I carried it around the store with me as I browsed through the other jewelry. I found an alternate pin to purchase so I returned the first pin where I found it. When I was ready to complete my purchase, the woman working there, named Jenny, asked me where the pink box was and asked me to show her where I placed it. I returned it to the exact place that I found it and showed her this. When completing my purchase, I asked Jenny if her reason behind asking me where I placed the pin was to make sure I didn't steal it. To my surprise, the answer was yes. I have never been more insulted, mortified, and embarrassed. This experience was an abomination. A great way to lose business is to accuse your customers of stealing. Word of mouth is better than any marketing plan. I will let everyone know of my experience in this store. I highly recommend potential customers take their business elsewhere. If you prefer to risk it, do not carry around the item you want to purchase until you are ready to cash out. Also, make sure you are dressed up. I believe that will help in not being accused of stealing. The treatment that I received today was both appalling and just unacceptable.
