Alexis is amazing!! I came in with a return for an online order of $299. It was about 30-35 pieces of clothing. I came in right as soon as they opened hoping it would be fast. Apparently when making a return they have to have the items in order because they need to manually type in the price of each item after you scan them. (So dumb, in my opinion) So i decided to help her organize each item by the list on the return form. Not even 20 minutes and the line was getting long, fast. However Alexis was a great help! She was efficient, didn't make me feel anyway for taking up so much of her time. The manager (a man) on the other hand was rude!! I seen him giving me ugly looks because I was keeping his staff a while doing the return. And the line was getting long, fast. So someone needs to talk to him about customer service. Alexis was amazing! Did my full return for me and did it happily, i wish I could've tipped her but since it's retail I hope her manager see's this yelp review and congratulates her in some way, shape or form for her outstanding customer service. Thank you!

Hate the return policy not the customer service. Fix yourself childrens place I'm done shopping. Not worth the hassle of a return

I know this store gets criticism for being selective, but honestly, would you want to buy secondhand children's items that weren't carefully inspected? They're selective for a reason, and as a parent, I appreciate that. I've also seen negative comments about the owner. In my experience, he's always been kind and professional. He genuinely seems to care about the business and his customers. Like anyone, he may come across differently depending on the situation, but if you give him a chance, I think you'll find he's a good guy. Yes, there can be a wait when you sell your items, but that's because someone is individually sorting through every single piece. That takes time. I'd rather they inspect everything thoroughly than rush through it. As for payouts, they are very upfront about how their buying process works. If you're looking to make the absolute most money, they'll even suggest other platforms like Facebook Marketplace. But as a busy mom, convenience is worth a lot. I don't always have the time to photograph, list, answer messages, and coordinate meetups. I'd much rather bring everything in, get paid the same day, and be done. People also forget that this is a business. They have rent, payroll, utilities, and many other operating costs. They can't pay close to retail value and still keep the doors open. The trade-off is convenience, and for me, it's absolutely worth it. Overall, Once Upon a Child is a fantastic place to buy affordable, gently used kids' items and an easy, hassle-free option for selling what your family no longer needs. I'll definitely keep coming back.

I had a really disappointing experience at Once Upon a Child. I brought in several items from brands like Zara and Nike that were in excellent, almost new condition. I understand resale stores need to make a profit, but the offers were shockingly low--around $1-$2 per item. The younger employees were friendly and pleasant, but the older gentleman who helped me was extremely rude, impatient, and acted like my questions were an inconvenience. When I politely asked how they determine what they pay for certain items, he couldn't really explain it and responded with a lot of attitude instead of being helpful. After my visit, I read through some of the other reviews, and I wish I had done that beforehand. It seems several other customers had similar experiences with the older gentleman, and I definitely understand what they were talking about. Based on my experience, he came across as unfriendly, impatient, and rude. Customer service makes all the difference, and unfortunately, this experience was anything but pleasant. Between the long wait, the very low offers, and the poor customer service, I won't be returning to buy or sell here. I'd rather donate my kids' clothes to Goodwill than deal with that kind of attitude.

DO NOT BUY HERE! If I could give it a 0 star I would. I bought my daughter a dress at this store…read morefor the first time. When I was paying I told the cashier that my daughter pulled the tag off. I still bought the dress not knowing what was to come. As I am getting ready for my daughter's birthday, I tried on this dress today Thursday before the weekend. The dress hurts her underarms because it's too tight. I come back to the store, Little Angels 5 days later. When I am in the store the "manager" tells me that I can't return the dress because although the receipt says EXCHANGES WITHIN 10 DAYS the policy after COVID is no exchanges. Shouldn't the receipt be corrected? The return policy is contracting if the receipt says otherwise. In addition, she said that even if the policy allowed exchanges she wouldn't exchange it because the tag wasn't on ALTHOUGH I PURCHASED IT WITHOUT THE TAG. I said she should train her employees to let the customer know so we can get another dress with a tag or have them add the tag again. The manager said it's my fault for buying the dress without a tag. This is very unacceptable and I will not be shopping here again. If the manager could have easily exchanged as a one time courtesy to keep customers coming back. But instead she was giving attitude and unprofessional.

Not to mention called me much older. Again (sarcastically) GREAAAAAT customer service!!!! She did point out how rude I was and I apologize I shouldn't call anyone those names but I was quite frustrated with the way my mother was treated. Again I highly recommend going to other stores, where even if it is my mom's fault (although it should have been told before we paid, especially since she asked about getting a refund) they would apologize for the confusion but it's store policy. That would have been the more professional approach.

At first I wasn't impressed. Mostly T-shirt's and sweat shirts and casual clothing. I'm not in need of casual clothing at this time. Looking on the wall I saw some slacks. They were on sale and reasonable priced so I took a closer look. They had my size, 4, short so I decided to try a pair on. They fit perfect and they had black. I don't have any black pants due to they attract fuzz and dog hair. When I had my dog I got rid of all my black pants due they looked tacky with all her hair on it. There was no getting out of the house hairless. Now that she passed this is the perfect time to invest in some black slacks. I am now ready for fall and winter. It's going to look fabulous with my sweaters and blouses.

I wear layered clothing or leggings and a slim fitting top. The store is well organized and sections are clearly marked. As with many thrift stores there are different colors marked down every day please listen for the announcements or check the board. I would recommend grabbing a cart because last time I went I found quite a bit and was carrying around my treasures. As with thrifting you never know what you are going to discover. The last time I went I came out with two fantastic finds one a H&M black cotton dress suitable for work wear and take you straight into evening or happy hour. The ruffle tiered dress I admit I paid more than I wanted to but Google came to the rescue and I saw several original retail prices and I found it over $ 100.00 brand new so I decided to splurge and purchase the dress. Service I can't comment on because I usually don't ask for help and there is self checkout available. But I don't know if my last encounter with customer service I should be flattered or insulted. I was checking out my items and the lady that was working at the front thought I was stealing my OWN jacket that I came in wearing! I said this jacket is mine check the cameras I was wearing it when I came in here! All in all a great thrift store but give yourself time because there is so much to look at. I find if I give myself time I find more treasures rather than just rushing through. Also, keep your finds close at hand with the case of the orange ruffle dress after people saw me put it on they were asking if I was going to purchase it while I was trying it on! There were people definitely waiting for me to put it down. Good Luck and Happy thrifting
