First, this has amazing views of the Potomac. You can sit overlooking the water. We stopped by on…read morethe off season, so it wasn't too busy but seemed popular for kids since there's old school arcade games available. We got the American Pie, which tasted like a burger with all the toppings on a pizza. I loved it. One pizza is enough for two to share. We also got the fries to go along with our pizza burger lol. A bit pricey but again, you're paying for the location. Good music in the background and friendly service. Would stop again.

Self described "pizza snob" here (one bite! Everybody knows the rules): I hate going to…read morerestaurants and ordering steaks and pizza; they are always overpriced and never any good. In fact, since I've moved to Virginia, the god-forsaken barren wasteland of pizza, I've found two pizzas worth eating... that is until today. This isn't the best pizza I've had (but maybe it is actually), but it's damn close. My wife and I rented a VRBO in the same building, and we went to Muse after a day on the sand just to have DRINKS! I refused subjecting myself to pizza from a Virginia pizza place, even if the atmosphere and ambiance was fantastic I ordered a few drinks, and then I realized that food would be nice, so I got some really sub-par cheese fries (gritty cheese sauce that had the consistency of mashed potatoes with the taste of under-seasoned white gravy). The specialty drinks were ok (at best), and let's be honest; basil DOES NOT (!!!) belong in a drink, despite me being curious enough to order one. They were just ok, albeit over-priced, but who cares because the pizza was the star of the show! This pizza was phenomenal, and at the end of our night, we ordered one to go when we left. That one to go, by the way, was gone before 9pm tonight. The crust was chewy and crispy at the same time with tons of subtle flavor. There was minimal sauce (most restaurants in Virginia, I've found, tend to over-sauce in order to make up for their crappy crust), and the toppings that were there (onions and bacon) were working in harmony instead of trying desperately to be the focus. This entire thing was fantastically done by someone who knows what they are doing with a pizza, which is rare in this state. Bravo, Muse, for the best pizza I've had west of Cape Charles's Dead Rise Pies.

I should have listened to the locals when they told me this was a place that I should not have gone…read moreto. I went because they had gnocchi on the menu and I thought how bad could it really be how bad can Italian food be right? I also had read in a previous review about their Caesar dressing and how it had real anchovies in it and it was homemade. I was super excited to have the Caesar salad with chicken as my meal as I wasn't that hungry and I love Caesar salad dressing with anchovies. I'm giving this place two stars because the waitress was extremely nice now granite we were the only people in the restaurant two other couples did come in as we were sitting there. Between the local reviews, the empty parking lot and then the country music on in an Italian restaurant I should've known. But we forged ahead. So we ordered the garlic basil shrimp as an appetizer, it was good. It was fine, but it lacked a lot of flavor. My son then had the gnocchi which he substituted the Parmesan sauce for red sauce and asked for a meatball instead of the chicken or sausage. I again ordered the big Caesar salad salad with chicken as my entrée, along with a glass of wine, that clearly had been opened a bit too long and not properly sealed. The Kohl's frozen garlic bread from your freezer section of your grocery store had more flavor than the garlic bread that came out with my son's dish the two meatballs that were huge in size had no flavor at all while the gnocchi was great and consistency. The sauce itself again lacked any flavor at all. My lettuce was not fresh the Caesar dressing if it was homemade was very thin and watery , and the chicken breast they asked for it to be put on top of it had no seasonings on it whatsoever. I would not go back here and I hope that you reading this considers it, this review and what all the locals told me, before you decide to go. And for those of you that are looking to maybe start a business in the colonial Beach area an Italian restaurant that delivers Italian food would be phenomenal.

Nonna' s Italian Kitchen is a welcome addition to the Colonial Beach restaurant scene. In this time…read moreof "shrink-flation" the portions were pleasantly generous. Our seafood pasta was delicious and loaded with a good amount of seafood. The prices are very fair and the service was good. The wine selection was ok. The food was very tasty, that's the most important thing. ( PS: It's completely authentic to have anchovies in a Cesar salad, but it's not commonly added in the majority of restaurants. Because anchovy is usually a love it or a hate it ingredient, it would be helpful to mention on the menu that the Nonna's Cesar salad dressing contains anchovies.)

A friend hit me up for happy hour on a Saturday night, and shockingly, I was home from work early enough to actually make it happen. Even more shocking? We chose Cheeky's, and I couldn't have been happier. The last time I was here was back when it was Casey's and Cheeky's was just launching, so I was excited to see how it had evolved. From the moment I walked in, the vibe was giving elegant, cozy, and intimate. Soft lighting, relaxed energy--basically the kind of place that gently tells you to sit down, sip a cocktail, and forget about your responsibilities. My friends had already ordered and kindly let us sample their food. I can't remember exactly what it was (possibly drunken noodles? Possibly magic?), but whatever it was, it was delicious. Since we didn't want to copy their order, my boyfriend and I went with the duck fries, duck wings, and fried beef tips with rice. Let me start with the fries because...wow. Skinny fries tossed in garlic, what tasted like truffle, and cooked in duck fat. Honestly? Some of the best fries I've had in a long time. I would come back just for those. My boyfriend loved the duck wings, which were generously coated in mumbo sauce. A little too saucy for me (I prefer my wings slightly less...bathed), but the flavor was solid and the portion was more than fair. My fried beef tips were everything--perfect crunch, just the right amount of sauce, and packed with flavor. A true masterpiece that really showcased Asian-inspired cuisine at its best. I also ordered the hibiscus lemon drop, which was so good I considered ordering a second (and did). That said, it was a bit overpriced for the size--but still tasty enough to make me forgive it. Overall, Cheeky's is super chic, serves delicious cocktails, and delivers flavorful, creative food. If you're looking for a food adventure or something a little out of the norm, I 100% recommend stopping by for an evening. My only complaint? I still dream about the pork katsu sandwich they had back in the Casey's days--served with homemade wonton chips. I think about that sandwich more often than I'd like to admit. Please...bring it back.
