I have purchased items at the Vestal, NY store in the past and online. I went to the store recently, and was shocked that the Vestal store engages in deceptive and/or fraudulent pricing practices. First, they do not have prices on their items. Second, they will place a small sign with a price above a shelf or near an item. Since there is only a single price posted, and none of the items have a price tag, a customer assumes the "sign price" is the price. Third, when you go to check out, the cashier will scan the items quickly, and if you do not check closely, you will not notice the prices are higher than the posted signs. Fourth, if you tell the cashier that the prices are higher than the posted signs, the cashier becomes annoyed and resistant. Fifth, if you insist on a price check: a call is made to check the "signs," which takes time until the cashier receives "info." Afterwards, an adjustment might be made to a scanned price if the price in the system was inaccurate and/or the cashier will not make adjustments, because the price on the sign does not apply to the items charged. Sixth, if you become annoyed, because 1) items do not have prices, 2) the sign prices posted apply only to some items , and 3) there are no other sign prices posted for other items, 4) they believe it is okay to charge customers the higher prices on their system, even if the item "matches" the sign price, because they do not update their system or they can charge higher prices for items with no price tags and no posted prices, as long as they claim they are not part of the posted price on the signs; although you do not know if this is true or if the price is even correct - you are harassed if you question or complain. A customer is degraded and humiliated when inquiring, and the "manager" may be called to tag team with the cashier, and make clear that Kohls does not have to have prices on items, they can post price signs that may or may not apply to your items, they do not have to post the prices of other items not part of the sign, if the price sign "matches" your item, they can still charge more, because prices are "not always adjusted in their system," if they say that the price signs do not match the items you selected, you have no choice but to believe it, and then they will tell you what the price is from their inaccurate non-updated system, and if you choose to question the prices charged and/or complain about it, prepare for your day to be ruined. Would never had expected this from a large chain store. read more

I had to return a gift today, which was 1 out of 6 items I had bought. I had used kohl's cash ($10). My total bill was $112.41. The toy I returned was $35.99 and they returned $10 less than what I paid for this item. I asked them to let me buy another item in clothing, and the woman said no. I can only buy a toy. This is criminal. It's stealing people's money. I am making this known to many people. Some of us seniors have a fixed income, and every penny counts. Now I have to wait until next month to shop for my grandson. I have been a kohl's customer for years, and it ends today. read more

Was shopping at kohl's 9/21/16, had bad unfriendly experience checking out with Raychel. Very unfriendly, rude, and hating her job. She was not going to wrap a breakable glass item in paper to protect it until I asked that it be done. Never asked if I had rewards to use. Absolutely zero personality, she acted as if she were doing the two of us a favor to cash us out. My friend is going to write a review as well. I am a loyal kohl shopper, and my friend has said she will not return to kohls. There are many other stores that appreciate our business. She is in the wrong business with a grumpty attitude. A lot of associates working in the store today, yet I could find no one to answer my questions. I stood, waiting for help, as two floor workers were too busy gossiping about another employee to help me or the other lady also waiting for guidance. I could overlook this as this is a very busy, stressful season for retail employees, but, my cashier, Janet, made me want to post this review. She was absolutely the most unfriendly, sour, put upon person I've encountered in the service industry. I spent over $600 in there today, I could have used a little friendliness and positive energy. a friend of mine thinks that Kohl's is THE place for pants. i think their pants are lame, they have those tacky pre faded and pre ripped jeans that just look goofy, and they sell shirts with the sleeves already half way rolled up. dork central. for a while this was my go-to place for boxer shorts though, but then they stopped selling the style i like so now i get my underwear from penneys. most of the stuff here is over priced too, but sometimes they have good deals, i got my dad a cool Mets painting here before for father's day at a good price. and while their yankees stuff outnumbers their Mets stuff, they do stock Mets shirts at a decent price. earlier i went to TJ Maxx, Wal-mart, Dick's, and Target, and 3 of those places had no Mets shirts, and one of them had really expensive Mets shirts. Kohl's is now my go-to place for Mets shirts. Let's Go Mets!! read more
