We came in on a Tuesday night at 5:30. The parking lot was already half full, that alone surprised me, as they were the only open business. The ambiance still has a 70's feel to it, but so what? Linens on the tables and comfortable seating, we got off to a good start. Ordered a glass of the house cab which wasn't half bad. Started with a side salad that was reasonably good, but nothing over the top. Our server brought bread to the table, but no butter until we asked. The bread was very good. Not sure if they make it in-house, but it was warm. Took a while to get our entrees. When they landed on the table, they were luke warm at best. Ordered both a chicken parm and an eggplant parm, as well as an Italian sausage on the side. The sausage was cold. The advertised linguine pasta morphed into spaghetti and the red sauce, though tasty, was sparse. Both parmesans were outstanding. Crispy, somewhat cheesy, and warmer than anything else on the table. It was clear to me that the mediocre service wasn't the fault of our server. She was hustling, just overwhelmed with the number of tables. When she brought our check, she apologized without prompting, which moved this review up from 3 to 4 stars. I will come back, but a little bit earlier in the day to beat the crowd, and will ask for a side of marinara. I'm expecting a much better experience.
