Omg, this is place is so bomb, it's right down the street from Vern's which is wicked awesome in itself. The chai guy was started by a guy (Patrick) who lived in india back in like 2005-06 and learned how to make bomb ass chai while he was there! The chai he makes is wicked awesome highly recommend it! I love mixing the chai w a little espresso and really getting funky! Haha If u have yet to try this spot out, come on over and give them a shot!

Had the chance to stop into this new Chai Guy location today! Currently enjoying my iced chai with espresso and pumpkin spice. Is there anything better than sipping fresh chai in the morning? I don't think so! This location is lovely, clean, bright, and convenient. There is a bench to sit and enjoy your chai, along with both indoor and outdoor tables. You choose hot or iced, level of sweetness, add ins, dairy, and BOOM - you'll be on your way. Beverage sizes are on the larger size and I was in and out super quick. Parking available on the street if you're going in the morning, and this is a great stretch to take a walk and sip your chai while taking in the sights. Go check out this new spot along with continuing to support the Chai Guy at the Public Market!

Super Chai, Half Sweet with Soy.

My Chai was so good. While I could have had it stronger, it was delicious nonetheless. I got the iced super chai (Tumeric & Ginger) with soy. Flavors were great, but next time I'd get less milk and more chai. Fun little spot with chai lemonades and frozen chai's which I will have to try next time around. They have a nice little outdoor seating area as well.

One of my favorite spots to come! The chai is so good and they make it so quick. The customer service is always amazing all around.

Pretty solid chai. Personally I recommend choosing less sugar. The default is decently sweet but I'm also not a huge sweets person. The shop is super cute, and there's some outside seating. Pretty large chai, 20oz, from what I saw it's one size. They have several milk choices and flavoring options. I recommend regular cows milk, I very rarely drink cows milk but when I tried the chai with oat milk, to me the flavor of the chai changed enough that I wasn't crazy about it but that's me.

The smell as you walk into the shop alone is worth five stars. But the service was also excellent and the tea was fantastic. I also got an apple pastry, of course. ::chef's kiss::

I always like to look for espresso specials and we were not disappointed by the selection. My fiance got The Snug with maple syrup and molasses bitters. I was too afraid to try any drinks with bitters (I hate how it tastes in cocktails) but I took a sip of The Snug and it tasted great, I would definitely try that next time. I had the B.B.L. latte which had banana syrup, it was more on the sweet side but not overly sweet (I would avoid it if you don't enjoy a sweet palate, try a latte with bitters instead!) It was something unique to try and I was happy with my choice. There was also plenty of seating which is always a huge plus in the winter in Rochester. We had no trouble getting a table. I should also note that there was a very limited food selection here -- about 3 baked goods offered. So if you're looking for food and coffee, I would recommend looking elsewhere. Overall I would happily try out Ugly Duck again! I'm curious if they have outdoor seating in the warmer months.

I'm not sure I'd consider this a good place to study, but it's a nice place to catch up with friends or take a pause outside with a good drink on a patio. The seating inside is somewhat limited, but the patio is beautiful. The buildings will provide natural shade in the afternoon. Parking can also be difficult and limited.

The gentleman who helped me was very friendly and helpful. I decided to tthe borek. It's a pastry that can be made either savory or sweet, I decided to have mine with. Spinach and cheese. I also ordered the baklava, and a little cup of the Turkish coffee (whoa!!). The Borek , I didn't look that big in the case spoiler alert, it was.... The dough was wonderfully flaky , and the filling was amazingly savory. I liked the spinach, and I'm not sure what type of cheese it was. But it played with the spinach perfectly it reminded me very much of a spanakopita, which I also love. The baklava was also excellent. It was perfectly flaky on the outside, and the honey, and the nuts inside were just fantastic. It is one of the better baklava that I have ever had. Now let's talk about the Turkish coffee. I've had Lebanese coffee, and I loved, and Ithought was strong.... the Turkish coffee makes Lebanese coffee taste like decaf that you would get from a cheap corner diner. With just a little bit of milk and sugar, it was perfect it was rich, and it was strong! At this point, I could probably make it to six hours to my destination without a car :). All of this great food, and I was only roughly out the door 20 bucks. For such high-quality food, it was worth it. I hope I'm back in Rochester again, because I would easily stop here again.

I came in for something simple and left fully committed to the experience. The Turkish coffee arrived in the most adorable cup, strong and velvety with that classic, unapologetic depth, paired with a soft, rose-kissed Turkish delight that made the whole thing feel like a ritual rather than just a caffeine stop. I took my time to enjoy every sip of it. And then the rice pudding. Served warm in a rustic clay bowl, topped generously with pistachios--it hit that perfect balance of creamy, lightly sweet, and comforting without being heavy. One of those desserts that sneaks up on you and suddenly you're scraping the bottom of the dish. The space itself is cozy and thoughtfully put together, and the people working there genuinely elevate it. Kind, welcoming, and happy to let you linger a bit, which feels increasingly rare. The first thing I noticed is how healthy and vibrant the plants look and to me that was the winning point. This is a great cozy spot for folks who don't enjoy social interactions and high energy vibes. It's more for the slow in the moment experience to sip and relax.
