A little background - a couple of years ago we needed to have an extremely dirty house in San Antonio cleaned - The company we hired sent a crew that that had one person who spoke English and could translate for us and the crew, each person went to different areas, and when they were finished, the transformation was unbelievable. The house sparkled. It was a positive experience all around. We needed to get our house cleaned for company next week. I got bids from a couple of companies by sending them the list of what we wanted to have done and selected The Cleaning Authority, expecting the same quality of work. We wanted the bathrooms, the master bedroom, a guest room (which just needed dusting as it had been painted and carpeted recently), and the public spaces downstairs in the house cleaned. They did not have to do the windows, sills, blinds or the wood floor on the main floor. I emphasized that the kitchen was really important. I acknowledged that if the work wasn't done in four hours we could negotiate for more time, and said that was ok. What we got: two women who did not communicate in English, who wasted probably 45 minutes of time in the already cleaned guest room, didn't clean any room thoroughly (not even trying to clean the tubs or floors) before going to the next room, didn't even work on the kitchen until the last, and walked out without even trying to find me or my husband to see if we wanted them to go over the time limit to finish the job. I just happened to look out the window to see them packing up their equipment and went out to get them to finish the kitchen. When I called the next day to complain, the person I talked to wanted to come out to see what I was talking about, asked if I had taken any pictures, and offered to have someone else come out to clean. I replied that since we had company coming the NEXT week, we were already doing the cleaning not done, didn't have time to take pictures, and certainly didn't want her or anyone from the company to come to our house ever again. I strongly urge anyone looking for a cleaning company not to even consider this one. If someone does choose them, be sure to take pictures, have a translator available, accept a price for the job and not by the hour, and watch them like a hawk to see that they are actually working and really cleaning. read more

I hired this company at the beginning of April to clean our home and since then they have broken at least three items, one in my infant's room and they didn't even tell us about it. They also left my door unlocked, left the door from our house to the garage ajar. When I had to call the office to inform the owner of broken items, at first they did nothing to compensate for the broken items. With this last item, it was a large mirror that even broke the frame. After negotiations, the company said they would refund my cleaning but that has yet to happen and I've officially cancelled any future services with them. This was certainly disappointing especially with how management handled the broken items. I feel like both the cleaning crews and management are extremely careless with the business. read more

Fantastic cleaners! However day off, they were suppose to be here at 2. By 2:30 I called and corporate could only tell me they were running behind. I elected to have him call a local manager and get a better time frame. They called shortly later and said their new start time would be between 3-4. Thankfully they were here about 3. We had their service for 6+ years. After the new ownership acquired the franchise in 2019, the new ownership changed our cleaning time slot that we had for 6+ without telling us. It changed our whole family schedule, which didn't work for us. When I asked the new owner about it, they said that they added a new customer, who then took our time slot. But we weren't asked or notified about it! We have a family schedule that doesn't allow us to be out of the house + or - 4 hours while the house is being cleaned at their convenience. When I asked the owner to change us back to the original schedule, he said he would. Next cleaning came two weeks later - the crew still shows up late by 3 hours and they went to someone else's home first. Also, somehow magically our entire cleaning now only takes 1h 45min, while it used to take 2.5 - 3 hours. You can tell the difference that the quality and thoroughness of the cleanings has gone down. It seems that the owners are trying to squeeze out every possible dollar out of their employee schedules, while the quality and customer service is taking a nose dive. After I notified the owner that we were cancelling service, they offered $25 discount on the next cleaning and our old schedule back. Too late - already switched to another company. Lost a loyal customer of 6+ years just like that. read more

The cleaning team is supposed to be at our house first thing on Friday. Twice they have changed our time to 1:00 without any notification. Still waiting on manager to call me back so I can pick up my key. They do an okay job in cleaning and I don't think I'm getting my money's worth for what I'm paying. read more

I have used TCA for several years. The service has never been top notch, however since they changed owners, the service has gotten really poor and I've had to make numerous calls for various forgotten items. The last straw was my last cleaning in January 2020. I recently installed Ring, so I can see who is entering and leaving my home. I saw when the crew got there, the two girls who entered, and when they left. They were there at my house for an hour and 20 minutes. They did a terrible job. They even left a card that their cleaning that day had been inspected (by another person). Well, with Ring, as I said, I can see who enters/leaves my home. The person who supposedly inspected never came to my home. I will be seeking others for estimates to clean my house. It's just the 2 of us and an occasional grown child, so our house doesn't get dirty. Just pet hair, dust, the kitchen and bathrooms that get daily use. I do not recommend this company any longer as they are not responsive to concerns, won't return calls or facebook messages. Had they contacted me after my calls and messages I would not have left negative reviews. However, since I too am in the service industry, they blew their chance to recover this.
