Over the past 2 years or so I've been shopping at Talbots more and more. I thought it was going to…read morebe my "go-to" store. Not that anyone is going to retire from my clothing purchases, but Talbots has received more of my recent spending dollars than any other company. With Talbots, I've shopped online, at outlets, brick and mortar stores, and I'm also in their rewards program. On Wednesday 4/17/2024 I visited the Stratham, NH store to see if I could find a new pair of jeans to jump on the wide-leg trend. After several different styles (Talbots, if you're reading this, please work on your size consistency!), I found a pair I thought I was really happy with and purchased them. The jeans went straight to my closet from the car. On Sunday, 4/21/2024 I decided to wear them to a brunch. I had them on as I was getting ready and started to feel that they were just a bit too big (the pant itself is pretty heavy) and after a 15-20 minutes I decided to wear something else I felt more comfortable in. Sadly for me, I had taken the tags off and tossed them because I really thought they were going to be fun. On Tuesday, 4/23/24 (**six** days later), I brought them back to Talbots really just hoping I could exchange them for a smaller size. The sales associate consulted with the store manager who replied with a hard NO. No exchange, no return, no store credit without the tags. Didn't matter that I had just bought them at that very store just six days previously, she just wouldn't have it. I'm not sure if this is an actual Talbots policy, as this is the first time I've had this situation. It's hard to image that a retail store can't create a tag, but maybe that's true for them? Even still, I was pretty taken aback that Talbots had such a severe return policy, especially for repeat customers. And it's not as if the Talbots name isn't clearly attached to every garment! Those jeans went from Talbots, my home, back to Talbots...that's it. If that truly is your return policy Talbots, you really need to have your sales staff drum that into the heads of every person that buys from you. Needless to say, I will no longer be shopping with Talbots and I'm disappointed by that. Also disappointed that I have a $129.00 pair of jeans that I don't feel comfortable in. If you're a size 6 and want a cute pair of jeans let me know, I'll give you a discount!

Hobby lobby charged full price for the fourth item. I called, explained the situation - they said they would honor the original price. My husband took the receipts to the store, they would not give price adjustment w/o the physical item. I had to go again and this time they said they would not honor price because the initial charge for first 3 items was not correct. I find this unacceptable bc: 1. That was their error 2. They should have said that when I called. 3. if they had the item on the floor at the time of orig purchase, I would have paid same price for all 4 items. Not good business. I won't be back to Hobby Lobby anytime soon. Buyer beware

Obviously being one in compliance with mask wearing, MY feelings don't count around these people. The associates are unable to enforce this & we all know why. And so my trip there hoping to shop was futile... I'll try a different location another day.

I was primarily there to shop their cosmetics so that was the aisle that I headed to first. They had a pretty nice assortment of cosmetics at very fair prices. I noticed some very inexpensive little pans of eyeshadow that you could mix and match to create your own palette. The empty palettes were right on the same display as the eyeshadows and were sold separately for just a couple of dollars. I picked out four of the eyeshadows and grabbed a palette as well to store them in. It was fun just to pick out my own colors and customize the palette to my liking. Looking further in the cosmetics aisle I also found some nice lip colors, more eye cosmetics and some awesome nail colors as well. I browsed through their hair care aisle for a moment as well and saw some good quality hairbrushes and hairdryers plus some other various styling products. I didn't have much time to look at their skincare items but I have bought from this chain before and have always had luck with with I've bought. The staff at the front of the store was very nice and didn't rush me out of the store even though they were about to close for the night. The eyeshadows I bought were of pretty decent quality even though they were sold at such a low price. I was kind of surprised at the color payoff and the staying power of the eyeshadows considering how inexpensive they were. I'll definitely hit this place up again the next time I'm visiting the area.

I was soooo impressed when I walked in here. It's been a couple years since I have come in here…read more The store is pretty big with a huge selection of clothes. They also had a good selection of nick nacks, kitchen stuff, furniture & all that other stuff out back. I was very impressed with their prices. I visited another goodwill store back in April down the street & was very disappointing as their prices were very expensive & they hardly had anything in their store. This is the store to go to!!! I went in hoping that they may have had some Pyrex for sale but didn't find any but walked out with a cat litter box, dish drying pad, old fashion travel iron and a plastic dog food container. The pet stuff I actually got for my Mom's dog & cat. I went in with my friend who was looking for some sheets for his camper bed & he walked out with this super cute small desk & chair for his daughter & a dresser for himself. Those were also reasonably priced. There was a little line that moved kinda slow. There were only 2 cashiers working. I believe they have to manually punch in the prices (I can't remember...lol) so that can make things a little slow.....so don't be in a hurry when stopping in here. In the past I've actually dropped off some donations which was very easy. They had bins on the side of the building that you drop your stuff off in or you could walk it inside next to the bins & drop it off in there. Real quick process.

During my recent visit to the Savers location in Plaistow, I approached the service desk, where the…read morecashiers were also stationed, and politely asked if I could be checked out at a regular register rather than using the self-checkout lane. I made this request because I prefer interacting with a cashier for my transactions. I was told this was not possible. At that time, there were four staff members standing in the self-checkout area. None of them appeared to be actively assisting other customers, and despite my request, no one offered to help me. Their refusal to assist came across as dismissive, disrespectful, and unprofessional. The way I was treated felt unnecessarily rude and unhelpful, and it gave the impression that my needs as a customer were not valued. This behavior was not only disappointing but also felt abusive in the sense that I was deliberately ignored when help was clearly available. It seemed as though the staff had no interest in providing service, and their attitude created an uncomfortable and hostile environment. I believe this reflects a serious problem with both staff training and management oversight. If employees are unwilling to assist customers and instead choose to stand idle, it damages the store's reputation and alienates shoppers. Management should take immediate action to address this -- including retraining staff, holding employees accountable for poor conduct, and, if necessary, replacing individuals who are unwilling or unable to perform their jobs professionally. Customers deserve to be treated with respect and courtesy, regardless of their checkout preference. I strongly urge Savers to ensure that all staff members understand their responsibility to assist customers promptly and respectfully, and to take decisive action when employees fail to meet that standard.

As soon we enter to the store, many ladies came to offer help and so politely. When we went to register to pay the cashier that took care was a very nice lady and when we were finishing the process another cashier came on the side to another register and start to be rude to us. I had a very disappointing experience at bath & body works at Manchester in New Hampshire Mall. The cashier was extremely rude to both me and my sister. While we were still gathering our items and trying to complete our purchase, she seemed impatient and tried to push us aside to help another customer. Instead of politely asking us to step aside or giving us a moment to finish, she argued with me and made us feel unwelcome and embarrassed front other customers. Good customer service requires patience and respect, and unfortunately, neither was shown during our visit. I have always enjoyed shopping at Bath & bath works, but this interaction left a very negative impression. I hope management addresses this issue and provides additional customer service training so other customers do not have a similar experience. For sure I will think twice before step to the store again.
