Classic Auto Factory = Crappic Auto Fuctory
I typically save my time spent on giving reviews to the ones who deserve to be recognized because of their outstanding service.
It takes a really negative experience for me to take the time to write a review like this, because I know how it can effect one`s business when a simple mistake is made by an employee, or when dealing with an impatient customer.
This review is written under completely different circumstances than that, and if you take the time needed to read this novel, you`ll understand why I feel they should change their name to "Crappic Auto Fuctory"
This review serves as a warning to anyone who might be looking to invest their hard earned money into a reputable business that will make sure you are getting what you paid for.
Crappic Auto Fuctory masks their lack of performance, communication, quality of service, and most importantly their promised word, behind a flashy website and some smooth talking.
If there`s anything you`re guaranteed to get, it`s a professional B.S. session.
Let`s talk about the $44,000 Mustang that I regretfully purchased from them recently, and the red flags I should have noticed before making a deal on the car.
#1. They listed the car as a true Mach 1 code car (incorrect).
The salesman did let me know about this, but they never changed it on their website.....obviously to draw more attention to the car.
#2. After inquiring about known issues the car might have had, the salesman let me know the power steering line was broken (I`m sure because this was obvious and couldn`t be discreetly hidden), but that they were going to make the repairs to the line.
Great! Awesome! Their website says they have top quality mechanics........so that`s peace of mind, right?
Well, after flying halfway across the country to go look at the car over a week after he told me they were fixing it......it was still in the same condition, broken, dangling from the car.
I guess the salesman didn't think I`d want to see the "quality work" his mechanics are capable of, and test drive the car as it should have been......fixed.
He actually had to jump start the car (not overly uncommon, but you`d think he`d everything prepped and ready for the guy who`s flying in from across the country right?)
#3. I negotiated a deal on the car (which included shipping and some basic repairs and I`ll get to those in a minute), handed the salesman $10,000 in cash as a down payment.......and I had to ask him for a receipt.
Never had that happen in all of my experiences in buying a car....anyone else?
Still, with all of these red flags that I should have seen, I proceeded with buying the car, trusting that these were things I really shouldn't be bothered too much by.
After all, when you enter the facility, everything looks legit, and everyone talks to you as salesmen should (hmm, I`m even pondering how that sounds now that I`m seeing it in writing).
But, that all isn't the reason I`m writing a detailed review.
The B.S. didn't really start until after I paid them in full for the car (within 2 days of making the deal).
First, the agreement:
Including shipping the car to me, was:
Getting all of the ORIGINAL gages in operational order.
Fixing the (still broken) power steering line.
I flew home with high hopes that I made the right deal, Crappic Auto Fuctory was going to honor their word in the agreement we made, and that my newly purchased classic mustang was in good hands with their expert mechanics!
Wrong, wrong, and wrong!
The agreement was made with a cash down payment on March 18th, I had the car paid in full with Crappic Auto Fuctory by the 23rd.
Communication with the salesman was perfect up until the car was paid in full, he`d answer every time I called (or at least text me and let me know he`d get back to me right away).
After I paid in full, it would take hours, multiple texts or calls for him to respond.
I would only call every 5 days or so to see what the progress with the car was, and get a date on shipping.
The response was pretty much typical every time.
"Waiting on parts, wrong part came in, needed additional parts"
Now, I know you can't just run out to Pep Boys and buy parts for this car, but you can certainly have them delivered in less than 3 weeks.
Anyhow, I`m getting a little frustrated at this point, but I`m a patient guy, so I`ll wait........as long as the job is being done correctly, I`m not complaining.
Let`s fast forward a month.....actually over a month, more like 6 weeks.
After starting to lose my patience, they finally get the car done!!
Great news, my car is finally on its way!!!!
Everything repaired as it should be, and mine to take delivery of, and head out on my first cruise, hot-diggity.....I`m excited!!!!!
April 28th, the car shows up.
The hauler can't get the car started, hmm, battery dead, ok, ok, not the end of the world.
Pop the hood, and get my jump box out.......only to find the battery laying sideways and barely hooked up.
