The previous time was an experience I will never forget because I had the best Prime Rib experience of my life. This time however was a complete opposite. First, after the salad; which was nothing to write home about, we sat at least for 30 minutes waiting for our Prime Rib, and was then told by our waiter that our order had been "lost". So now we sat for an additional 15-20 minutes until our Prime Rib's appeared. And let me tell you, it wasn't worth waiting for, whatsoever. I had asked for an end-cut medium rare and what I got was more well done than rare. Anyway, I remembered how it previously had melted in my mouth, this time it was pretty tough, not what I was expecting. So, a very disappointing time was had.

I debated between shrimp and oysters and the buffet. I chose the buffet because the menu indicated there was lots of different seafood the buffet and I was hoping for some vegetables too. Big mistake. There was no oysters, no scallops and only one vegetable, green beans. There was a small salad bar, so I did have some of that. The best thing was the fried shrimp and the shrimp in the shrimp boil. The deviled crab was not good.Sigh, I paid a huge amount of money and was so disappointed. The interior has not been updated at all, which was a surprise as popular as it is. Learned a hard lesson....look at the buffet before you order it. Unfortunately there has been a significant decline in the quality of the food particularly the shrimp and crab cakes. The shrimp breading has been changed to a thicker tasteless muck from the crisp light breading similar to that found down the road at B&Js Steak and Shrimp. The exterior and signage suggest an upscale dining experience. Unfortunately, once inside, that…read moreimpression quickly fades. The atmosphere feels more like a slightly upgraded Denny's than a restaurant aspiring to anything particularly sophisticated. The service was strangely awkward throughout -- nothing overtly terrible, just an uncomfortable lack of polish and experience that weighed heavily on the meal. For an Italian-style establishment, vegetarian options were surprisingly meager. Diners seeking meatless options simply don't have much from which to choose. Even the tomato bisque was made with meat. The Fettuccine Alfredo was underwhelming. Alfredo should be rich, creamy, and deeply satisfying; this version lacked the depth and richness that make the dish worth ordering. What makes all of this particularly disappointing is the disconnect between the restaurant's presentation and the actual experience. The exterior suggests something elevated, but the food, selection, and service simply don't deliver. Ultimately, if the quality of the meal, the variety of choices, and the service are all surpassed by what you can get at Olive Garden, that's probably a pretty good indication that the restaurant needs to take a hard look at what it's trying to be, and what it's actually delivering.
