That said she will not lead you astray and if something doesn't look good on you, she will kindly let you know. Everyone who works here is excellent, though, so don't worry! They often have sales, and have high quality clothing for all kinds of people, it is my preferred vintage spot in the area. I'll also note I'm a masculine woman and wear exclusively menswear and no one has ever made me feel odd about it here, which is not as common as one would think in this day and age.

Well someone brought the collar into the store and La'Rue called me using the barely legible tag on the collar. This is the kind of action that gives me faith that there is still some hope for the human race. As for the store: He has a wide variety of used items, including a nice selection of flannel shirts, but I'm a T-Shirt guy and bought three pretty cool T's. He has an enormous inventory yet to be displayed so I'll be going back in a few weeks to check out all the latest additions. He also carries women's and children's clothing as well. Four or five staff/vendors were happily talking with each other, but no one engaged us at all, so we wandered around. Nice mix of furniture, housewares, China/dish sets, some jewelry, some cases, toys and some crafty-country themed items. I bought a deep Pyrex pie dish for $3 and a small tin container for $4. We would definitely stop back when in the area.

I walked in and there were two racks of long gowns. I didn't want a formal gown, so I just went to the regular dresses. The woman came over and asked what I was looking for. I told her and she immediately pulled out this beautiful silver ankle long dress that fit me perfectly. I go to the Weiss market across the street and now that I know about this place, will stop in when I do.

I brought in a brand new wedding gown with tags still on it in a secure garment bag. Before I could even finish telling her what I brought in, I was told they don't consign wedding dresses anymore. Again, there was no fault in the conversation but it wasn't a place I would really go into again for certain. The reviews are accurate in the items there-I have seen the same at other thrift stores around; nothing stood out in the experience. I have only a problem in that this website does not specify not accepting wedding dresses. This dress is brand new; 3 months special order from David's in a plus size and gorgeous. Perfect condition; I wanted only for someone in my area to benefit from it for a low cost without it running the risk of being handled in a thrift store. I am not certain how it could have been a deficit to the store as the dress is full lace and vintage looking as it gets. However, I couldn't even show it to her before cut off definitively. I agree with the last review when placing consignment up there in everything stated. It seems to be problems only with people coming to consign and it might very well be my appearance as well that made her more reserved although this is only an impression I got and by no means an absolute.

I've had good experiences at this Thrifty Shopper store in Endwell, in the past…read more I've also donated a fair amount of items to their store, in hopes someone can use the items and not pay a high price. However, a recent experience is frustrating and dampens my review. I bought a used DVD from the store for $3.23. I brought home the DVD and tried playing it and all I would get was a "disc error" on my DVD player. No matter what I did, it simply would Not load the video. I took a closer look, with a magnifying glass and discovered tiny little "holes" poked in the surface of the DVD media disc. This is the reason why I kept getting a "disc error"! So I went to the store and spoke to a lady at the counter. I told her what the problem was, took out the disc from the container and let her look at it. She confirmed what I saw on the disc..tiny holes scattered all over the disc. Then I asked for a refund because that particular Title was not duplicated in the large "shelves" of used DVDs. She asked another lady if I could be refunded my $3.23. That lady said no and said "We don't give refunds, just exchanges". I said that it can't be exchanged because there isn't another copy of that Title on the shelves. I know because I spent 40 minutes looking for the one that I did find. Anyway, she wouldn't give me a refund. I told her that the DVD was no good and the store should throw it in the garbage, and NOT PUT IT BACK ON THE Shelves where I got it from in the first place! My point is, how do any of the customers that buy used DVDs in that store know whether ANY of the DVDs on those shelves are no good and have simply been put back on the shelve after someone like me has returned it?? I understand the refund policy, BUT now I Don't Trust Thrifty Shopper anymore! I will not go in there anymore and I will not donate anything to them any longer. I'm done with Thrifty Shopper! Let the Buyer Beware (caveat emptor).
