2pc Fillet, Fries, Fried Small Okra

Was wanting catfish, and after a long morning of youth sports administration, I found this place on Uber Eats. I'm glad that I had not read the reviews first because I would not have ordered. The food was awesome! It was delivered within a timely manner, as well. It was hot and cooked to my specifications with the catfish. The fries were good and hot, and, the fried okra (which is one of my favorite veggies) was fried to perfection!!! It's hard to mess up fried okra, yet, some folks do. Oh and that Cake Daddy Lemon Crunch cake bowl was delish!! I will be ordering more!

    Whole catfish fried

This location is off of Clark and Beltline in Cedar Hill Texas. Do not get it wrong or twisted in the original unfranchised location at Kiest and Hampton in Dallas(Oak Cliff) a neighborhood I grew up in. The inside smelled of fried fish but in a good way. It smelled appealing and appetizing to eat! There are chairs to sit down in as you wait(20 mins or more ) depending on your order. If you are ordering door dash or any type of grubhub to go then add that wait time in your arrival estimated time arrival (e t a ). I ordered a whole catfish and fried shrimp(6pc/half spicy added a dollar for a split order of spice). I was assured by the cashier taking the order that it is farmed raised and not Vietnam swai catfish which do not have the same texture. The texture is soft and mushy in texture to a warm hunger mouth! There were no frying sounds coming from the kitchen! It was quiet in the place! There was no music at all while you wait. I have some travel time of no more than 10 mins if there is no accident or traffic to contend with. The cost of the shrimp with fries was 16 dollars the whole fish fried was 25 dollars a total of approximately 48 dollars. Not worth the drive if more than 10 miles away!!!!! The food did not travel well it was fairly hot but the taste was not there!!!

    It supposed to be SHRIMP

I ordered a large cater size order of catfish and shrimp for a party. The fish was edible, although it was extremely dark, almost like it was cooked in old grease. I also Ordered 25 shrimp and couldn't even tell if they were shrimp or not. They were so hard dark and crumbly. I attempted to pick out the ones that kinda look like shrimp to serve at my party, but they went uneaten. I took a picture of the food that I purchased and called on Sunday, but they were closed to discuss this matter. On Monday when the store was open, I reached out to the manager. The owner/manager. He attempted to resolve the matter by giving me a store credit. From the picture I sent him he literally tried to count the shrimp that was in the box. He said counted anywhere from 15 to 16 and gave me a $35 store credit and drinks. I'm not sure how he counted that if you notice in the picture. In addition, we attempted to salvage some of the crumbly shrimp and put it on a serving dish, but nobody ate it. I do not feel that the owner took him to consideration, the embarrassment and the time I spent coming to his store to purchase 25 shrimp for a party only to get crumble old grease smelling objects or something that didn't even look like shrimp. I appreciate his attempt however there were several people at the party who say will not order from this restaurant due to the quality of their food. Restaurant business can be difficult. That is why it's extremely important to serve quality food and have excellent customer service and encounters with your customers for satisfaction. Food presentation should be a priority as well. I paid 50.00 for crumbly hard old grease smelling objects that was never eaten.

If you know, you know! Catfish Connection in Oak Cliff is legendary! And the same here must I say. Prepare to be wowed in the spicy crunchy great catfish fillets are worth the 20 minute fry time. Cooked to order says it all for me. Seafood is hot and fresh. Served with freshly cut russet shoestring potatoes and jalapeño pepper. I highly recommend call in orders. Unless a fan of sitting in your car while your order is being prepared. I only had the fried catfish. However shrimp were on the menu also. Service was absolutely fabulous! All smiles. Both cash and credit card are accepted methods of payment. Take out service only. No ambiance but delicious fried catfish.

This place is trash. I got the 2 piece catfish dinner. The catfish tasted like it had been reheated and the frys were dry and old. Don't waste your time this place is a bust...

Fish in the metroplex no question. Of course you have to have patience while waiting, but it's worth it for quality food.

The price you pay for this quality of food is a deal. Real catfish, fried hard and real fries. The food is seasoned well.

I'm visiting from Ohio, and they wanted to make sure I experienced this hidden gem. From the outside, it's a quaint little house tucked along Belt Line Road, but the moment you walk through the doors, you're transported to what feels like a beautiful beach hut on a tropical island. The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and unlike anything you'd expect. The food was absolutely phenomenal! We started with the Rockefeller Oysters and the Supreme Shrimp Nachos, and both were incredible. For my entrée, I had the blackened red snapper, and it was one of the freshest pieces of fish I've ever had--it honestly tasted like it had just been caught that morning. The service was just as impressive as the food. Every member of the staff was welcoming, attentive, and genuinely made us feel like family. Five-star service from beginning to end. Whether you're local or just visiting the Dallas area, Lela's Seafood is an experience you don't want to miss. It's the perfect combination of amazing food, outstanding hospitality, and a unique atmosphere. I can't wait to come back the next time I'm in Texas!

I will more than likely return in the future. Hopefully my order wI'll be more seasoned than before.

Called the place back and the young lady said I could return for a remake. Why would I return after waiting 20-25 minutes. She said you can come back later based on me telling her I didn't have time to return. Not an option either. I wanted the food for lunch not dinner. So then I said to myself, try the fish. - to my surprise the fish was just as bad. I just simply don't understand waiting for this amount of time and the food is not piping hot. Called the young lady back and she said it was hot when she presented it to me. No ma'am try someone else. With the amount of time I waited, My food should've been piping hot. Not sitting under a light hot. One thing I don't play about is my time and money and I may not get my time back but I will get my money back. Of course they have a no refund no exchange sign but EYE guarantee you that I'll will get my coins back. People on this side of town think they can continuously serve garbage and there's no recourse.
