My wife had pucture of her dad in his firefighters dress uniform and his badge from years ago. He sadly passed away in 1981. She had been holding onto these moments since then, and asked that I take and have them framed by Darrell at THE A FRAME SHOPPE. I had no idea what I she wanted or how to do it. Darrell suggested a shadow box with blue matting and an antique finished frame. I have to say. I was completely not competent enough to make a sound decision. I spent a good 135.00 on a small 11x14 frame at A/C Moore. The frame was thrown together and arrived with a small abrasion on one of the corners. You won't get that kind of service at A Frame Shoppe; expect excellence here because that is what you will most certainly receive. I have lived in 3 cities In the N East in 4 years and I have never been treated better by a business. A Frame has to be one of the best frame shops in the US. They have frame samples that others don't have AND the owner is so trusting he lets you take them home to try them out. Great prices, they take all credit cards and I love the cats. The best frame shop in the Binghamton area and possibly in the US. Don't waste your time and $$$ on the chains. You pay more and it falls apart. This is the BEST frame shop I have ever been to. I went to one of those chain stores with a 70% coupon and had the work done. The frame fell apart and they would not give me my money back. I went to A Frame Shop in Binghamton and they told me I payed at least $75 over their cost (without any silly coupon!!!) and framed it much better to the point it brought tears to my wife's eyes. Everything about my experience at A Frame was outstanding. It's so sad that people fall in to the trap of those chain stores. I learned my lesson. read more
