I bought 3 items and had to get a rain check for the 4th one. We do not live locally and bc my husband was going to be in the area, he picked up the fourth one. Hobby lobby charged full price for the fourth item. I called, explained the situation - they said they would honor the original price. My husband took the receipts to the store, they would not give price adjustment w/o the physical item. I had to go again and this time they said they would not honor price because the initial charge for first 3 items was not correct. I find this unacceptable bc: 1. That was their error 2. They should have said that when I called. 3. if they had the item on the floor at the time of orig purchase, I would have paid same price for all 4 items. Not good business. Selection is great and I can always find what I am looking for (plus more!). Pricing is decent, and they always have a nice sales offering. That being said, the customer service today at the Seabrook NH store was terrible. Five people in line at the fabric counter with ONLY ONE sales associate. The poor girl had to USE A CALCULATOR to figure price based on yardage cut. Then she had to HAND WRITE the calculations on a slip of paper. NOTHING was computerized or scanned. When I got to the front registers to check out, there were only two registers open with at least 12 CUSTOMERS in each line. The manager was standing in front of the registers walking back and forth and staring out the front windows into the parking lot. Why did he not open a register and assist??? The register associates were very pleasant and apologized for the long wait. These issues fall on management, not the associates. And as I'm sure you know, Hobby Lobby does NOT scan merchandise bar codes. They press register buttons for each item! It's 2025 - maybe Hobby Lobby should consider using self-checkout like the majority of other retail stores have been using for years?? My total time standing in line at Hobby Lobby today was over 40 minutes .... UGH!!!! read more

Love this store! As a serious crafter and artist I can usually find everything I need and what I don't need too!! I can get everything there to set up my shows as well as the materials I need to create my artwork. I always plan on at least an hour and a half so I can browse. I love how it's set up, and there is always a team member to ask questions. Sure the lines are long but to me it just shows it's popularity. If only there was a store nearer to me in Massachusetts! I have been on the fence regarding this company's beliefs - who they fund etc. But I have to admit that I absolutely LOVE this store! There is so much to choose from and it's all well displayed. Whatever your craft or art project is - or you are interested in, you will find all the materials here. There are also decorative items for sale that would make wonderful gifts. The store is HUGE! Each week they have a flyer where items go on (or off )sale. They offer a 40% off coupon weekly on 1 non-sale items. I have noticed that the lovely decorative items they carry tend to be pricey even with the 40% off coupon. So if you can wait, maybe it's best to hold on for a weekly 50% off sale to roll around and save even more. That's what I do anyway. There's also a clearance section -and you never know what you will find. Today I picked up an imperfect glass terrarium - marked @ $2.24! They had the same one ( perfect) in the front of the store for $24.00 and that was with 50% off. Even though one I got is not 100% perfect, I got a fantastic deal!!! I went in to return merchandise that was now advertised as 40% off. Peggy was the cashier. She was rude and displeased that I wanted to return and buy back the merchandise that was now 40% off. She was groaning and basically pushing the items back at me and told me to bag it. I feel like if employees don't like their job then they should not be working there or working with the public! read more

I received a 40% off coupon ---so I cheerfully went to Hobby Lobby and picked up some items----brought them to the cashier and she told me ---"oh you can't use this coupon as you cannot use them on sale items"... Hmmm so I turned to the lady next in line and said..."You want this coupon?" and she jokingly smiled and said..... "that coupon is a ploy to get you in the store---mostly ALL the items are on sale"... so the coupon was bogus.... LOL LOL LOL ..... a GREAT Marketing device..... you give a coupon for 40% off and then you can't use it cause mostly ALL the items are on sale.... LOL LOL was a funny experience..... but I was satisfied with the products and prices... BUT would of been better if I had the 40% off.... read more

I bought an American flag left it in my car overnight went out to get it to hang it the next day and the whole flag had faded away to nothing like a tie dye T-shirt you couldn't even see that it was a flag anymore I called the store to return it they said they take a look it should be no problem but they wouldn't take it back because it was damaged this is the reason I wanted to return it bad store manager And bad store representatives they were actually on my side but didn't want to cross the manager be careful what you buy apparently they sell junk read more

I shop at Hobby Lobby in Seabrook, NH mostly in summer because we live nearby in summer. End of summer, I purchased some glass decorative knobs and when I got home one was broken. I put it back in the bag with the receipt, put it in my glove compartment, forgot about it. Today i was in the area, i stopped in to shop and I tried to return the broken knob for credit toward my purchase. I showed my receipt to the cashier and she had to call the manager because it was over 90 days. I thought that was reasonable. The Manager came up and after cashier quietly filled her in, she, the manager, turned to me and said, You bought it broken. I said, apparently, because when i got home and opened the bag it was broken. Im only asking for credit toward my purchase which you give without a receipt. Her response was, Sorry we don't take back damaged goods. I said , but I bought it that way. She said, You did't see it was broken before you bought it? I said, If i had, I wouIdn't have purchased it. Im only asking for credit toward my purchase, which you give without a receipt. She repeated, Our policy is, We don't take back damaged goods. I said, Let me see if i understand you correctly, You sell damaged goods at regular prices unbeknownst to patrons, but you won't accept the return of such items. She repeated, That is our policy. Then she added, We dont carry them anymore. I said, You certainly do and I proceeded to the aisle where they were. I went back to her, held it up and said, FYI. She completely ignored me. On my way out, I heard someone who was behind me in line say, Now isn't that the Christian way! BTW..Did i mention the knob was under $5.00. In summary, according to the manager on duty today at the Seabrook, NH location.... Hobby Lobby Return Policy: No returns on items which are broken/damaged when purchased. It is the patron's responsibility to examine our products before purchasing. Hobby Lobby is not responsible for items we sell which are broken or damaged. Perhaps that explains why the back of their receipt says, We reserve the right to limit or refuse to accept the return of certain products and non-receipted items.
