    Beef jerky ruben sandwich.....

Pick the place after reading other reviews since I was just passing through. New item on the menu was a Ruben sandwich which I ordered. Upon arrival at my table the corned beef looked like beef jerky and after attempting to separate the corn beef for 15 minutes I finally broke it down far enough to swallow. I placed the remainder of the sandwich in my survival kit for future generations.

Food was great. Great service. The Napoleon had a sherry flare on it that kind of threw omit off but still good. I really have nothing bad to say about this place. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Very small & intimate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food wasn't AMAZING but definitely good.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Restaurant is super small but very cute.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service was slow but friendly. The cocktails were pretty good and we were impressed by the variety. Overall the food was okay. The beef tenderloin was overcooked - when inquiring about it they said our obviously well done entree was medium well. For $47 it's a steep price to not be done correctly and if it was priced differently we may not have cared as much. I likely wouldn't go here again but I'm a big foodie and there are a lot of other options to try out. However, I think it's a decent spot.

We stopped in for lunch for this afternoon (7/19/25) for the first time after living here for a few years. We are pretty disappointed that we haven't been here sooner!!!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a quaint spot (maybe 10ish tables). Just the way I like it, so every table gets the attention they need without being ignored or too bothered.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] My husband got the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with fries. Listen...he doesn't rave about food often but he couldn't stop saying how good it was. And don't get me started on their amazingly unique fries!!!!! I could go back and just order those! They are like spiral wedges with a crisp that I can't even explain. I'd say they are one of the best I've ever had, and I'd consider myself a bit of a foodie. I got the Asian Shrimp Tacos and " the soup of the day "-Asparagus Bisque. The bisque was more like a soup in my opinion, but the taste was there so I didn't even care! It was so delicious! *If you had an event here or catered...Id serve it as mini shooters! Thats how good it was. The tacos were pretty good too. Definitely a yummy hint of umami flavor with Bulgogi- if you are familiar with it. Shrimp was a tad overcooked (but that's easy to do with smaller sized shrimp)-I'm guilty of that too. It was a perfect light lunch for me! I also like how there's parking behind the building as well (in case there's no street parking out front). We are already planning our next visit! Highly recommended. You won't be disappointed. No fluff. No stuffiness. Just great food and friendly service.

I couldn't have been more wrong. The service was fantastic despite a busy floor, and the food was on another level. The shrimp tacos got two thumbs up, the hushpuppies with cinnamon butter were spot-on, and the chicken tenders were hands-down the best we've ever tasted--crispy on the outside, insanely juicy on the inside, and massive portions. Couldn't be happier with our experience. We're already planning our next ride down!

You have the option of dinning indoors and outside on the deck. No reservation required and plenty of room. The deck only has about 6 or 7 tables and you're in direct sun. We opted for the deck. It was warm with the sun beating down on us, but you can't beat the view and ambiance. A performer was indoors singing, which was a cute idea and people on boats would just pull up and dock and come into the restaurant. Pretty cool concept. The food was absolutely delish! We wanted to try the crab pretzel but they were unfortunately out of that dish, so we pivoted to the wings. Lemon pepper, to be exact. We loved them! I ordered the blackened salmon with a kale crunch salad and lime rice. That was probably the best salmon I've ever had! And the portion was huge!! I also ordered the lemonade crush. Perfect for a warm day! Our server was so sweet and helpful during our visit. She made sure to check on us frequently and she had a very pleasant demeanor. What's funny is she has an identical twin working here also and I would often confuse the two. Lol! All and all, we had a fabulous time!. After we ate, we did a little roaming around the area. The area has a lot of cool places to visit. Even though the ride here is about 1 hour 10 minutes from my house, it was sooooo worth the ride. Give the area a try! You won't be disappointed.

This is the worst restaurant I've ever been to. Let me tell you why you should never go…read more We made a reservation in advance, as we were coming as a large group. We received a phone call to confirm the reservation, the staff member who called was very rude to us. We were told there is an automatic 18% gratuity for large groups. We were also very rudely told we cannot be loud, and we cannot move tables. We called to reserve for a group of 12 and were placed at three separate tables! When we arrived and told the staff we had a reservation, we were rudely told, "It's the three tables setup outside." as if we were supposed to know that. We were not led to our tables, we were told that our waiter would be with us shortly. We waited for an incredibly long time after we ordered, someone got a side salad after about half an hour and no one else got food (even though other people also ordered salads). After 1hr15mins we finally started getting our food. Coleslaw tasted spoiled and gross - basically rotten. The chicken tenders were dry, tough, and we were only given three tenders for how expensive they were. Caesar salad was also overpriced for what it is and the dressing was not very good. Burger tasted freezer burnt. The mac and cheese would have been better if it were Kraft mac and cheese, it's like they just put shredded cheese over some old mac and cheese. Fries were bland. The Maryland crab soup just looked gross - it was barely any crab and just large chunks of vegetables. not a single food item we received tasted good. While it does not impact the food, there were many spelling errors on the menu. The chairs and tables outside were also incredibly uncomfortable - and we would know, as we were sitting on them for almost two hours. We had to get food after leaving this restaurant because the food was either not filling or so bad we didn't want to eat it. The cherry on top was when we got the check, and they added a THIRTY percent auto gratuity. 30%!!!! That's obscene, especially since we were told it would be 18% on the phone, and the food and service was barely even worthy of a 15% tip. We had to argue back and forth to get the gratuity removed. Ridiculous. After everything, it was ten minutes before they closed. The waiters started cleaning up around us - but they were the ones who took over an hour to get us food and then a million years as we argued about the 30 percent gratuity. When we did get the checks, the auto gratuity was still 20%. We just paid it because we were sick and tired of being there. Overall - horrible ambience, horrible service, horrible food. Not ever worth trying. I wish I could give it 0 stars.

They roast their own coffee! Wow! Yum!…read more On a weekend morning (Jun 2026), we were in the vicinity of Solomons MD, and friends said that Bugeye Grill roasts their own coffee. That got our attention! We stopped in at this bright clean restaurant on a late weekend morning, (weekdays they open at 5pm). The French-press coffee was a tasty fragrant medium Brazilian blend. The flavor was well balanced, and it was a good smooth non-acidic coffee We found it to be a creamier fragrant brew, not a darker roasty flavor. It had a lightly malty sweetness and nuttiness, characteristic of its blend of Brazilian arabica, robusta, and hybrid beans. They have different blends from time to time. They really are a full-menu restaurant terrific views of Back Creek, and a midscale-classy vibe. They focus on seafood and steaks and lobster! We saw sandwiches around $20. This time, we came for the coffee. It was luscious!

The restaurant had a nice variety of dishes and specialty cocktails...I think that I was more interested in the latter. ;) Since I have not visited Solomons, MD before, I cannot comment if the prices are comparable to other places in the area. However, most of the entrees were in the $25 and up range. I thought my fish and chips (I forget the actual name of the dish) were fine, and my spouse really enjoyed the crab cake sandwich. Although I thought the portion sizes for the sandwiches and fries were fine, the serving size of the mussels seemed a bit small. However, this could have been an optical illusion because the serving bowl for the mussels was HUGE, so the amount of mussels could have appeared to be smaller than what it was. I thought the outdoor patio was great especially with a view of the water and folks going about their business. However, some may not like the setup because you are right on the main street, which can be a bit noisy especially if a lot of bikers are cruising up and down the strip. Parking was a bit of a struggle (not the fault of the restaurant). During our visit, all of the public parking lots were full. However, we visited on Mother's Day weekend so maybe there were more folks (including us ) in the area than normal. I'll admit that since this was my first time visiting the area that I'm not too familiar about the ebb and flow of parking. Overall, our server (who reminded me a bit of a young Jodie Foster) was amazing. One thing that I really appreciated was her telling us about a potential delay for the food due to a large party. Although no one wants to hear that after ordering food, I think it's nice and considerate when a server provides a heads-up so diners can adjust accordingly.
