What a great show, Disney's High School Musical. I went with my daughter, a girlfriend and her daughter and it couldn't have been more fun. The food was great an of course the service and attention to detail was perfect. My friend has food allergies and they worked very hard to accommodate her. We had great seats and the actors did a wonderful job of singing ,dancing and acting. If you haven't been to this venue.....stop what you're doing and check it out.

Great place for date night, girls night or even a work party. The cast is great and the service is wonderful. We have returned several times.

Had a really great date night here. White Christmas is my favorite Christmas movie so my husband bought tickets for this ages ago. I feel like dinner theater has gone out of style as we were some of the youngest people there (both nearing 40) but I had a great time. If you're looking for a different thing to try I would suggest you give this a shot! Food was pretty good. Honestly my expectations are not super high when they have to mass prepare for 300 people but the steak was cooked correctly. Drinks were strong (3 drink limit). Your server might even been in the cast!

We went yesterday for the matinee of Nunsense. It was my first time to the playhouse, and to dinner theater in general. The drive up from Denver is easy - all I-25. Parking was very easy, especially since we arrived early. We went in as soon as doors opened and discovered a cozy interior. Two fireplaces across from one another, although only one was burning. Restrooms were adjacent to the main area, with plenty of stalls. We arrived with plenty of time to socialize, check in, and figure out seating. We had a larger group (16), spread out in several different sections (we didn't go through group sales). We walked up the steps, and were directed to someone who led us to our seats. My friend and I were at a split table, meaning we were seated with people who were not with our group. They were season ticket holders, and filled us in on how everything works. They were lovey, and fun to talk with over lunch and during intermission. The ticket price included several nice sounding meal options, all of which my table mates ordered from. I'm gluten free and called ahead to confirm they could accommodate me. There were a couple of GF options from the included menu, and several more from the premium meal options. I was in the mood for something hearty, so I ordered the prime rib from the premium menu, medium rare. My meal was excellent, especially paired with the bottle of Malbec (my friend and I split it). We skipped dessert, but I had coffee (served during intermission). The playhouse was very comfortable, and I enjoyed watching the musical from our seats. The actors were also servers, and it was hysterical having Mother Superior check in on us during intermission. Great acting, and a truly playful cast. I was originally going to give 4 stars because Nunsense wasn't my favorite, but decided I am reviewing the theater and my experience there was fantastic. 5 stars!

STEPH JUDGEMENT: Fun for special movie outings…read more We came to see Guillermo Del Toro's "Frankenstein" with our friends and it did not disappoint. We've been to the downtown LA one a couple of times and the drill was the same: You start by scanning the QR code and making the initial order, then during the movie you write down your order on the provided pad and pressing the service call button. You have 20 minutes after the movie ends to settle up your bill; after that they will close it out for you with 20% gratuity. We ordered: - Spicy ranch popcorn (spicy! It's a dry powder so I should've gotten some light butter on it to hold the powder to the popcorn--we kept accidentally inhaling it, doh) - Churro crunch popcorn (not too sweet, with slight salty notes that gave it a really nice touch) - Vegan cauliflower bites with celery and fries (the gochujang sauce was a little too sweet and the fries were limp--just meh) - I got a Pilsner, hubby got an IPA The food was just ok but the service and atmosphere were great. The seats weren't THE most comfortable recliners, as they didn't recline quite as much as the AMC chairs we were used to, but they were fine. One of the best things at these theaters is the 15-20 minute montage they show before the movie that's related to the feature--worth getting there early for. Some of the clips they included were really obscure and funny, like the one from the 1960s where Frankenstein goes to college and becomes a party animal, lol.

I agree with everyone here regarding the QR Code ordering! The preshow entertainment is one of the…read morebest things about this place, but you can't even enjoy it because you're on your phone trying to order food. They should at the very least have either an option to still order on paper, or an order a head option so that you can just order everything before you get there. AMC and Harkins even do that... You can say what time you wanna pick it up and then you can just pick it up on your way in. Since there's no human interaction anyway they might as well just let us do that. I also felt bad for the server because I didn't feel like he deserved what I would normally tip on the bill, but it's not his fault and I'm not sure how they're getting paid. It's not really fair to the workers either. So I tipped low on the app and then I felt bad so I gave him an extra money on my way out. The whole thing just really sucks.

Clues were given out by using our phone to scan the barcode as the mystery progressed. Each table discussed clues and also people could wander to other tables to provide theories of who done it. Only 1 person guessed correctly. My partner and I had handed our photos in as requested. Imagine my surprise when both of us were picked to participate! I was suspect #1 and my partner was "interrogated " by the detectives but it was all in good fun and we took it in stride. The audience were awesome and the actors/staff were very organized and easily flowed with improv (we didn't have scripts). The Embassy Hotel was classy and the perfect setting for the show. We used the hotel valet parking garage for easy access. There was a pre choice of meals (chicken, pork, and vegetarian). Our chicken and pork were good but lukewarm. We ate salad and had cake for dessert. A cash bar was available. We each got a complimentary shot glass, "shots fired" because we did reviews. If you're looking for a interesting night out, go check this out!

That's fine, but as others have commented, the staff automatically gets tipped 18% and there is a two drink or two item minimum. My advice is to eat somewhere else (there are plenty of options in walking distance) and then get the two drink items. Our server never even came by to check on the food. She even walked away when my friend was still ordering. And then they forgot to add something to my order and I asked her about it and she said it didn't come with it. I looked at the menu and it did. I ended up having to get another server to get it. The lady never came by to clear our table. In actuality, no one came by to clear it from dirty plates and I had to flag people down to get it cleared. So if you're reading this, do your self a favor and get food at a real restaurant and then go to the show. Don't expect much from the service or food and just go for the comedy. If I go back, I'll probably just get two waters and call it.
