I was very happy with the service for the purchase and installation. Unfortunately there are two very disappointing issues that cause me to write this review and strongly suggest to look elsewhere for your carpeting needs. 1. The installation was not done correctly. They did not stretch the carpet enough which resulted in ripples forming in 6 out of 8 rooms (see attached photos). We had an extremely busy couple of years so we didn't call for repair until just recently. But I can't get them on the phone, nor have they returned my calls (4 calls total). I did not ask for it to be restretched under warranty because it's my fault that we waited so long; in other words I did. It give them a reason to avoid my calls. I ended up using Tucson Carpet Repair for that and they did a great job; so far. 2. They assured us that the carpet we chose was perfect for a family of 5 with two dogs. But within two years it was worn down excessively in the high traffic areas. read more

The sales service was very good as was the selection of carpets. The prices are fair. The installation was well done. However, we had an ajoining small hallway where they removed carpet and we're instructed to leave the concrete floor exposed. They did that, but failed to take up the tech strips on the cement and didn't finish the edge of carpet that had been cut off at the closet door. It took numerous phone calls and messages left that were ignored before they finally returned to finish the job. read more

The install crew was on time, moved all the heavy stuff I didn't want to move, did a most excellent job with the install and clean up, and put everything back. This is the quality of craftsmanship you can expect from The Carpet Store. They installed carpet in our house over a year ago. We have had nothing but problems. They have returned numerous times, but still haven't managed to fix anything. We found multiple areas of carpet with missing pad, cracked walls and a broken door. Larry and Patrick even came to our house, assessed the install and told us there was nothing wrong with it. A few weeks later, I peeled back the carpet in the kid's play room to find yet another huge gap in the padding. I also discovered they didn't install the highest quality pad available, which I requested and paid for. After being ghosted for weeks, we are now hiring another company to come in and fix all of the issues, and seeking legal advice in an effort to recover the losses. DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY. After checking out both Home Depot and Lowe's for new carpeting and flooring, upon a recommendation from a friend I dropped into the Carpet Store, and boy, am I glad I did. Larry spent over an hour with me explaining the different choices I could make in carpeting and flooring. They have more carpet and flooring samples than even the big box stores. Right then, I chose my carpeting and vinyl flooring, and the two installers performed their work flawlessly and on time. All done in a single day. Nobody could have done a better job of installing my new carpeting and flooring. Both the carpeting and the flooring look spectacular, just as I envisioned they'd look. I might add that you will also save a significant chunk of money by buying from The Carpet Store as opposed to a big box store. Personal service and flawless installation. Can't be beat. read more

After receiving four quotes from different flooring companies we decided The Carpet Store was the company with which we wanted to do business. The price we felt was fair, if they met their end of the bargain and delivered what they promised. They did just that! I really have to commend the installers. They are courteous, hard working, and considerate. Can't praise these guys enough. I am now a big fan of the "OJ's"! Regarding these ratings, most of them are four and five stars, with the exception of one. I would question this one poor rating as the statements made there do NOT at all reflect the treatment or service we received...totally the opposite. After shopping for carpet for over a month and after visiting four to six carpet stores, we decided on The Carpet Store & More. Their pricing was the best for the carpet we wanted and Larry and his son, Dan, were very professional and knowledgeable. The day of the installation, while the installers were unloading the new carpet and pad, we discovered that the installers had brought the wrong pad. We showed our agreement to Jorge, the man in charge of the installation. He acknowledged the error and went back to the store for the correct pad. All went well after that. The installation is grade A+. The installers very professional, carting away any debris, and were done very quickly. Overall we would rate the experience a 5 except for the problem with the pad. read more

We went to carpet store and more in Tucson AZ, in the month of December 2022. We were greeted by Larry the owner, and after speaking with him, found out he had sold the business and retiring. So we met with the new owner, and he made us a fair price, however no breakdown on products, and such, just a total price. They showed up on time, and got to work. Josh the new owner informed us that we might want to hire a company, to clean when they are finished???? This is our sixth home we have purchased and NEVER were told to clean up our self. In all fairness I was warned. Took 5 full days for us to clean up the home. They took up the tile, ground the concrete, and ran the heater the entire time. Had to have the ac unit serviced and ducts cleaned. Again I was warned. We have several issues needed repair, and Josh set up a time for his Crew manager to come look at the home.. No appointments ever made. So we had decided to do the repairs our self. We had carpet installed and not the quality we were looking for, so we are going to have replaced by a different company. read more

Had a horrible experience. Carpet quality was cheap and installation left visible seams. After on year of very little traffic the carpet looked old and worn out. I have tried repeatedly to get this resolved and have finally given up. Customer satisfaction is not a top priority. Very disappointed. read more

From start to finish working with Larry and Dan were horrible!! After paying for carpet and setting up an install date the carpet was never even ordered. Not only did Larry not order the carpet one time but two. I had all my furniture stacked in the living room waiting for Larry to do his job for 2 months. We were very happy with this company. The prices , variety and selection were the best. Price included carpet, pad, removing old carpet and pad, cleaning floor and moving furniture. One price covered all of this. Waiting for carpet once ordered only took a week, and scheduling for installation was only 2 days. Installation crew was the absolute best! The salesperson working here was incredibly rude to us and had no problem letting me know I wasn't welcome in the store, even though I was a paying customer and was there giving them repeat business. However, I liked the store and wanted to support this "locally owned mom and pop family business" instead of the big box stores and thought the owner was a good person, so I finally told him about how I'd been treated, thinking he would do something about the issue. He didn't. He didn't even apologize for his salesperson's rudeness, but rather excused his bad behavior. There was NO apology from the owner for the rudeness of his salesperson's behavior. In fact, the owner didn't even seem to feel bad about the way I'd been treated in his store. So I won't be shopping here again-- which should be fine with the people at The Carpet Store since they apparently didn't want me in there anyway. I'm so disappointed in the owner's lack of response to the issue. I really did like this store and would have loved to continue to shop here but can't support it due to the horrible rudeness I experienced here. read more

Very knowledgable and better service than the big box stores. They helped us find the right carpet for our household (2 dogs and 2 cats). We had bad luck with stainmaster products but they had a new carpet that was put in a zoo for weeks of abuse and cleaned right up. We've had it for almost a year and it's fantastic. We had one minor issue with installation - but they addressed the problem and fixed it and stood behind their work. I won't go anywhere else now when I need carpet - the prices are good, the service is top notch. read more

Please read all the reviews, including this one. We met with Larry, the owner of The Carpet Store, twice. We brought him a sample of an area rug that is larger than our room and he said his installers could cut the rug and lay it over a mat using tack strips. When the installers arrived, Patrick said he could not use tack strips and would have to use double-sided sticky tape! And then he said he would have to cut the mat several inches shorter than the room and lay the rug over it so the rug would stick! We were shocked and dismayed. Then Patrick said, "Don't you trust me?" Why would we? But we were in a bind as we needed to finish the room so we had the rug taped to the floor. It is a very unsatisfactory solution as the rug drops about an inch from the entry to the room and along the perimeter. Also, the two sides of the rug that were cut are frayed against the wall. If we had known this ahead of time, we would have never bought an area rug but Larry assured us and we believed him. I have tried to call Larry each day since the installation and he did return my call once but I wasn't available so we haven't spoken yet. There were other issues with communication, which was very poor. We never knew what day the install would take place, so we had to hang around for over a week waiting. I would call each day and Patrick would say he wouldn't know until he got his schedule the next day from Dan, Larry's son. When I called Dan, he said he didn't know Patrick's schedule! Great experience at The Carpet Store & More! I went to several flooring stores to shop for our luxury vinyl planks. I found a product here (Engage Genesis 2000 LVP in Acacia Koa) that was beautiful, high quality, and didn't break the bank. I found this product at two stores but The Carpet Store & More was competitive with their prices and beat the other store (a significant amount!!). Dan was attentive, friendly, down to earth, and knowledgeable. Great customer service, beautiful product and best price I found! Wish I could give them more than 5 stars! read more

We had a fantastic experience. We met Larry at the store and he guided us to several samples that fit the description of what we wanted. We were putting new carpeting in our living room and 3 bedrooms. We took the samples home to see what worked best. Larry came the next day to measure everything. We set a date 4 weeks out that was convenient for me to have the carpet installed. Patrick and his associate installed the carpet today as scheduled and they were wonderful to work with. They moved all the furniture (I had moved all the small things and unplugged everything from the walls.) They worked diligently all day and cleaned everything up, sweeping and vacuuming. They took every scrap of the old carpet away. My new carpets look great. I had a wonderful experience with Patrick and his associate and would highly recommend them to anyone. read more

Undependable - Guarantee is useless. 5 months ago did a lot of carpet and tile work. Some of the carpet seams are coming up/apart/showing. First call to Larry, he said he would pull paperwork and call me back. Never did, I have left 6 messages with his receptionist, but he will not call back. Finally got him and he set up a date and time to come and inspect them . . . . NEVER SHOWED, no call no anything. And, won't answer calls since them. What a sham . . . do not use them. Did call DreamWeavers Carpet in Georgia. Larry never filed a complaint so the past year has been fruitless due to Larry's incompetence. I came into the store after work one evening after purchasing a new house that needed carpet. I was immediately acknowledged and was told I would be helped shortly as there were other customers in the store. I was soon helped and I let the salesperson know I needed new carpet to be installed next week before my moving truck arrived. He showed me the options available on such short notice. I was able to take as many board samples as I wanted home to show my husband. We also scheduled for my home to be measured that Saturday and I was given an exact price. He even took the boards back to the showroom with him so I did not have to return them. I was not there the day of delivery and my mother in law let them in. I was very pleased with the product, quality of the install, and cleanup afterwards. They happily did all this for me and the job was complete prior to the moving truck arrival. I went in to the Carpet Store simply because it was in my neighborhood and I wanted to price compare them to the "big guys" (Lowes, Home Depot). The selection at the Carpet Store was not as big and pretty basic. However, they found some nice carpets within our budget. They even brought the samples to the house when they measured. Their price came in about the same as the Big Box stores (about $450 for a medium sized bedroom). Here's where it get's good: at the Carpet Store, their price is all inclusive. No upcharges for carpet pad, or moving furniture, or hauling away the old carpet! So, indeed you are getting a better deal with this "little guy". The sales guy was nice, the carpet installers were nice, and the carpet is really quite beautiful. Only downside is there is not much in stock, so expect 3 weeks or so from when you order to when it's installed. Now that one room is done, I need to save up for the other bedrooms! read more

The Carpet Store saved us from a big 800 number store. They offered beautiful quality carpet, vinyl and service. The installers were the best. We had carpeting installed in two rooms and the vinyl in three rooms and the hall. High quality pad was put on the floor for the carpet. It looks and feels soft and lush. For three contiguous rooms and hallway not one seam was created. All vinyl was caulked to the walls. Superb work and product. We recommend them highly. read more

I should have taken this company to court. Never use them. They hired a pretend flooring guy and sent him to my house to install over $6,000 worth of laminate. The guy used my furniture as a workbench, used his saw in my house, and took six days to not even finish the job before I could take no more. He did not know he had to install underlay, never prepped the floor and until this day the floor creaks when walking on trapped dirt etc. There are places where the laminate is chipped and not able to 'breathe' since the guy was clueless and the door transitions were all installed backwards. The caulking was wiped all over my curtains and paintwork, and the mess left behind was heartbreaking. They also installed tile in my bathroom which had to be replaced (despite multiple complaints and eye rolls from the owners) because it all cracked. Larry my do all his own estimates but he is nowhere to be found when it is discovered that their installer is a hoax with no prior experience. The carpet store re-painted over the damage and spent two days trying to fix the work eventually but when I kept calling to tell them there were obvious problems they wouldn't listen. A lot of this could have been prevented if they would have taken my calls. I was just another problem customer they don't want to hear from once you have paid. They offered me a slight discount based on all my inconvenience but I wish to this day I had pursued this further so that no other family falls victim to Larry and his team of 'Who Cares?' Employees. The only time they care is when they are taking your money. Still living with crunchy, lumpy laminate and telling everyone who installed it. Go to the box store. They don't hire flooring people who have never installed flooring and then send them to your house. I do have pictures to back up my story and hope you choose another company for your flooring. Anyone else would be better. They only care about money and not the quality of their work. read more

Sure Larry the owner of the Carpet Store was the nicest guy when we purchased carpeting and laminate flooring for our home. But later on he showed his true face.The carpeting crew did a good job but the floor install on the other hand was not good. Right after the install the seams didn't seem flush. oh well we thought that's the way it is. Come to find out its called peaking. This is happening along the sides and edges. We have been told that the Tarkett brand of laminated flooring was installed improperly by their people. One month after install they had to replace two large sections. Now a couple of years later , more of the same. Now they say we damaged it with water. This is not true. We called several times and no one would call back. They got their money and that's all that matters it seems. The Carpet Store just seems to have written us off....We are so bummed. So much for the BBB A+ rating... :( Shop else where... read more
