and served with a smile! We will be back! read more

Really good food, the fish tacos were the best I've had, halibut with an amazing crispy coating; and a yummy salad of mozerella, tomatoes and fresh pesto and micro greens. We finished off our lunch with a very good carrot cake. I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Beach Fire is the first of what I hope is many local brew pubs to open in Campbell River. You simply can't find this experience in any other watering hole in town. The menu changes daily and is written up on a chalk board. As items run out they get wiped off. The seating arrangement includes patio, bar stools, several inside tables and two harvest tables where the willing adventurous can experience something I haven't seen outside Vancouver and Montreal, eating with strangers (gasp!). Everything I've had here is delicious, and most ingredients are locally sourced when possible as far as I know. The beer here stands up to the waves of new breweries opening up all over BC. Every Tuesday they run a small batch creation which is usually sold out by Wednesday afternoon, so if you wanted to try it, make sure you get down early! In addition to atmosphere, good food and beer, they bring in live music a few times a month. If your in CR, definitely stop in and experience the family feeling service. read more

This is an OK place at best. The beer closest you what I've drunk before was definitely a home brew. I asked about food, no standard pub food, and very little selection of what they did have. It's small, and standing around waiting for a place to sit while getting started at and looked over like I didn't bring was uncomfortable since I'm from out of the country. This may be a great locals go to spot, but not traveler friendly. read more

We visit micro breweries in areas as we travel, and Beach Fire Brewery is a very nice find. - We like to explore Belgian-style beers and we don't enjoy IPAs, so we were pleased to enjoy the beers on tap, including the raspberry ale, the Belgian single, and the Witbier. - We highly recommend BFB for its beers, and for the friendly, knowledgeable staff! read more

Great food and atmosphere. The menu changes every day, apparently. We went for lunch, and almost everything we ordered was delicious, from coffee to entrees to dessert (soup was merely good). Pretty presentation. Portions aren't huge but prices aren't either. The server was friendly and we didn't feel rushed. Very family-friendly (they have a space with some toys in the corner where your antsy kids can move around). We don't live in the area, so this was a one-time stop for us, but would highly recommend this spot. read more

We have only been here once and the atmosphere is great, the beer is decent and the one dish we tried was excellent. They change the menu all the time, which is quite a cool idea, although we got there just before the 2:00 pm (I think) cut off of the lunch menu so felt a little rushed to order something before they wiped off the blackboard. Cool washrooms and decor. The one issue was the service. The waitress seemed very disinterested and had no smile or personality. She may have been having a bad day, but that is one thing that will make me think twice before going to a place a second time. read more

I loved this place. Their pale ale is the best I've had to date. We also had a plate of their house made pickles... Which tickled me pink. They were bang on, nice and varied, totally perfect. Went for lunch with three friends on a Saturday. The menu changes daily, so food is fresh. Shared a pulled pork sandwich and a sausage dish, both were excellent. Service was great. The open set-up easily accommodated a large baby stroller without blocking the flow of customers and servers. Highly recommend. Looking forward to going again and trying a flight of beer. read more
