Pan-Fried Calamari with Hot Cherry Peppers

The filet app is not consistent t in size, table next to me had one much thicker. Food was Ok, service was slower than expected- happy hour is always a hit in Chevy Chase, so not sure why it was so slow.

This restaurant is located on the border of Maryland and Washington, DC, at the intersection of Wisconsin and Western Avenue. I've been to The Capital Grille in Scottsdale, and the menu and flavors here are very similar. However, the decor at this location really stands out--it has a sense of history and a museum-like feel, almost like a collection of national treasures. I especially loved the bronze statues throughout the space. I ordered the oysters for lunch, and they were an excellent choice--fresh, briny, and very refreshing. Service is a little bit disappointed, everything takes a little a bit long to come up.

This self-proclaimed "upscale chophouse" restaurant chain has NEVER disappointed me. The SERVICE is impeccable and the food is just perfect. IYKYK. Sunday, 12/21/25 was a planned Christmas dinner with my grown children before they scatter off in different directions (with their significant others) for the holidays. BEST choice for our family dinner. We're not newbies but every visit is a treat and an honor for us. From the prosciutto wrapped mozzarella to the butternut squash bisque to the PERFECTLY seasoned/seared filet mignon to the coconut cream pie and EVERY other starter, entree, dessert and cocktail enjoyed this evening is the reason why we remain faithful, repeat patrons. This location (Bethesda) is more vintage/traditionally decorated than the others. Personally, I prefer the aesthetics of the McLean, VA location but grateful to dine in any of them! Enjoy the pics. May your mouth water and stomach growl profusely and quickly entice you to visit any one of the locations in the DMV. When you do, share your thoughts and tell them you saw it on Yelp.

We had the best waitress! If possible ask for Makayla when you visit the Capital Grille. The steaks were delicious and cooked perfectly! We ordered Bone In Ribeyes and sides Calamari, Mash Potatoes, Corn, Brussel Sprouts, Creamed Spinach and Cup of Chowder. Overall the sides were good but just average. The Calamari had too many peppers and was not crispy. The New England Chowder was good. Also, the bread was fresh and delicious. Cocktails were great! We had Espresso Martinis, Margaritas and Moscato. The atmosphere was very nice and festive for the holidays or special occasion!! Parking is very convenient. They usually give a 2 Hour Complimentary parking pass but that may be subject to change. Business will definitely increase since the Cheesecake Factory is closing in Friendship Heights.

Always a pleasant experience here! The lobster bisque is rich and creamy and the lamb lollipops are tender and juicy, perfect afternoon snack. Excellent service and consistently good food!

At Capital Grille, you know what to expect. The portions are a good size and the price isn't too over the top. I had the sea bass this time around and although I typically get a steak, it was a nice piece of fish with a yummy sauce. We had a baby at the table this time around and no one seemed to mind so while it cab have an upscale feel, it's still family friendly.

Capital Grille is a fantastic steakhouse with superb service. We had Alexander, I believe that was his name, and was he great. Attentive, very knowledgeable and made our youngsters laugh a bit. I asked for him the second time i was there a week or two later. The lobster and crab cake is a good starter and can share this with another person. Wasn't expecting much lobster, but there was! Their shellfish platter to start sets the mood for a great dinner to be had. You come here to get steak and does not disappoint. The kona crusted ny strip had a great char and so juicy inside. Great sauce. The star though was this porcini ribeye. Such great flavor. I highly recommend this ribeye. The sides were okay, being mashed potatoes, spinach with garlic, and mushrooms. For desserts, the chocolate cake was a standout. The lava cake was a snooze, and their coconut cake was good too. The atmosphere is old school country club style, with lots of wood, carpet, making it easy to converse with your table mates. They got rid of their valet parking but it's kind of a waste since you can park anywhere in the vast parking garage. Good place for private parties too. They have two or three rooms to rent and we used this two times for small family birthday parties.

Mariana set the tone with her warm welcome, and the service from start to finish was nothing short of impeccable. Noe, our server, quite literally never left our table the entire visit -- which was both incredibly attentive and honestly a little funny. Drinks were refilled before we even realized, plates cleared seamlessly, and recommendations were spot on. The food was outstanding, cooked to perfection, and beautifully presented. What stood out most was how the staff elevated the experience while still keeping it comfortable and enjoyable. Overall, a 5/5 visit that I'd recommend to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience.

Birthday dessert- I think it was tiramisu and crem brûlée

We splurged for a birthday date night and another time to take out my mother in law! I don't remember our waiters name but he was a tall older man who works the top floor section near the stairs and he took care of us both times! He was really kind and provided great service. I ordered the Waygu steak which was a special for that day and it was sooo delicious and tender. My husband really enjoyed his ribeye and my mother in law has the Cod which she loved. On my birthday I ordered the scallops which was perfect. And the dessert they served me along with the surprise table decorations was all perfect! Thank you capital grille, we will be back soon!

This restaurant is always delicious and wonderful, I love eating the salads here because there's always a gigantic portion size, and it was absolutely delicious! The steak was really nicely cooked, and we got it added to both our salads for a little extra but it was worth it. Calamari was so crisp and came with pickled peppers, which were so nice. Waiter was courteous and kind as always and we had a great time at this very fancy, nice restaurant! Great spot to catch up with friends.

Lovely wine bar in Cleveland Park!…read more We dined in on a Friday night with a party of six. They had seated us in the front window, but the sun was really shining so they were very accommodating, and helped to move our table into a shadier spot. We started with a round of cocktails and appetizers. My husband enjoyed the apricot Manhattan and I tried the Key West daiquiri. The lavender and pea cocktail was also very refreshing. The hummus platter featured four different hummus's. The harissa was our favorite. The Burratta salad and tart flambe was nice to share. We proceeded with ordering three bottles of wine and a few entrees. The petite fillet was delicious. The spring gnocchi was flavorful and the chicken Milanese was a nice portion. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out a slice of Dulce de Leche cheesecake with a candle! Service was very nice. Clean bathrooms and short walk to Cleveland Park Metro.

Little Blackbird is phenomenal!…read more I've been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Great service from super friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. A large wine list that they know back to front and can recommend wines from based on your food choices and personal tastes. An elegant but not ostentatious interior. But first and foremost, incredible food. There have been a few items I was unsure of when reading the descriptions, but I have always been blown away by the thoughtfulness and balance that comes with each or their dishes. Of note, their seared scallops that came with a savory and sweet white chocolate sauce were one of my favorite dishes of 2025. Not to mention, the prices here are reasonable and not unnecessarily inflated like other places that market themselves as wine bars. I hope the success here signals a shift in the wine bar model toward unpretentious but thoughtfully designed dishes for a reasonable price. Overall, Little Blackbird is an incredible restaurant that I think deserves more recognition. I will certainly be back soon.

It was a lovely way to spend the afternoon, and overall we had a pleasant experience. My mom enjoyed an Arnold Palmer, while I ordered the Saint Tropez Spritz, a refreshing blend of elderflower, limonata, and mint that was perfect for brunch. We each started with a comforting bowl of Onion Soup Au Gratinée, topped with a generous layer of melted Jarlsberg cheese. For the table, we shared the Pot of Mussels Marinière, prepared with leeks, onions, garlic, white wine, and herb butter, along with the Escargots de Bourgogne, which were rich, buttery, and packed with garlic herb flavor. My parents also shared a Caesar Salad, but unfortunately they couldn't enjoy the Caesar dressing because it contains chili oil. It would be wonderful if the restaurant offered a traditional Caesar dressing without chili oil for guests with dietary restrictions or sensitivities. I ordered the Ahi Tuna Niçoise Salad and made sure to communicate my food allergies and pepper sensitivity before ordering. Unfortunately, the tuna arrived blackened and was much too spicy for me. Thankfully, our server handled the situation professionally and had the kitchen replace the tuna with salmon, which I appreciated. The food quality was generally very good, and the staff was accommodating once the mistake was brought to their attention. My only suggestion is to improve allergy awareness in the kitchen and consider offering a non-spicy Caesar dressing option. Those changes would make the dining experience much more enjoyable for guests with food sensitivities.

She slammed my glass down on the bar after taking my order, which felt aggressive and unprofessional. Throughout the entire evening, her attitude toward me was cold and dismissive, and she treated me as if I were a nuisance instead of a paying customer. Customer service was essentially nonexistent. Everyone deserves to be treated with basic respect, regardless of the situation, and unfortunately that was not my experience. I hope management addresses this behavior so future customers receive the courteous service they deserve. What made the experience even worse was that we reported the incident to the manager and another bartender, but it seemed like our complaint didn't matter. Nothing was done to address the situation, and no one appeared concerned about how we had been treated. Customer service was nonexistent. I expect to be treated with basic courtesy and respect when visiting an establishment, and unfortunately that did not happen. I hope management takes customer complaints more seriously and ensures this kind of behavior is not repeated.
