They lied, repeatedly, when they told me the retail cost. This company bases their buy prices off of lowest retail price. Being in a financial bind, I accepted the offer even though I had doubts. They quoted a much lower price than what I expected. When I did check the price, I realized they made a mistake (perhaps) and went back into the store to discuss the issue. Upon entering the store, I explained it might be a mistake and was told there was nothing to be done. One of the girls kept insisting the price was for $170 for the swing. That price is for a refurbished swing. There is a lower price point swing by the same manufacturer that sells for $160. Refurbished swings that are the same model as mine sell for $170 while brand new swings sell for $220. They offered to return the swing back to me but I refused as I'm in a financial bind at the moment. They didn't care enough to do proper diligence when purchasing my items. That means they won't treat you right either. When I called them out on it, they went above and beyond to embarrass me and make it seem like I was in the wrong. It was humiliating. At one point, one of the clerks said there was staining on the web belt (it's not gross just minor) and stated she wouldn't sell it for more than $80. They even went as far as to show pricing (for a refurbished swing) at $170. I tried to point out that it was refurbished but the girl wouldn't even go to the online store page so I could show her. So not only did they take advantage of me, they tried to save face in front of their customers by making me look like I was a deranged woman. Do not sell your baby gear here. It was a terrible experience.

Also, the opening of BJ's, Dick's House of Sports, and Dave and Buster's brought life back into the mall. With that help, the mall is still filled with some empty spaces. GFS, I'm told by my sister who works at a Gap, doesn't have as high of quality merchandise as a traditional Gap, but it is a few steps above Old Navy. When I went, there was a Sale/Clearance on everything, so the prices weren't terrible, but the regular prices didn't seem so far off from Gap prices. I didn't score them 4 or 5 Stars because of the lack of selection and I tried on 2 pairs of jeans that were supposedly the same style, just different washes and they definitely fit differently. So when we…read morewere back in town recently on a road trip, and my husband said he wanted to stop at the video game store, I said please drop me at the Thrifty Shopper on your way. :-D This isn't a huge thrift store, but not tiny either, with plenty of plaza lot parking. The clothing is all pretty well organized by size. I appreciate that Thrifty Shopper does two Color-of-the-Day tags, one for 50% off an one for 75% off. I did find several garments tagged in those favorable colors, and used the pretty clean and handy changing rooms to try things on. Unfortunately nothing clothing-wise went home with me, but I did find a couple glassware items and a few books that I purchased. The books section is a small room in the back of the store, but if you dig around we found a few nice titles of interest to us and for our kids. The housewares area was pretty limited, I remember there being more selection. I still use our king-sized full bedroom set that I purchased from here years ago (it's a vintage NBA set!), and recall there being more of a linen variety too. But there was still plenty to poke around for the hour in this thrifting paradise while my husband was in his video game store paradise, haha. The first time they told me to call back in a half an hour which I did they said it was open. I showed up five minutes later. They then said to come back and call within an hour because they were closed again. If you're looking to sell at a Plato's closet, I would recommend going elsewhere as this location will consistently waste your time or better yet, donate your stuff at a nonprofit as at least you will be greeted with somebody who knows what they are doing.
