My son needed an outfit for a last minute dinner. The store was packed on Black Friday, but we were able to find what we needed, try it on, and check out, all in less than 15 minutes. We had the nicest sales associate, whose name I wish I could remember, who was beyond helpful. The only downside is that parking can be a real pain. I saw the shopping center offers valet parking, so that may be worth a try. read more

They're helpful but not pushy. Ask for help and you'll get loads of it. I had ZERO hope of finding my son a suit that fit without loads of tailoring but they nailed it on the first try. Ordered sweater on website but the payment came up "error". Tried again and same thing. Next day ordered again and it went through and completed sale. Saw my first one was charged and when I called to cancel they have a 1 hr cancellation policy so had to wait for delivery, wait at post office to return. read more

The staff here is so friendly and helpful. I was greeted by no less than 5 salespersons and assisted in the dressing room by two. While in line to pay, a kind young man came to get me in order to expidite a quicker check out in the less busy men's section. Great shopping experience. read more

Sort of new customer to this particular location and staff was totally helpful and without pretension. Retail needs all the positive attitude they can muster up these days. I'd ordered something online and came here to pick up in person. It was quite an easy process. One item was placed incorrectly but I was able to get the right item while in the store since they had it. The men's section SUCKS. Not one person offered to help me. One person literally sat on the couch gossiping with another associate while I walked around and ignored me. Parking on a Sunday was a hit or miss but I was fortunate to find parking in front of the store. (At least it's free compared to City Centre new pay-to-play-parking meters.) I was a man on a mission: find gear for a business trip. Connor was kind enough to help me find a pant size that was not on the sales floor. He gave me just enough room to look around without being intrusive and he had impeccable manners. (J Crew, he is a keeper.) The interior design for both men and women sections is modern yet traditional; the post modern movement of ambiguous gender identity has not yet infiltrated the store. However, I did not appreciate the dim lighting in the dressing room. I found it difficult to see how the colour of my clothes would complement my sun soaked skin from Montauk. Were they trying to simulate a dark abyss of the modern man looking upon himself as a failed creature, suffocating from matriarchy? All in all, one walked out pleased with one's purchases although the articles could have been bought at half the price at Wal-Mart. But with President Trump's tax cuts, one cannot complain. read more

I'm so glad I don't have to make that commute to the Galleria just to visit J.Crew. Although this one is conveniently located in a strip, the parking is horrendous. There is the option to valet at Escalante's, but I choose to get here a few minutes before their doors open. I receive more attention and better customer service here than I do at the Galleria. I think they are short staffed on some days though. In the mornings you will only see two sales associates on the floor and at least ten customers running around tearing the store apart. The presentation of the store is very clean and I like how the men's shop is separated from the women's shop. read more

This is a beautiful J. Crew store and it is located in a more recently updated part of Highland Village (on the south side of Westheimer, just east of the train tracks next to where Tootsies used to be). Parking can be difficult in the adjacent lots, so I would suggest coming earlier in the day right when the stores open, or later in the evening after rush hour traffic. Valet parking is "free" and you need only tip, but wait times can be long when the attendants return your car. There is usually plenty of space in the free parking garage across the street (next to P.F. Changs), but that will require you to cross Westheimer on foot, which can be tricky (and dangerous!) when there are no police working to assist with the flow of traffic. The store itself is small but they do manage to pack a nice selection of clothing, shoes and accessories into the space, and the racks are kept neat and tidy. While others complained that the service here isn't up to the standards of the Galleria location, I personally prefer the hands-off approach of the salespeople here. When I need help, I'll ask for it. In the meantime, you can greet me upon entering but you don't need to follow me around and ask me every 2 minutes if I need help with anything. They are not pushy here, and I appreciate that. For those who have never shopped at J. Crew before, the prices are higher than average, but the quality is better, too. J. Crew does basics very well, and spending a bit more on these items will last you years longer than, say, the cheaper version sold at Target, assuming you take proper care of the garment. (Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Target and shop there almost weekly, but they don't sell "forever" items.) J. Crew always has seasonal fashion-forward options without being overly trendy, and their pieces make a statement. They sell fun travel accessories, too, and small gifts (cute socks, scarves, key chains, etc.) that would please even the most discerning individuals. I am unable to shop here as much as I would like, but they have frequent sales (especially online) that allow me to purchase coveted J. Crew items at a severe discount. When I think about it, I don't think I've ever paid full price for anything at J. Crew. at this location, on their website, or otherwise... Don't forget to present your student ID (nobody says it has to be current) at checkout to receive an additional 10 percent off! read more

I would give this store no stars if I could. I have never met such rude people in my life. I'm not sure if it's because they don't think I fit the J Crew image but absolutely no one greeted or offered to help me. I asked if a particular scarf was available and they told me they were sold out, but right when I left the store, I spotted the scarf on the bottom corner of a shelf. When I proceeded to check out, they told me student discount was not accepted which makes no sense because I never had a problem with that at the galleria store. Long story short- do not shop here- there's no selection, the staff does not know their products well, RUDE customer service, no student discount. read more

Like any other J.Crew location when it comes ambiance. The selection is not as expansive as the Galleria store and when you have to deal with the headache of Highland Village traffic and parking, it's not worth a visit. Stick to the Galleria location! read more

Worst customer service ever. Was standing in line with one counter helping a lady. This Asian girl came up to me and asked "How can I help you?" with a rbf. When she knew I was here for a return she said "the girl at the counter will help you shortly" with her gesture almost walking towards another cashier counter I guess she was gonna help me if I was there to make a purchase. Erm, might as well not ask me at all if I needed your help? Return was fast, but can't understand the snobbish vibe. This was my first time entering the store, will never return again. read more

Good luck getting help in the men's section...I buy a lot of J Crew, but this was my first time at this location...saw a number of shirts I liked and was trying to figure out sizing but was ignored. When we finally cornered one of the staff so he had to acknowledge our presence (both guys had walked by us without making eye contact multiple times) I was curtly given access to a dressing room. Meanwhile, my wife went to inquire about a pair of pants I liked...I never heard a word again from either sales associate while she had to ambush one at the register to get her questions answered. I will make the trek out to the City Center location from now on. read more

So a J. Crew storefront has opened in the Highland Village. This is the 3rd storefront in Houston with the other stores located in the Galleria and CityCentre. J. Crew is what I would consider on the high end of affordable but the quality of the clothing is solid such as their shirts, suits, chinos and shorts. I wouldn't recommend buying their clothes at full retail and to take advantage of the various sales that they will have. I went here on a Sunday morning to take advantage of such as sale only to find myself and others slightly confused by the locked doors. There were no store hours posted outside the door and there were several people meandering around highland village until 12 when it opened. I liked the design of the store as it has a dedicated area for men and women clothing with their own entrances. The more casual clothing is placed in front of the store with the more formal clothes in the back. The clerks were helpful as they placed what I wanted to buy at the counter as I continued to shop and checked me out within a respectable time. read more
