I went in the store 10 minutes ago and noticed no one spoke to me or to me in the store. When I walked past a customer service agent hanging up clothes he said nothing. A group of people of a different race came in right behind me and he spoke to them in front of me. I was holding a black jacket which I was planning to buy, after being blatantly ignored I returned it to the rack and walked out the store. I expect better customer service, especially when a store is barely hanging on. You would think they'd want to be welcoming to all customers. I'll go to a different location from now on. read more

I came here yesterday on a very hot, sunny afternoon needing to get a quality dress shirt at a more reasonable price in this area compared to higher price places like Jos A Bank. The lady that helped me and the guy that rung me up were both very helpful, welcoming and attentive. Great service on this stop. read more

Agree with the other reviewers, either the staff is clueless or unethical. Paid full price for a dress that was 50% off online. Thank fully I realized and went back to the store to get them to honor the sale, which they did. That being said, very questionable sale practices. Look for prices online and use this store to pick up if you must buy from BR. read more

Really sad state that this store was in today. Most of the staff was not masked which I understand isn't required. I can deal with that. However the dressing room was an awful dusty mess. It looked like I hadn't been checked or vaccuumed in forever. I had to figure out how not to step on the floor with socks while trying on pants. It was quite a feat. Incompetent manager. They need a shift. Switch the sales associate and manager around. Overcharged me $80 for basics!! Associate tried to confirm with manager that the items I purchased were still on sale (which they were) but he said they weren't. Paid full price. Left to look it up and EVERYTHING was on sale as the sales associate said. Manager easily looked up the price difference and said something stupid about price matching. Why am I price matching at the same store. Confirm prices online because the manager will charge full price for sales items. Or just shop online. read more

I don't go to banana republic as much as I did when I worked in an office. I always think of them as the chic office clothing store. Yes they do have casual things and dressier things; but I'm my opinion their main purpose for me was the office attire. This location is in Rice Village Arcade. Sometimes it's difficult to find a spot in the front parking lot, but there is always additional parking in the garage. And they actually validate when shopping in the store. The staff is friendly and when there isn't anything in stock, they're more than happy to order if for you or have it at another store. I'm one of those people that only buy items on sale at Banana Republic, so I can never take advantage of the free alteration service they claim to offer. This location is cool. I don't live far so it's very convenient for me to run in and run out vs going to the mall. read more

This is my favorite Banana Republic store because it is never too crowded... They also have a continuous stock of sale items that usually includes high heels in my size, which always makes my day!! I love this store for all its great basic staple clothes that wash well and don't fall apart quickly. read more

Nice location but the staff are ridiculous. I went to try on an oversized Christmas sweater from the men's section (consciously) because I it looked cosy. Coming out of the changing rooms I handed some of the staff what didn't work and the mens sweater was one of them, they laughed as I walked away (thinking I couldn't hear) and they joked how I had tried on a mens sweater. It's a group of adults who act like they are in highschool. Don't bother asking these overgrown children for help. read more

I really love coming to this Banana in Rice Village. They have the best and most helpful staff from any of the Banana's I've been too, which makes shopping and finding my size a breeze. They also seem to have 40% off sales constantly- or maybe I just tend to go shopping when they have 40% off sales. They have a great selection of both Men's and Women's clothing and accessories, so bring your boyfriend/husband and find some new clothes for you both! The sale selection is well-kept and well-stocked, so don't be afraid to look in the back for the cheap goods. We all do it, there's no judgment. The store is a nice size, isn't usually too busy, and the checkout line moves very quickly. Parking in the garage is free for up to 2 hours with merchant validation, which Banana Republic provides. I try to stop in here each time I'm in the Village, and I've never had a bad experience. Good clothes + good service = happy shopper. read more

I came in to exchange some pants I only wore for a few hours today and they refused to exchange my $90 pants because they were worn! The sales lady gave me the dirtiest look for even asking. I come here because I live here. I usually come to pick up things Galleria doesn't have in stock. When I came in this store, there always something you can't tell what's wrong. It's the person, that black women doesn't make you very confident when you try on and didn't buy yet keep on shopping. She has an attitude on her face all the time. And I don't care. But I had seen her smile once in my shopping life here that was to service her kind. BE PROFESSIONAL. And this last time was really piss me off, she refused my mom a Senior lady was using a $5 reward I gave her. Mah it did really make me confused that she owns the BR money and store. How in the hell would banana republic have this kind rudest person allowed to service here? We consider it is a bad BR store since that person is always here. BR needs to hire some pretty face at least smiles. They are all $8/hr. read more

This place is the absolute worst. I walked into the store, wearing workout clothes after doing pilates with my job, no one said a word. Side note: I'm sure they judged me for wearing workout clothes and looking like shit. So I walk around the store for about ten minutes accumulating about fifteen items. No one offered to help, even though items were spilling out of my hands. Get into the fitting room, try on clothes, still no one asks if I need anything.Now, as I am currently waiting in line to pay, I have been waiting for 20 minutes. Yeah never again. I would have left but I had to buy something for an event. Did I mention there were more 'sales people' than there were shoppers? read more

The location of the store is in the always over populated West University and parking is always a major task. None the less, the store itself is very well laid out and they have a nice selection of garments. The three stars is for the service. I walked around about 15 min. before anyone greeted me. The store was not at capacity either or noting of the sort. A salesman was at the entrance as soon as I walked in, and still no sort of salutation. A gentleman came from the back and performed the typical sales talk, " Haven't seen you in a while" "How's your family", mind you this was my first time at this location. He at the minimum, did acknowledge me and started my dressing room. They had and extra 40% off going on, but the way the sale signage was displayed it was very confusing, I thought all of my items were on sale, only to find out just one garment was. read more

I like this store a lot, especially the manager, Terry. Sadly though, the product has gone downhill. The sizing is all over the place. The personnel look at me strangely when I grab 4 pairs of the same chinos in the same size, but I actually need to try them all on to find one that fits: they vary enormously. I must say I don't always go in here often but this last visit was such a breath of fresh air! I know it's Christmas time and everyone is in a rush and retailers see people in and out at all times but I always tell a difference in the crew when they make effort to actually welcome you in... and mean it! As soon as I stepped in the door I was greeted with friendly smiles and genuine personality! Erica, Jocelyn, & Alex were so personable! They told me about the sales, pointed me in the direction of super cute pieces, and even helped me in the fitting room! I almost felt like I was out shopping with girls! Real people that I thoroughly enjoyed while purchasing a couple of things for myself this Christmas! I spoke so much about them to the beau that he even asked, "why didn't you exchange numbers?" I went to this location in Rice Village yesterday specifically for a black dress and shoes for a wedding I'm attending this weekend. Every salesperson was wonderful! From the gentleman that offered to set up a dressing room for me to the salesperson that helped me with sizing and shoes to the salesperson that helped me finalize the selections and get to the register. What I also liked about the experience in that store, besides the great sale prices, was the way the salespeople worked as a team. I felt welcomed by them and enjoyed how they all seemed to like each other. I'll definitely shop there again!! read more

Came in last week looking for a white dress shirt and also just browsing for some fall ideas. Right as I walked in Terry greeted me and made me feel at home, I browsed for a little bit and then told terry I was looking for a white dress shirt for a new suit and not only was he able to just look at me and get a good feel for what fit and size I would need, but when I tried it on I came out of the dressing room and he had the eyes to notice what areas fit and what didn't and made the right adjustment to get me into exactly what I needed. And he wasn't just doing this for me, there were several of us that he was somehow managing to work with all at the same time yet somehow make you feel like you getting into what you needed was the most important thing to him. When I go try to get some new stuff for fall I'm going straight here to get Terry's opinion. Great experience! read more

Watch out!! I suffered serious skin irritation and chemical burns all around my waistline and groin after wearing Banana Republic's "Slim Rapid Movement" jeans right out of the package. The jeans were ordered at this store. I have asked Banana Republic to stop selling these jeans until this is sorted out, but Gap corporate has apparently decided to ignore safety in favor of its continued profits. If you buy these jeans, please be sure that you wash the jeans before wearing. I didn't and ended up with a persistent, ugly, itchy rash that required medical treatment and treatment with steroids. When I brought the jeans back to this store, I was treated respectfully by Grace, this store's manager. She listened to my concerns and offered me a full refund. read more
