Fantastic breakfast of New York steak and eggs with mimosa while watching polo with family

Inside seating (though we requested outdoors)

This place is terrible and customer service is nonexistent. First of all, we were celebrating a birthday and requested outdoor seating. A polo game was going on, people were occupying the tables, and nobody wanted to get up... so they told us our table wasn't available and we'd have to sit inside. Apparently, actually holding our table wasn't an option, much less telling all the people who were sitting on the patio not ordering anything to get up and move. So we sat down inside anyway because we were hungry and they immediately asked us if we were ready to order. Someone in our party ordered an appetizer, and then we mentioned we wanted separate tabs... at this, the server got a bad attitude and basically tried telling us she couldn't (or just didn't want to) because of the policy at the bottom of the menu, which was a mandatory 20% tip policy for parties of 8+. I understand why places do this, but we were the only people there actually ordering. Regardless, the attitude was ridiculous. Then we asked for a little time to look at the menu, and were pretty much ignored for the next 15-20 minutes. I can't comment on the rest of the menu because that was about as far as we got, so we paid for the appetizer and decided to eat elsewhere. BTW: $12 for a small cup of steamed broccoli with a splash of buffalo sauce? Well, that's all they made off of us because they lost our business. And hopefully yours, too. Don't eat here.

Well... one of my comfort spots... horses fresh air dogs and Maricela... lovely server made our afternoon... as a former restaurant owner for over 45 years I can say she is a great asset to this long time establishment... thank you...

Empire Polo Grounds! Aka where Coachella & Stagecoach happen.

Totally forgot to post my review on yelp for this place, but see my Google review as well! This restaurant is oh so good! Me and my boyfriend have made it a tradition to come here for our anniversary. Food and service is always a 10/10. We always order the tres amigos which come with queso, salsa & guac (the queso is so good, trust me). The sunset and ambiance on the polo grounds was phenomenal. The margaritas here just hit different compared to anywhere else in the valley. Overall, thank you guys for making our day special. S/o to Giselle for being such a great server to us!!!

Great place to visit on your way home or while in Coachella. Great customer service and they allow pets. Felt very welcomed from the moment we got there till the moment we left.

Beautiful view! TBH I don't remember how the food was but the polo grounds are stunning! During our lunch we saw people riding their horses on the field. I do remember the service being very quick!

We didn't have reservations and requested to be seated inside. There was a little awkward first impression with the hostess who told us that there was only one inside table left in the back corner. She didn't come across very friendly when we asked if we could see it before deciding if we wanted to sit there or not. I understand they were busy but she was a bit short with us. We were seated in Isabel's section and she more than made up for it. What a gem! She was so friendly and very nice. She made sure to check on us often and we had a lovely time at your restaurant because of her. We are giving this review 5 stars because of Isabel. The seared ahi tuna salad and the ahi tuna nachos were both delicious. The fish was fresh and so very tender with a light dressing. The pulled pork tacos were good too. The brownie dessert was a bit dry though.

Instead, she bit into a sharp chicken bone hidden in the salad--something that absolutely should never happen. This wasn't a small, soft fragment either; it was sharp enough to cause immediate, severe pain and pierced her gums. This is not just a minor oversight--it's a major failure in basic food safety and kitchen preparation. There is no excuse for serving food in this condition, especially something as simple as a salad. We trusted this restaurant to provide a safe meal, and that trust was completely broken. What makes this even worse is that the situation could have been far more dangerous. If swallowed, this could have led to choking or internal injury. No customer should ever have to worry about that when ordering a salad. I strongly urge the restaurant to take a hard look at their food prep standards and quality control, because this is unacceptable. Until then, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

The menu might be considered small however plenty of excellent choices for everyone's palate. We started with martinis Aviation gin for me & Ketel 1 for my hubs complete with bleu cheeses olives served tall & verrry cold. Our appetizer choice, the deep fried artichokes served with a creamy tasty aioli nicely presented however a bit over salted for our tastes, hence the 4.5 vs 5 stars. We came in to Italica wanting pasta the Bolognese with wild boar/fennel sausage arrived practically overflowing from the bowl, easily could have served 2 or possibly an appetizer to share at the table. My choice the Spaghetti Alio Olio presented bucatini pasta with bread crumbs & pecorino cheese ~ OOOOH MY, sooooo DELICIOUS my bowl was inhaled. Mid meal we ordered the prosciutto ~ fig jam flatbread just perfection the jam adding sweetness in every crunchy bite. To full from our appetizer & pasta we skipped dessert this trip but we'll be back!!!!!! as the drive to Indio from Palm Desert is maybe 30 min (+\~) easy & plentiful FREE PARKING be sure to look for the all stainless patchwork door for entry, once inside relax & enjoy the vibe.

The drinks were fantastic, reasonably priced, and generously poured. In fact, days later we were still talking about how good the drinks were and how much fun we had. We ended up ordering some food while we were there, and the fries were amazing. Sometimes bar food can be an afterthought, but that definitely wasn't the case here. The KDJ did an outstanding job keeping the energy up and making everyone feel welcome. The bartenders were friendly, attentive, and helped create a great atmosphere throughout the evening. Another thing worth mentioning is that the bathrooms were clean, which is always appreciated and says a lot about how a place is maintained. Most importantly, every single person in our group had a great time. It's not often that six people all walk away from a night out completely happy, but that's exactly what happened. If you're looking for a fun karaoke spot with great drinks, good food, and a welcoming atmosphere, Neil's Lounge is definitely worth checking out. We can't wait to come back!

Sugar Snap Pea pizza: unexpected flavors with snap peas, mushrooms, & stracciatella. Table was divided on whether this worked. Cacio e Pepe: this version uses bucatini and is a little creamier than the classic. I ate it all regardless. Grilled Avocado: the name ignores that it includes fried artichokes as well.
