The staff in the trailer were very nice and helpful. Menu says all items come with house focaccia. Wasnt till we left that we realized they didnt include it. The alfredo was lacking seasoning other than the garlic and the three of us found it boring. My wifes gnocchi was burnt which ruined her meal. Maybe thats why it took more than 30 min to get three half orders of pasta. It wasnt terrible but we wouldnt go again. read more

Made a pit stop here on a roadtrip to Bend and I am so so glad we found this gem. We arrived a hour before close and it took about 15-20 mins to get our orders but it was well worth the wait. As we were waiting we could smell the fresh garlic being sautéed. The pesto cream sauce was SO SO SO good! The gnocchi has been crisped up a bit before being tossed in sauce so they had a nice crust on them and a pillowy center. The pasta for the marinara was a little over cooked but otherwise it was good. We also got some extra focaccia on the house which was very sweet! read more

Really delicious Italian food truck in La Pine! Was looking for a good lunch stop on the way back up to Bend and this checked every box - filling, delicious, fresh and hot! My husband made a build your own pasta with steak (with jalapeños, !!) I had the grilled cheese and tomato soup lunch special which was delicious. I don't often order grilled cheese at a restaurant but this was 5 stars. Accompanied by a cider from the next door cidery, which is super cute, we were really happy with this meal and would absolutely visit again. OMG Yes! We visited the Chubby Duck two years ago on a trip from California. We made another trip through LaPine, and made sure to plan our lunch timing just to stop and enjoy the Chubby Duck. We were once again delighted. The food is top quality, fresh, and filled with delicious flavors. Don't let the food truck/trailer concept detour you. This is a lovely spot adjacent to a brewery, and enjoyed the sunshine and breeze, making our meal even more enjoyable. My husband had the daily special of Broccoli bacon alfredo mac and cheese = creamy, rich and delicious. I had the build your own with pasta, butter and wine sauce with garlic (a must have), choice of three veggies, and shrimp = to die for delicious with all the flavors blending together beautifully. I'm not sure either of us stopped going mmmmm mmmmm mmmm with each bite until done. I also want to add that the value was impressive. In today's markets, it's hard to find this quality and quantity for a reasonable price. The Chubby Duck nails it all. Oh, and the Orzo Salad - definately suggest you try it too! I don't always pick the best places while playing navigator on a road trip but this time I hit the nail on the head. The Chubby Duck is fantastic -- high quality food just off the highway in La Pine, OR. We opted to sit in the Badlands Artisan Distillery so we could complement our delicious gnocchi with some local brews (I got a salty strawberry cider, my husband got one of their IPAs). The folks running The Chubby Duck were friendly and helpful. And sitting outside in a shaded picnic area was relaxing -- a great reprieve from a long drive through Eastern Oregon. read more

What a find! This place is delicious!! An unassuming food truck parked behind a distillery hold secrets of absolutely amazing pasta. We were just hoping for a decent lunch but were pleasantly surprised to find perfectly cooked pasta in made to order sauces that was packed with flavor. Portions are huge and their homemade focaccia is to die for to. Grab your 3lb box of scrumptious pasta made just how you like and head into the distillery for a great drink. 10/10 recommended! read more
