recently had a disappointing experience returning an online purchase at Janie and Jack. I bought four items for my grandson. One jacket was too big when I tried it on him, so I removed the tag but kept it with me, along with the receipt. Since these are winter clothes and the size was clearly too large, I wouldn't be able to use them anytime soon. When I went to return the items, the sales associate, Shaneen, told me the jacket could not be returned because the tag had been removed, even though I had the tag and the receipt with me. The interaction felt rude and unhelpful. She eventually said she would process the return "this time," as if she were doing me a favor, and even mentioned that I could speak to her manager, Kristen. She also did not review my receipt and refunded me based on the current sale price instead of the price I originally paid, which meant I received less money back. , I've been a longtime customer and have purchased many items from Janie and Jack. Unfortunately, this experience was very disappointing. Since they moved the location and Go Global took over the brand, the level of customer service seems to have declined significantly. read more

I had to pop in for a last minute gift. Glad I didn't pay attention to this low Yelp rating. The store was well-stocked and organized, and the sales associates were very friendly and helpful. I usually shop at the location near my home in The Woodlands, and am glad I found this Highland Village location near my in-town apartment. I'll definitely be back. read more

Love their outfits for my baby. I needed something unique for my son and I found exactly what I wanted here. The ladies at the front were really helpful, I needed a shoe in a certain size and they helped me find them. I don't go here often due to the pricing and my son is growing so fast and outgrowing everything ... but i do go here for when I need a special occasion outfit for him. read more

This is a pricey children's clothing store, and that being said I would expect that their sales staff would be a tad more courteous. The sales staff was on their phones the whole time as I shopped. When I got to the register, they kept talking to one another about their quotas and how good their sales numbers were for the day. They seemed extremely annoyed about being there, and the person who rung me up walked off after she bagged my items to answer her cell! She didn't even hand me my receipt! Also if I'm spending this much money on clothing that a baby is going to outgrow in a day, the least you can do is not cram them into the tiniest bag there is. When I'm saying crammed, I mean the bag ripped. Just goes to show money can't buy class. Their stuff is cute, but not that cute. read more

Sales staff was very rude to my wife when she asked for a discount on some boots that had been scuffed since they were to display model. 10 out of 10 will not be spending my hard earned money here ever again thanks to the two ladies behind the counter. read more

It's no secret that I LOVE this store. They have very cute and stylish clothes that hold up well. I personally have experienced great customer service there. They always have a large sale section so no need to pay full price for their cute clothes. read more

They have good quality clothing but limited selection. The clothes also run big. Since the store is in Highland Village - parking is horrible. I was returning an online purchase and the store clerk was ok. She wasn't that friendly and told me that I had to have the original receipt. Agree with all the previous reviews. THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! If I can put a zero star, this is what this location deserves! In all my 3 years of shopping at any JJ since the birth of my twins with that being locations spanning across Orange County CA and now recently Houston TX, I have never came across such a rude person as Sonja Brown and such an unwelcoming store as this one in The Highland Village. I believe I have been misjudged. Admit I only came in for an online purchase return, but I have always made countless purchases. Just not with this visit. I made an inquiry whether my cc would be required for the return and was initially told "NO." Acceptable. Nearing the end of the transaction, it prompted me to insert my cc for the completion. I politely remarked "oh you mentioned I did not need my cc." Her response was with an immediate attitude yes I can discern attitude and "Well now it's asking for your cc...." Very straightforwardly rude! A polite response would be "Mam, I am not sure but it is requiring your cc insertion" I would have been content. Not to mention she made eye contact with her colleague at the next register and "both" gave a smile and smirk to each other. I will NEVER return to this location!!! These sales agents need to understand that customer service is paramount to a welcoming/ comfortable shopping experience. It makes people want to stay and look around, shop, and importantly RETURN! read more

My wife shopped here fairly often - its not an inexpensive place to buy clothes. The clothes are good (over priced - but good), however, the service is awful. The clerk was rude, used profanity and the manger did absolutely nothing. It was then very difficult to get someone at customer service - emails and calls were answered with folks in the Philippines who were unable to read emails and had canned responses. Finally spoke to the district manager - after a couple of weeks who said she would address this with more training. The clerk should have been fired!!!! Profanity in front of children was condoned. We have decided to tell all our friends about the experience, to shop elsewhere and plaster our experience with them on the net. Look at the other reviews - none are favorable. read more

This location has TERRIBLE customer service. My husband and I walked in after dinner one day, to choose an outfit for our baby that's on the way, as a memento. We had just found out the gender. When i walked in, the sales lady asked "are you shopping for anything in particular" and i said "no, just looking"... she proceeded to scoff at me and laughed! As if we were stupid for "looking." I'm not being sensitive, my insensitive husband noticed this too. Maybe if my belly was bigger she wouldn't have been so rude? Needless to say, i went in prepared to buy an outfit, but LEFT shortly thereafter because the lady that worked there was so freaking RUDE. Won't be taking my business there anymore. read more

I've been shopping at this location for almost 8 yrs now, I drive from the opposite side of town just for the Amazing Customer Service and Care that is given to their clients at this location. I still come in so that I can order online from the store, Kristen, Sona are so incredibly helpful and very knowledgeable about the clothes as well as how the sizing is running in the current lines. I wish I could continue to shop here for my daughters clothes forever they are the best !! I've shopped at Janie & Jacks all over the US and this store by far is kept the cleanest, most organized as well as the friendliest, curtious to all who enter and by far the most extremely helpful of them all. I have witnessed some very rude customers enter the store and i have personally wanted to tell them to leave the employees alone with such abusive and aggressive way they have spoken to them, yet through it all they remain calm, curtious and retain their composure while continuing to be helpful to all. read more

This is my favorite Janie and Jack store. The staff is amazing and friendly. I enjoy going shopping with my daughter at this store. She knows the staff by name.
