My lucky day though the brownies were hard enough that the spoon broke. I ate about 1/3rd. They have outdoor tables.

Such a treat. I love coming to Larriland each year to grab fresh fruit. I still decided to go and buy some from the farm stand and to see if they at least still had some of my favorite products. They did I was happy to grab some up. They have Taharka Bros ice cream and some flavors I had never tried before so I grabbed a couple, don't judge. Not stating if they made it home or not but why would anyone let perfectly good ice cream go to waste on a hot ride home. Come on now, make it make sense lol. If I'm back in the area during harvest time, I'll definitely go back to grab up some fresh produce.

I went to Larriland Farm with a few friends this past Saturday afternoon for blackberry and peach…read morepicking, which are two of my favorite fruits. I've also never picked either fruit before, so I was very excited. The farm is huge, with many different sites. We stopped by the farm market first to look at various produce. There were so many fresh fruits and vegetables (if you are lazy and don't want to pick any, you can buy it here). We were very enticed by the strawberry milk (which sadly, I didn't end up buying). I did buy a bag of dry ingredients to make corn chowder for 14.99, which I enjoyed four meals of! First, we went to pick blackberries. I got one of the cartons for 9.99 (there's also a smaller one for 6.99) because I got greedy and wanted lots of blackberries. Unfortunately, it took me at least an hour to fill up my carton with the blackberries that looked ripe since most of the ones we saw looked more like raspberries (bright red, incredibly tart, and most definitely not ready to be picked). Very occasionally, I'd find a really fat and juicy blackberry, which immediately got plucked off the tree and straight into my carton. I tried some of them after picking and a lot of them were pretty sour even though they were ripe. I was quite sad that I labored in vain. Overall, it was a very hot day and with the scarce amount of ripe blackberries, I should have just bought them at the farm market. Finally, one of my friends and I went to pick peaches while the rest of them went to stare at sunflowers. We were done in less than 15 minutes since we picked ~30 for the 19.99 box (the cheapest option). The peaches were great, 2-3 days after picking. I've been enjoying them with other friends so far. If there's anything I'd recommend picking from Larriland, it's the peaches. Fun time at the farm, the prices are a bit steep for picking, and I'm still kind of sad about the lack of sweet blackberries.

Bolder filled by 5:45pm on a dreary Thursday in late winter, deservedly so. Want to come later,…read moreeven on a weeknight, make a reservation or prepare to wait. This was our first time here, as on prior occasions we found the line too daunting. We were surprised when another 4:15pm patron was led to their reserved table, but we learned that their planning and caution was well-founded. We discovered the popularity of Bolder to be well-deserved. Seeking lite fare for an early dinner, calorie conscious, we both navigated the tempation-filled menu with success. We thoroughly enjoyed the bison burger and turkey club, the latter being sufficiently sample for a split lunch the next day too. Service was rock-solid and very efficient. We definitely hope to be back soon. And we will make a reservation. Dress code is casual.

It's a little bit off 70, but not bad. First off, this restaurant has an incredibly oversized parking lot. Maybe the restaurant has areas I didn't see, but I was a little bemused. Inside, it's decorated a bit like an old lady house with country accents. It's welcoming and nice, if a little old. I was seated and served quickly. My waitress was great. I ordered French onion soup and a bison burger with sweet potato fries. The French onion soup came out first. It had a huge layer of cheese on top, but it tasted like white cheddar. The soup itself was good at first but started getting bitter. I discovered a huge bay leaf in it. That explains that. Guys, leaving a bay leaf hidden in French onion soup is a violation of Article 35(2) of the Additional Protocol I to the Geneva Conventions. My sweet potato fries were seasoned with a chipotle cinnamon blend. It was weirdly sweet and clashed with the burger. I didn't care for it and honestly feel like if you're going to season with something weird, you should be abundantly clear. The burger was a disappointment. It was fairly basic. It was cooked right, but every so often I would get a burst of salt. I suspect the meat was salted and not well mixed. My burger, fries, and side of soup came to over $40. I am honestly being more critical of them because of that. At that price point, I expect REALLY good, not salt pockets, a left-in bay leaf, and weird seasonings.

Surprisingly pleased with my Walker's experience!…read more I met with a former student. Since I got there a little early, I ordered a small pizza as an appetizer. The waiter didn't quite know what I meant, but did get the request to slice it in smaller rectangles rather than triangle slices. It was light and tasty. However, I'm pretty sure I'd be very hungry if I had ordered it as my meal. That was followed by the beer can chicken cobb salad. It was just the right size! We sat outside. Since Walker's is at the end of the strip, they have outdoor seating on the sidewalk. No fault of the establishment, when the sun went down, it got cold quickly! Now, I'm inclined to try the other Table and Tap restaurant a couple miles west.

Hubby and I met friends here for double date night. We were greeted by a kind hostess who quoted a 30-35 minute wait. They do not accept reservations. We were seated within 15 minutes and greeted by Jackson. This restaurant was spacious, clean, and had a semi woodsy décor. Collectively, we ordered the following. Winter Daiquiri Walter's Old Fashioned Shots (Titos, Crown Royal, Lemon Drop, Green Tea) Sparkling Cosmo Black Manhattan Smoked Wings (Buffalo) Pan Seared Salmon Fish & Chips Cajun Crab Cake Sandwich The beverages did what they were ordered to do. They gave hefty pours and we appreciated it. The Smoked Buffalo Wings were pretty yum. Great portion size. Tasty. Pan Seared Salmon was perfectly prepared to my liking, I substituted the risotto for fries to avoid the dairy. It was pretty good. I would order again. Well plated w zucchini under salmon. The fish and chips were the hit at the table. The breading had an amazing flavor, and the fish was prepared well. The Cajun Crab Sandwich was a hit w my hubby. He devoured his food quickly stating he would get it again. It was well plated, flavorful, and fulfilling. We received 10/10 service by Jackson who was attentive to our requests. There was an issue w a dish at our table that the manager (Kelly) resolved quickly, and left our table mate happy. I highly recommend this establishment for a good, hearty meal.
