Recently we had a service guy out regarding our washing machine. As I told the lady when I called to make the appointment, since day one we have done *all* the things we're supposed to for a front load washer - monthly cleaning with Affresh and wiping down the door, seal, detergent tray etc. We even opened up the machine to clean the drain pump. Yet it still smells. She said she'll send a service guy out to look at it and fix it. To start with the guy shows up and parks the truck half in and half out of our driveway despite there being a spot RIGHT there in front of the house. It would have taken him literally an extra 10 steps to do the right thing. As I answer the door I see the mail carrier pulling up and having to get out of the truck to deliver the mail. I went out to greet him and get the mail, apologizing on behalf of the Sterling Appliance knucklehead's parking. The service guy just stands there and says nothing to either the mail carrier or me. Lazy and thoughtless. Then he goes in the laundry room and after a very quick look at it, proceeds to tell me that this machine has clearly been cleaned well and they can't guarantee smells will be gone or won't return, only that he can charge me north of $800 to replace several parts today to see if that will help. I ask instead about replacing the drain pipe since that is the one thing we hadn't tried yet. He tells me he can't do that today because it would (suddenly) take a second person to pull the machine away from the wall to access the back of it. (Never mind we did that with one person to check the drain pump.) So, I'd need to pay for today, re-schedule and pay for labor for two people to come back out and that alone would run around $400 plus parts. Instead, I paid their service call fee and will not use them again because of this lazy, lazy guy. What a waste of time and money. Sterling Appliance, certainly you can hire better employees than this ridiculously lazy clown!

Took my lawn mower blade to get it sharpened. He took it inside and brought back the sharpened…read moreblade. However, he used a very coarse grinder that created almost serrated edges on the blade. This would cause the blade to pull and tear the grass instead of making a clean cut. I was very disappointed and asked if he used a 30 degree angle for the grinder, he acted annoyed and said 37 and half degrees! I figured it was useless talking to this guy as he was the master of his universe! It was obvious they don't use professional table mounted Sharpener because the edge was not uniform. It's really disheartening because I had high hopes for this place.

That text was met with a call from some hillbilly saying he heard my "little attitude" and at that point I hung up on the phone as I realized there was no intelligent conversation to be had with them. Unfortunately, I think the professionalism is lacking. While the internet says Levine's is open til' 6, twice I went before 6 to find no one around. There isn't even an answering machine for the phone line. Mr. Levine handed me my knives without wrapping them, posing a safety issue. His wife had to remind him to do so. Also, my knife, while a shitty knife, still isn't cutting things well, even after being sharpened. Despite these lapses, both Mr. Levine and his wife are very friendly, and clearly take pride in their work. The prices were reasonable - I had my chef's knife sharpened for $15. I think this is a situation where a few minor changes would really go a long way. That said, I get the sense that this is a side business, and Mr. Levine and his wife aren't really trying to be particularly professional, just trying to make some extra money for a hobby.

Everywhere I went, they seemed like they didn't want to help me or said it can't be done. I came here as a last resort and Jake gave me an amazing experience. He tried his best to lengthen my bracelet but we couldn't find the appropriate size. I was already prepared to swap the bracelet for a leather strap and he recommended and installed one at a very good price. The service and experience were amazing and I will always come here from now one for services. Thank you so much Jake for helping me get my first watch up and running when everywhere else said it couldn't be done! Would give 10/10 recommend.
