We also had to cancel a chicken sandwich since everyone else (other than me since I returned my burger) was finishing their meal and that one was still "being prepared". A little disappointed. This is usually 1 of my goto restaurants when I come home. This time the spinach and dip and tortillas were not good. The tortilla chips tasted burnt and the dip didn't taste fresh. My Cesar side salad had no croutons and I had to give it back to the server to add croutons. Terrible service, all waiters and manager (with the red shirt) were sitting around on tables just chatting and cursing up a storm loudly. I'm an adult and wasn't with children, so I let it go. But I was sitting for a while and was not served once or told how long a waiter would come, the waiters were annoyed that I kept looking at them sitting down as I was confused when we can order and continued with their conversation while all cursing loudly including the manager. From start to finish my most recent experience was HORRIBLE!!! Not a soul seated me I had to seat myself. I sat in a young lady named "Dee's" section. Worst decision I've made in 2024. She was high. Her service was minimal. Her attention span was short lived. Her accuracy was completely off. Her attitude was absolutely atrocious and she added food onto my order that I didn't ask for. The wings were very chewy and gummy like textured. But I'm not here about the food. Whoever the GM is needs to discipline her because her respect levels are very low. Because the young lady who was the manager last night honestly seemed like she could care less about anything I had to say. Her service skills are under par. And she's combative with patrons. You have got to be kidding me, I'm in the Applebees and the service is unbelievably slow, but the kicker is ain't that many people in the restaurant. My grandson food came out, mines came out almost 30 minutes later. I didn't say anything, glad my little guy was eating. We didn't get a follow up or anything after the food was finally brought out. I ordered a dessert, my grandson wanted his own dessert after mines came out, well she never came back to check and was bringing the check. I went here with my 3 kids and everything was fine at first until the guy who was Serveing us just left to go bartend and all we had was our drinks so we waited about 20 minutes and that guy was still bartending so we asked another server if she could take out order and she told us "oh ok sure let me ask the guy if its ok to take your guy's order" and she left to and never came back so after another 10-15 ?minutes we decided to just leave, I don't recommend going to this place. read more

The staff are always friendly to my husband and I and the food is pretty good for what you're paying for. We only come during happy hour because there appetizers are half off. First of all, I ordered from this place last night. I got 2 separate orders for myself and my boyfriend. He was terrified when he found a piece of metal in his food!!! I don't even understand HOW this happens but he had to throw away his food. Btw, this was ordered for him to eat during his overnight watch so I am highly disappointed. Secondly, my food wasn't much better. I had a chicken Alfredo which the chicken was just barely cooked. The pasta itself had no flavor. It's like they didn't even add sauce. I truly try to seek out the positive aspect in every experience that I encounter, so it was really difficult for me to give this rating, especially during such a difficult time. My family and I came to Applebee's for an early dinner. We sat at our table for 10-15 minutes before our drink orders were taken and since it took so long to get service, we decided to place our orders as well. There were 5 people, so I understand it can be a bit much and maybe overwhelming for a server, but the server ensured us he got it. When the orders were put in, we still waited another 10 minutes for our drinks to get there. Patience is a virtue so big deal... We ordered two appetizers - the barbecue boneless wings and the mozzarella sticks and for entrees we ordered three bourbon chicken n shrimp; the oriental chicken salad; and the chicken fajita bowl (originally explained as a wrap). The food came out at random times, but relatively quickly. My aunt got her main entree before the apps even came out. Since it was a bowl and bit a wrap, she requested tortilla shells and it took 18 mins for her to receive them. Our bbq wings originally came out cold and with no dip or serving plates, so we decided to send them back for hotter ones. Some of the main entrees were brought out during this time and the saving grace of this experience was that the main dishes actually tasted really delicious. However, my salad was the last to come out (20ish minutes after everyone received their meals) and came out with the dressing on it when I requested it be put on the side. Luckily, I had the boneless wings to snack on and shared some of the bourbon chicken n shrimp meal. They took the salad back and decided to replace it as well (second dish sent back). Finally got a dessert - the apple crumble. The dessert came out on a hot skillet and was piping hot...but it was missing the ice cream! We informed the server and he was unsure if it came with ice cream (it does), so told the kitchen. After another 5 or so mins, the waiter brought out the ice cream. It seemed as though there was a lot of miscommunication between servers and the kitchen staff. Granted our server forewarned us that he was new, but I truly do not blame him for most of the hiccups. Some fixes will come with more hands on experience, but the most disappointing thing to me was that I saw the manager sitting in the corner doing nothing during our whole meal experience. If you find several meals being sent back to the kitchen and don't have any concern or care about it, then it makes me wonder if an experience like this is normal functioning or will appropriate structure be put into place to make proper changes for success. read more

It has been a long while since I went to an Applebee's, but went along with friends after attending an annual festival in the area. At the time we got there was late at night. On this visit, we spent more time chatting than eating, because we were all full at the time. However, I did get a chance to taste their Chocolate Mousse Dessert Shooter. It had decadent Oreo cookie pieces, chocolate mousse, hot fudge and whipped cream ($2.29). If you like mousse it is great for you, but don't expect cake at the bottom, as I did because at the time I ordered I did not fully read the description. It was very creamy and rich and so I only ate half, which is not a whole lot considering it is in a shooter glass. Our waitress on this visit was Constance and she was very bubbly and pleasant. She told us about checking out the place on Sat and we did. So, on my second visit to this location, this time I decided to eat something, nothing big (plus we had a different waiter than the previous night). I ordered the Quesadilla Burger, topped with their signature Mexi-ranch sauce and sprinkled with crisp bacon pieces, freshly-made pico de gallo and shredded lettuce and packed into a Jack and cheddar quesadilla ($9.99). Picture ground beef in a pita bread and it came with fries. It was okay - I did not get a wow factor as I ate it. If I am in the area again, I will certainly come back, but mostly to have Constance as my waitress only. read more

I actually enjoy Apple Bees at this location. The service is not bad and the drinks are great. I only have 1 complaint. My daughter is a senior in college and is from Virginia. She came here to visit during break. We got there right before Happy Hour ended. She shows her ID. This is where my issue comes in. The waiter explains he cant use her ID because its vertical. Never attempts to look at the date. This was the first time this has happened. After 5 mins of asking him to check the date (he is clearly having a hard time doing math in his head) he accepts it and gets her drink. If this is their policy because it has never been enforced before, it needs to be published on the door, wall, etc. Granted at 22 she clearly looks 15 however I wanted to celebrate the fact she made all As this semester.. Again, never had a bad experience here but this incident through me for a loop. read more

Usually when I come here I'm greeted right away and have a great experience. Today was the worst experience I've encountered here. It took 20 minutes for someone to greet us and get our drink order and food order. It took over an hour for our food to come out and we only ordered appetizers. Keep in mind there was only maybe 5 other tables in the restaurant. By the time the wings came out they were dried up from sitting in the back and the celery was dry as paper. The serve came and checked on us 2 times. That was it. To get our drink order and then to drop off the food and then never came back. Not happy at all with this visit. read more

My wife and I decided to go to Applebee's tonight for dinner. We selected the dinners for two $25 range. My wife ordered shrimp and chicken and I ordered the sirloin steak. The waitress was very nice and helpful during the meal. But, the sirloin steak meal was a little difficult to eat. I thought at first the knife was too dull to cut the meat then I decided it wasn't the knife it was the meat. I had found the toughest ligament I could have found in any piece of meat. I am not sure a beaver could have cut the meat. I tried cutting on the other end of the meat and it too was tough. The manager came by and attempted to neutralize the situation. But the meal was ruined. The meal was a disaster. I left the waitress a ten dollar tip for all the trouble. I know it wasn't her fault read more

Absolutly horrible. Two of the three orders at our table were missing. Service was ok, and when we talked to the manager about the food, she actually blamed us for not communicating exactly how we wanted it to the server. That's not our job, it's your menu and food. Never again! I can see by reading all the reviews that by far I'm not the only one that has experienced this. I rarely come to this restaurant but today I did. When we came in, we were seated very quickly and awkwardly. The server was polite and got us drinks. Here's where the problem was..The cups were filthy. The inside and outside had little multicolored flakes and particles. To add to damage there was also dirty plates, shell on my shrimp and no napkins over here looking like messy 12 year olds!!!! The actual food was pretty tasty. The food is terrible. Think frozen appetizers cooked in an oven/microwave and the left out until they were back to room temp. Happy hour deals and service are good but the cook staff give Zero f&@ks. Normally Applebees makes a good lunch or happy hour stop but this place is a disgrace. Even the chips and salsa appetizer sucked. Really? With all the recent changes that Applebee's has made, they seemed to be heading in the right direction. I have gone there several times in the past few months, and was pleasantly surprised with the new food options. However, today was a totally different story. My wife and I stopped in for lunch today. The place was not very busy at all. There were about 10-12 other tables with people there, so I figured it would be a fairly quick lunch. Not so fast. !!! let's start with our waitress, Jessie. I don't think you could have had a more apathetic server if you tried. We saw her when she got our drink, or food, and our receipt. Basically, we rarely saw her. Whether it was to ask for another drink, or an update on when our food would be ready, she was nowhere to be found. But lets just leave this where it is, not so good. Now the food....... I ordered the southwest steak salad with the steak cooked rare. What I got was a sad looking hunk of meat, with little to no char or cook marks on it, that looked like it was cooked slowly in a frying pan. But the worst part, was that the steak was COLD when I got it. Could I have sent it back, yes.... but I rarely do that for several reasons. One, it took 40 minutes to get the food in the first place, and I didn't want a reheated "steak". The other one is because my lunch hour was about up, and I didn't know how long it would take to get a hot steak cooked right. So I just ate it and moved on. As far as the restaurant itself goes, it could have been better. I was dodging flies for about 20 minutes as they dive bombed my table. In addition, the speaker directly over our head played as much static as it did music.... Very annoying. I have to admit, I was very disappointed with Applebee's this time around. I briefly went to the establishment with two other friends and never got seated or even acknowledged by any host(s) or waiters. There were no hosts available at the front either. Staff members were walking by, staring at us as if we didn't belong there, and no one ever came to the front to tell us they'd be with us in a second. Absolutely horrendous experience. My boyfriend and I both contracted food poisoning and ended up in the hospital from this establishment. We decided to stop in for a late lunch around 3:00 in the afternoon and by the time we both got home around 6:00 that night we were both glued to the toilet throwing up and it stayed that way for 12 hours straight. My boyfriend ended up hospitalized because he was so dehydrated his lips were turning blue. He needed a whole 3 liters of IV Fluids when we got there. The hospital even told us they see cases of food poisoning from that specific Applebee's all the time, I'm not sure how they are still open or why this hasn't been reported to the health department. Please beware and take caution when stopping in here, I don't want anyone to have to endure what my boyfriend and I did. read more
