Not to be confused with The Children's Plaice, which is a high quality fish dinner that is only sold to kids, or to parents of kids wanting to fish the f*** out of their kids' diets. This store, which is a major national chain, is very expensive, and we usually don't find anything here that Barbie wants for her niece whenever we're browsing through this massive Shopping Center. And it has to be said. The prices here are a little bit off the charts to be honest, and we're always surprised by how much it is. However, it's definitely good as a destination for finding all kinds of stuff, but definitely not our favourite business in the plaza. I decided to come to this store with my mother to look for clothes for my brother's newborn baby and was disappointed with the selection. In addition, there were two workers inside who did not acknowledge our presence. They were gossiping loudly about personal issues which I found extremely unprofessional. The store was a mess and they did not tend to what needed to be done in order to put the clothing in proper order. read more

After running around town returning/exchanging baby items from my baby shower, The Children's Place was one of my stops. This is a great location, as it's located right off I-10 freeway in the fairly new populated Taylor Street shopping center. Staff was fast and friendly, and helped me exchange my baby items with ease. Great sales too! I'll be back for sure. read more

Yay! It's open!! Really, the most exciting thing here is that this store is now in the neighborhood and so I don't have to go in the mall or pay $5 for flat shipping. So it's right here! Children's Place is awesome because it has super cute clothes that are usually dirt cheap. They had $2.99 boys tees today - whoo hoo. I got my son five pairs of sunglasses for ten dollars the last time, so I have plenty to spare and lose. I think Children's Place tends to have better deals that Target (easily) and cuter clothes, including brands and characters like Angry Birds, etc. read more

I walked and browsed for at least 10 minutes and was not offered any help. There were multiple employees on the floor and no one acknowledged me, no greeting or anything. I left without purchasing anything because of the poor customer service. Good thing Target's across the parking lot! read more

This is in regard to the online store. Beware that if you hit "place order" it's yours and there is no calling and asking to correct any issue like you can on Amazon. I bought a gift for a friend in California a month ago, went in and placed an order for school uniforms for my son and submitted the order. My confirmation stated it was being shipped to the last address I sent an order to (California) and didn't go to a default address which is my address. That's how it works on other online stores but at any rate, I call and ask if they can change the ship-to address since I had only placed the order less than an hour ago. Nope, they can't do it. The order is still in their warehouse, but nope. Sorry. So I ask if they can cancel it and resubmit it with the points and discount I used. Nope, can't do that, they don't cancel or revise orders that have already been placed. Really? She puts me on hold and comes back with, "well this one time I'll cancel it if you really want it canceled." Um, it's going to California so yeah, cancel it. I asked if I could get the points restored and the promotional coupon so I can resubmit the order. Nope, they were used on that order. Sorry. WOW! REALLY??? I earned those points for being a loyal customer and received a promotional email as well to add on top of that and all was lost. They can't do a d**n thing but say no. I would have to purchase everything at the original price. They wonder why they lose business to other online stores such as Amazon. They lost a customer and I bought clothes as gifts for many people as well as my son who will have outgrown their sizes in about 3 months. They don't know the meaning of customer service. read more

To the people reading these reviews. They DO answer their phones from open till close! There is always a Spanish speaking associate when I have entered the store. Half the staff their speaks Spanish. They all wear their name tags, from what I have seen. Their appearance is kid friendly and have you people been to rock concerts??? They dress NOTHING like that. Go to a rock concert and then say that. This is a well organized store and the associates are very friendly. Easy to shop and the customer service is outstanding!!! read more

First & Foremost, I cant believe that this corporation would ever let someone run the store in this such manner. I have been to this store twice, first time she opened 10 minutes late & had customers waiting outside. Today I arrive to pick up a order, and the doors were locked. This black lady that's working here is very rude, and it seems she doesn't want to work. I told te other worker behind the glass (since door was lock) it's not 8 o'clock yet, and she looked at the black lady & just shrugged her shoulders. I barely walked around for about 10 minutes Til my whole visit was ruined by an employee which was an African American girl with long braids . This store location needs improvement starting with the store staff. They don't answer the telephone from 11 am - 5 pm. The phone just rings and rings. That is terrible customer service. This issue needs to be addressed by the Corporate Office. Customers have to show up in person to receive customer service because you will not receive it over the phone. Sometimes you are looking for a certain item and don't want to waste gas or time that is the reason you call the store. Staff Dress code is shocking to look at not casual at all. Their appearance is not kid friendly whatsoever. They dress like Madonna in the 80s. Greetings are given as soon as you walk in. The clothes are cute and reasonable to purchase for the kiddos. Great clearance rack to shop from for girls and boys. The exchanging process is simple and they don't ask you many questions. The time my mom and I was there I concluded the staff did not know what they were doing. I looked at the racks and the clothing that popped was not on display instead on the racks. Colors that popped need to be displayed out on the floor. Use your imagination for displaying what is hot and stylish for the kiddos. They need more training especially with focusing with the customers. I seen it happen to several ladies that applied at this location. They filled out the applications and went on the scheduled interview. They were told after the interview we call you back and of course we know that means you are not getting the position. Quit misleading those ladies and be upfront with them!! Need to learn to be direct with them and honest with them. Good luck with applying for a job there. Your time will be wasted and you will experience the run around from checking about your application to hearing the answer if you the job is yours. :( Excuse after excuse will be told to you about the job position(s). You have to be flexible to work daily and have retail experience otherwise you will not get hired. :( How will you ever learn to gain experience. Give the ladies a chance to show their skills and hard work instead of judging them from the outside. Your company will miss out on hard workers because of stupidity. Sometimes you have to go outside the box unless you will never succeed in life. To the ladies that did not get hired keep you head up high and believe in yourself, you will succeed. This store is tidy and organized. The store staff is friendly and they do greet you as soon as you walk in the door. I witnessed for myself firsthand the phone ringing several times and noone answered the phone while I was there shopping. It is true don't call before 5 pm. The check out process is speedy fast when they are not busy. During the holidays it is a nightmare. Store Dress Code needs to be changed for the store staff. They look like they are going to a Rock Concert. They wear bright printed horrible patterned clothing. I can relate to Honor's Review and agree with her review. The clothes are cute and reasonable to purchase for the kids and give as gifts. This location does have a great selection especially for girls. I love the option of buying Gift Cards when I am not able to find a cute outfit to give as a gift. The return policy is hassle free. FOR FUTURE APPLICANTS BEWARE AND READ THE FOLLOWING!! I have a friend that works at Children's Place located in Memorial City Mall and she told me you will get the around from submitting your application to the scheduled interview for any position with Children's Place Inc. The sad part is the Manager on Duty tells the Sales Associates that are working the day you call to check on your application or the status of the outcome answer of the position you applied for to say she is unavailable or she is busy or in a conference. That is NOT true whatsoever. You will hear excuse after excuse. :( It is true if you are not available to work 7 days a week you will not get hired and especially if you don't have retail experience. You do have to have Retail Experience to work with this company. Don't expect the Hiring Manager to call you because she is not. Sorry it is true you are wasting your time and breathe. That is extremely sad because there are hard working ladies that need a job and they deserve a chance to show their hard working skills. If an opportunity is NOT given to the individual how do you expect them to demonstrate their learned skills and work experience to Children's Place Inc ? I am here waiting in line with about 6 other cusyomers while she folds clothes rather than help the other cashier by opening another register.
