Tried our luck at the Seminole Casino Coconut Creek one night and stopped in at The Bol for dinner. Nice Vietnamese Chinese fusion restaurant that's cutely decorated and with open floor seating and bar seating areas with the casino 20 feet away! Food looked good prepared but not as good as it looked. Many traditional Vietnamese and Chinese dishes served, but not close to authentically tasting. We had the General Tao's chicken which I personally think I've had better with an order of take out before. As for the pho noodle soup, broth was bland and seems like it was simple beef broth used from a can as it was missing lots of the depth of flavors and herbs like a real traditional pho broth should be. Both dishes tasted more commercialized than authentic. However service was fast and our waiter brought the food out timely despite being a busy night. read more

This is a Vietnamese-Chinese fusion restaurant located in the Seminole Casinos. This one located in Coconut Creek. Service was fast despite being so busy. We ordered Beef Pho and General Chicken. Both were ok we had better. Waiter forgot to bring chopsticks we had to ask for them. We were seated in a corner on a high top. Not the best spot but glad we were able to have a quick bite to eat and fast. Nice Modern Asian aesthetic with warm amber lighting. Started with pork fried dumplings which were actually very very good, but 4 for $17 seemed really overpriced. 3 veggie spring rolls were fine, nothing exceptional , also very overpriced. Had a pad Thai which was good and an orange chicken which was just fine, sauce kind of thick and heavy, but tasty. That good and one soda was $85. Plus tip. It was all ok, perfectly fine. Worth $100? I used to rave about this place. For years, it was the go-to spot in the area for great food -- especially their fried rice, which was unmatched in flavor, portion size, and quality. It had that perfect balance of seasoning and freshness that kept me (and many others) coming back.Unfortunately, those days are long gone! the food has taken a noticeable downturn. The fried rice once their signature standout is now bland, and lacking the balance and freshness it once had. When I asked about the change, the waiter confirmed that they now have a new chef. Decent americanized fusion asian food you could expect to find at a Casino not in the state of Nevada... Kind of wish we went to the deli option across the way, but I went to the casino with family and they picked this spot. It's a nice decor and friendly staff, we ordered pretty much everything on the menu or so it felt. The lo mien and stir fried shrimp tasted very salty and the wonton soup dumplings were good, but the broth just okay. Spare ribs tasted really bad quality meat and the egg rolls were big but not really that flavorful. The fried rice was decent and the general tso's chicken was pretty good, but the Vietnamese chicken dish tasted like chicken jerky. Lastly worth mentioning is the dumplings which the filling tasted good, but the dumpling itself was just eh. Not an awful spot but not sure I would return unless I had no other options. read more

Every time I've come here this comes out perfect. Very large portion. 5/5 ($21.00) General Tso's Chicken - WOW. The best I have ever had. Most places I've tried this at tastes great, but the chicken is so fatty and there's usually way more breading than there is chicken. This is ALL white meat chicken, lightly breaded and coated with the delicious sauce. These are a must try. Comes with a side of rice. 5/5 ($20.00) I've also tried the Shrimp Lo Mein, which is great 4.5/5 ($19.00) and the Coconut Shrimp, they were okay. I'd probably skip in the future. 2.5/5 ($13.00). This place is a hidden gem. They're open til 1 am weekdays and 2 am weekends... I can't think of a better place to go to for a late meal. Their food always tastes fresh and they offer very generous portions and good service. I usually come with a few friends or family and we all share a few entrees. We grabbed a bite to eat at The Bol in the casino in Coconut Creek. Eating at the counter or bar you get the hustle and bustle of the casino but it's easy to tune out. There are some tables in the back that seem quieter. Although it was busy, the hostess found a spot for us very quickly. The waitress was very nice and gave me suggestions when I asked. The Singapore mei noodles were soooo good! If you like curry that has the perfect amount of spice with a mixture of veggies and meats this is for you! The beef lo mein was enjoyable. The appetizer ribs were amazing! I look forward to trying some of the other dishes next time as the menu has a lot of delicious sounding options. The food was bland and expensive for what we got. $13 for the Vietnamese egg rolls that seemed like a frozen egg roll that was deep fried was not good. Tonight, I ordered the Pho chicken with shredded vegetables, an order of pork dumplings and an order of orange chicken, which I'll have a little of tonight, but it's really meant for lunch tomorrow! The pork dumplings were heaven in a light puff pastry, side of shredded carrots and a soy dipping sauce. The Pho is an entire meal in itself. There's no reason to order an appetizer or another dish if one orders the Pho. The bowl was huge and filled with lots of chicken, flavorful broth and absolute heaven. Friend and I went here last week. Was worried about smelling smoke while eating but that wasn't an issue - maybe because we weren't seated at the edges. There are see-through partitions separating us from the other patrons. We got wine and I got the shrimp & asparagus, friend got lo mein. My meal was $25 but the portion was MASSIVE. So glad we didn't get an appetizer. I had to take some home. The experience was pleasant, and our server was great- I forget her name though. 03/06/2021 - We've been wanting to try this place everytime we come and now that Fresh Harvest is temporarily closed it gave us a reason to eat here until Fresh Harvest opens up again . Located inside the Seminole Coconut Creek casino, this Asian restaurant has everything from fried rice to noodle dishes to pho. We stop by for a quick bite and sat at the bar as the restaurant was filling up. We ordered the Singapore MaiFun special. It's a generous portion enough for two to share. The noodles piled on top cover all the meats and shrimp underneath. We asked for a little extra sauce which helped just cause there was so much of everything but that. The Bol Asian cuisine is located in the Coconut Creek Casino. It has an open concept with the Casino so it is very loud. There is bar seating, high tops and regular seats. Since it's open concept restaurant with the casino, it is extremely Smokey and very hard to breathe. My clothes. Hair and skin had an awful odor of smoke by the end of the meal. I did really like the sparkling rose wine, Stella beer on draft and Kirin beer on draft. There was a few appetizers and I did order egg rolls which were tasty but pricey. I also ordered a chicken Pad Thai entree which I did not like the taste. It was cooked fresh because you can see the chefs cooking behind the counter so the food is made to order. The pad Thai had more of just a garlic flavor and was missing the Thai peanut spice sauce. The entree was expensive but it was a large quantity. Maybe I would try chicken teriyaki entree if I go back one day. Too bad they didn't allow smoking in the food area of the casino and trap all of the cigarette, cigar and pipe smokers in an isolated room together. I have an allergic reaction to smoke and causes my nose and throat to constrict. Why would anyone want to smell up themselves like that? I just want to throw my clothes out and shower my hair and skin after being in that place. I only recommend this restaurant if you smoke and love the smell of stale cigarettes. read more

Having seen Stephen S's gorgeous photos of lobster dinners here for the last year or so, I had bookmarked this location and promised myself I had to come here. I knew in advance it would be expensive (I'd asked Stephen S) and that it was in the casino. One of my concerns before coming was the smoke smell -- as the casino is smoky. So today was the day I spent a lot of money -- but had a great lobster experience. Parking was very easy in the attached garage. Free, too. I parked on the 4th floor and easily took the attached short walk to the elevators down to the casino floor. Right as I exited the elevator, I saw the directional signs and the restaurant was right there. Yes, in the elevator, the future gamblers smelled of smoke... and so did the carpeting outside, but surprisingly inside the restaurant it didn't. This was strange because the restaurant has no closed third wall -- it's entrance is open to the casino floor. When I came in I was one of the first diners after they opened for lunch. Later a few more tables filled up; some others sat at a counter closer to the casino and I saw several take out orders. The lobsters are market price and are very large. The server's first price estimate was quite high. Since I was dining alone I mentioned that it was only me. Well, she double checked, and they had a "smaller" two pound lobster for $60. I started to look at the menu again for another option, then reminded myself the reason I was there. Just do it! And I did. The lobster was prepared Cantonese style with ginger and scallions and served over crispy noodles. Luckily I was provided with all sorts of silverware, plus chopsticks, claw crackers, and ample napkins and wetnaps. It's a messy dish to eat -- but oh my. It was a delicious treat. Definitely not a first date order. And not for someone who is new to eating lobster (I grew up in Connecticut -- not a problem from years of summer eating in New England coastal restaurants). I had planned on eating half and taking the rest home, but an hour later, there was nothing left but the empty plate and a pile of shells. And a happy camper stuffed with lobster. So next time, you've won a bundle at the casino, or inherited a windfall, mosey on over to this restaurant and give yourself an extravagant, but wondrous seafood delight. read more

Pork Fried Rice, Fried Dumpling & Fountain Drink all set me back $38.52 Fried For $20 is wasn't that spectacular, but it was greasy. I thought the greasiness would've been a plus, but nope I was wrong. $20 is too much for this entree. Dumpling Taste wise this I enjoyed, but for $12 for 4 dumplings is where I had a problem. The conclusion I'm drawing from this place is this restaurant is OVERPRICED. Taste it with a grain of salt before eating here; expect the worst and hope for the best. read more

I love this place. What a hidden gem. Although in my opinion it deserves more recognition, especially for how crowded and congested South Florida is....I'm very surprised it's quiet most of the time (which is a good thing for me). I come here with my buddy Chris, every time we play poker for the evening. Yes, it's located inside Coconut Creek Casino off of Sample Road. But this place is worth it, even if you're not going to gamble. It's located right downstairs on the casino level floor right as you exit the elevator from the parking garage. It pretty much can't be missed. And...it reminds me so much of an authentic, Noodle Bar you'd find, like at the Taj Mahal Casino in Atlantic City. I love the whole setup. So yeah, whenever I come here, I get a table right away. It's a simple, no frills kind of place that has an Asian Fusion kind of authenticity. The menu is limited, but in a good way. They only have so much. It's not your typical Chinese Restaurant that offers every generic dish you'd expect to find. They even offer Pho bowls of soup which I find to be a rarity around this area of Florida. Everything on the menu, is upscale, prepared with quality you can see with your own eyes. That's why I never mind paying the prices for any dish....which all tend to be on the higher end of the menu spectrum. (Quick note - if you get a soda or hot tea or something non alcoholic, be prepared to pay $4 -$5 dollars for it). All dishes I've tasted are fantastic. There's probably nothing I wouldn't recommend. Though, my favorite, and go to dish is General Tso's Chicken! Both my friend Chris and I each order our own dish and we happily devour the entire plate. Sometimes we eat before we play poker, and sometimes afterwards....as they are open late all the time till 1am....and even till 3am on Friday's and Saturday's! There's something about having comfort quality Chinese food at the end of the evening after playing hours of poker. It truly hits the spot! And, it's not too heavy on your stomach. This is the perfect late night place to grab a meal. Getting back to the fantastic General Tso's Chicken....it's made perfectly all the time! The dish is prepared with cubes of chicken surrounded by fresh broccoli. And the sauce they prepare it in is terrific. It comes also with a side of white rice. The pieces of chicken are always quality, tender pieces of white meat, and the breading/crusting surrounding it is usually goldenly caramelized. Every bite is crispy with a quality piece of meat. You can sense it comes prepared straight piping hot from the wok. We always finish our plates clean, that's how good we enjoy this place. Another great aspect.....when you're gambling and using your Player's Card, you accumulate points. And you can use these points to apply it as credit/money towards your bill here. So great, you play and accumulate, and then you get rewarded with discounts/free meals. For me, I think The Bol is the best Asian restaurant in South Florida. It's very difficult to find good NY style Chinese places around here, but this place comes about as close you can get. read more

Let's start by saying the location is in the Casino and holds a hefty price difference over other Asian Fusion type restaurants. I will also share the leftovers (shrimp Lo Mein) we're oily and not the best way to measure a dish. Wife said it was served hot and delicious initially with plenty of medium shrimp cooked well. Pricing was around 25 bucks and plenty for dinner. The second entree was a curry sauce angel hair pasta with shrimp, chicken, and they 86'd the pork. Wife doesn't like curry typically but offered this was delicious and very little heat overall. The Spring Roll was fresh and appeared homemade. They also enjoyed the dumplings. Very quick and good service. You will find the cost more hefty versus local, but they did offer reasons to splurge when at Casino or lite drinks with friends. read more

What they did for us was a godsend when times were tough and we needed saving... When Hurricane Irma came, we were without power, drained of energy (doing preparations for us and family; and then cleaning up our property), exhausted from the heat and beat mentally. Nothing was immediately open and it was still suggested to remain at home but we needed a break, we needed a drink, we needed a meal and and we needed air conditioning. Luckily our son told us that the Seminole Casino of Coconut Creek was open for business (thank goodness for generators). I'm no gambler (love my money too much to just give it away) but A/C and multiple restaurants to choose from inside the casino is more than enough reason to spend an evening here. After perusing the restaurants, THE BŌL was the most enticing. No tables were available without a long wait but a counter along the kitchen was ready to go so we took it (and were grateful, as it seemed the entire casino and all the restaurants were packed with people trying to cope with the aftereffects of Hurricane Irma. While I do not love Chinese food, I do love Vietnamese food... the restaurant claims the food is "Authentic Asian Cuisine inspired by Chinese and Vietnamese recipes". I will say this, the dishes smell good and the flavors were good too but I would never call any of the dishes here "Authentic Asian Cuisine". With that said, here is what we shared: * * * Started off with an order of FRESH VIETNAMESE SPRING ROLLS... they tasted good but nothing in the league of the rolls we've eaten at more traditional Vietnamese restaurants. * * * Had an entree of KUNG PAO CHICKEN... not a dish I would usually order but it was a lot better than I expected and happy it wasn't nearly as spicy as the waitress warned me it might be (I like spice but can't handle much). * * * Also shared a PAD THAI NOODLES WITH SHRIMP... this is one of my favorite dishes and order it often at some of our favorite asian restaurants.
