This is my first time here as we recently moved to the area. I'm from New York City originally so I'm a little bit of a pizza snob. My Son had the chicken Cordon Bleu sandwich. I had the nachos and a margarita. And my mom had a personal pizza. My mom said that her pizza tasted as if it had been frozen and then reheated. We also ordered the jalapeño poppers. Cheyenne was our server and she was fantastic. I thought she did an amazing job at serving as she was by herself, so I felt really bad for her. I feel bad for her because she was working the bar taking orders serving and cashing people out by herself. At least she was by herself for the first half of my visit there. From what I can tell the restaurant fairly clean and I'm sure it gets very busy. I did not visit the bathroom so I don't know what that was like. They do have a game room which I thought was pretty cool to have something to do as well as food and drink drinks Coming from New York City and living in NOVA for the last 7 years to this area I do feel that the price point was a little high. And to be honest, although the food, was not the worst I've ever had it wasn't the best and at that price point I do expect it to be a lot better. read more

Great BBQ burger. Cooked to order and huge. My wife had the gyro and it was huge. My friend had the lasagna and it was large and meaty. Overall it was a great meal. The service was great too! I would go back there again. read more

Every time I've gone to Roma Pizza, I've ordered the buffalo chicken pizza, and it's always so good--definitely my go-to. The people there are consistently nice and welcoming. I also like that there's a smoking section on one side of the bar (even though I don't smoke), which helps keep the rest of the space comfortable. Overall, it's a great spot with good food and friendly vibes. read more

Disappointed. We ordered the "New York Style" cheese pizza thinking it would be the thick fluffy pizza seen in some of the pics here on yelp. Nope. It was verrry thin and tasted nothing like pizza from the north-- and we know thin pizza. I know we tend to be pizza snobs up north since no one makes pizza like NY and NJ...but... we were disappointed. I think the problem was the crust--Almost tasted gluten free or like wheat crust. They also didn't have any paper plates to give us. As out of town guests staying at a hotel, we didn't have plates. We ate it out of the box with napkins. This is a local spot, don't let the outside full you. Stopped in for a spot to chill, grab some food and drinks. This place stays open til midnight so perfect if your looking somewhere to go on a Sunday. I was pleasantly surprised by the great pizza. Sometimes food can be a hit or a miss. Pizza sometimes has way too much cheese. Wings are almost always great. Calzones if not burnt are good. Nice kids menu. I am not a fan of the pad Thai special.. keep that to a real Thai restaurant. Beers on tap, and available in bottle. Easy location for those who work at Dahlgren or live in King George. read more

Started with the mozzarella sticks and the got a medium sausage pizza. Both were on point. The trick with their pizza is to let it rest for a minute or two after it's brought out. Our server was excellent, very attentive but not overbearing. read more

I like Roma's. Simple atmosphere and yet perfect for most occasions. The food (I had pad thai) was excellent. The sauce to go over the pad thai had heat and flavor. I enjoyed myself so much I returned two weeks later and had my colleagues in tow. Will definitely go again. read more

It's really good I recommend the bacon cheese fries with chili there the best and the pizza comes out fast and is delicious.the cordon bleu is a bigger sandwich and it is sweater but not to sweat 10/10! I got it with no lettuce or tomato. read more

Great pizza spot outside the Dahlgren Naval Base. The crab dip is incredible with real crab meat chunks and alot of it. The pizza is also quite tasty and recommended if you love pizza. The staff was very friendly and will definitely return. The mozzarella were good but a little to crispy for me personally and do take note there are two sides to this place and if you go to their bar and grill side it is loud and if smoke bothers you it can be a problem. read more

It is not fair to compare this place with some other in big cities. This place is in a small town with big diversity of people, so for those one we are not locals, we would love to have a better place and I am sure it is possible if the management will put a bit more effort on it. Need to work in Cleanings, customer services, quality of food and even the atmosphere. I went here again yesterday for lunch. This time I opted for the pork BBQ sandwich. Good bun, tasty sauce, at an affordable price. It was served with chips and a pickle. My particular pickle was the smallest I had ever been served before. When I asked for a new one, the waitress kindly brought me a plate of sliced pickles to make up for it -- they were very tasty! Have you ever received your bill for food before receiving your food? Well that's what happened to me. I arrived to Roma as part of a group. My group ordered pizzas to share and I ordered an individual pizza. There was probably 5 minutes between the orders because I arrived a little late. My group was a group of about 20 people. The group pizzas came out and I debated whether I should eat them or wait to have what I wanted (the chicken Alfredo pizza) after waiting 45 minutes, having half of our group leave, I ate the shared pizzas and asked whether I could cancel my order. The waitress was nice and said, it's just came out of the oven and I'll put it in a To go box then she handed me the bill. I was like...really. I haven't even seen said pizza. I really feel like I should have been able to cancel the pizza or have it comp'd. It was literally 1 hr and 15 minutes to get my pizza. It's a shame that it's still in my hotel fridge without being touched. Likewise, people that I arrived with experienced the same delay and pizza in a box. I feel like this issue was not effectively handled on the customer service side of things because this is the only game in town. I hope that other pizza joints would open up in order to provide an alternative so that Roma's would treat its guests a bit better. I don't know what was going on in the kitchen, but overall it was terrible to not be able to enjoy this time with my comrades because I kept wondering what was going on with my food. I'm disappointed about how this visit to Roma's played out because the food that i did eat was fantastic. The shared group pizza was the a buffalo chicken pizza which I had never tried. I felt like I could not get enough of the flavors. It's a disappointment that I'll have to try the chicken Alfredo pizza fresh out of the microwave. read more

I went once for dining in and did one pick up order. The dine in experience was slow. My food was cold and didn't taste good. I ordered calamari as my appetizer and it came out cold alongside my meal. I wouldn't have ordered an app if it was going to take the same amount of time as my salmon meal (did not enjoy or finish). The pick up order was pizza... I didn't enjoy it. My chicken wings were good so I would recommend wings. Sorry, I've been spoiled by the Mecca of American-Italian food: New Jersey and NYC. This restaurant is a joke to me honestly. First, I had their "pizza" and trust me the air quotes are necessary because it's about the same quality as frozen grocery store "pizza." Second, they're a pizza restaurant that serves Pad Thai and chicken schnitzel?! Personally it makes no sense to serve Italian, Thai and German cuisine at one restaurant, but to call yourself Roma (the Italian name for Rome) and serve it all together is like sacrilegious to the Italian heritage. On top of all this heresy, they serve this dish that they call turnovers and my Nona would be turning over in her grave to see this. Ladies and gentlemen, a turnover is a puff pastry dish usually stuffed with a fruit compote. What Roma's is serving is called a CALZONE. If you go up to the northeast and try ordering a turnover, you're going to get a breakfast dish. These stuffed pizza crusts are known as calzones everywhere else in the US so they should really change the name on the menu. Finally, the "NY Style Crust" is laughable. It was thin crust which is actually a California/west coast type of pizza crust. It's like an insult to NY to call itself NY Style Crust... If you're going to make something and base it off a certain area, maybe you should visit that place and learn how to actually make it first. Unfortunately, this is one of like two pizza places in the area besides Pizza Hut, but you might be better off just going there... otherwise drive to Fredericksburg and visit Benny Vitali's or Castiglia's. read more

This is sort of a standby place for when I'm in the Dahlgren/Colonial Beach area of the NN. It's hard to find bars and restaurants in the area that are open past 9:00. They make a pretty decent pizza and I personally think the Skull'n'Bones burger is amazing, but isn't for everyone (read: insanely spicy). The bartenders have all been really fast and friendly. The owner (or her husband?) is an amiable, down to earth guy. It's a dive bar, which I enjoy, but I keep my drinks straightforward because of that (vodka-single mixer, draft beer). I typically do that anyway, but this is a no frills place, so I wouldn't order anything fancy. There is also some gambling, pool tables and smoking in the back area. All-in-all, solid spot. I love this place! Ate here a few times now. So far we've tried the M.A.N, barbecue, and chicken alfredo pizza, plus the crab dip. Everything has been so tasty. Lots of cheese and meat on every bite! Plus the pizzas are ridiculously cheap. The decor is fun and a little bit quirky. Staff has been always so nice and very attentive. I've never had to wait to order, drinks to be filled, or the bill. Orders from this place for the first time tonight... delivery. Disappointed. We ordered two individual pizzas, a Greek salad and wings. Let's start with the salad.... Greek salad and they forgot the feta cheese. Next the pizza... both pizzas had the toppings slid all the way off and smooshed against the side of the box, we made do but spreading them all back on and managed to eat them. Lastly the wings... inedible. We chose the skull and bones. We've eaten hot wings all over the globe... nothing as terrible as these. I was visiting Dahlgren (from San Diego) and was hungry for Pizza. The restaurant choices are pretty slim. Ordered a pizza from this place and it was one of the worst in my life. Maybe I'm a snob when it comes to pizza, but this is low-quality cheap stuff. Crust too thick (waitress said it was "thin crust" when I ordered). Mushrooms looked and tasted like they were from a can. Asked for bell peppers ... waitress didn't know what they were, so I said "green peppers". "Oh, ok". We went here because the ratings were so good, but we had the chicken parm and the baked spaghetti and were surprised at the low grade ingredients and sauce. The cheese was horrible, the red sauce was tinny in flavor, and the sausage on the spaghetti was actually hamburger and mealy in texture, completely inedible. I HAD to give 1 star, when really it deserves 0 stars.... Found mold on my food last week. When I called they LAUGHED at me. When I told them I didn't find that very nice of them, I told them this could be reported to the Health Department. But all I wanted was to let them know about the mold and maybe get my money back. Found out the woman who laughed at me was an OWNER. Later, the owner's husband came into my place of business (wrong location though) and went off in front of co-workers and customers doing business there. If the mold wasn't enough for me not to go back, then the owner laughing at me was icing on the cake, then the owners husband coming to my place of business to cause a scene DEFINTELY just told me right there that I will never do business with them again, and I certainly will let ALL my friends and family know this as well.
