    Won Ton Soup
    Cheryl W.

I moved from Coral Springs to Coconut Creek and there are many Great chinese food places in that area, but I am now in search of one I can get my chinese food from closer home, got a flyer about those place in the door at home so I gave it a shot.... and unfortunately this place named Great Wall really wasn't even close to being great. The wonton soup was extremely bland no flavor at all just watery.. The wonton's them self were smaller than any Wonton Ton soup I have had. There was no flavor it was water.... And the fried noodles were stale... My next taste was their dinner size beef and broccoli and pork fried rice...The pork fried rice had no pork in it... there were really no veggies, maybe 4 peas and I think a piece of a carrot I saw... the rice was mushy and over cooked it was more of a rice pilaf than a pork fried rice. The fortune cookie was blah tasting.. the egg roll was ok was crispy not overcooked but something taste wise was again missing.. They also use a very different Duck Sauce than I am used to.. the two packets I used were thin and runny.. So no ...wont be back here once was enough. Sad, as I drove to their place because they had someone hand deliver their menu to a gated community in hopes of getting more people to eat their cooking, but why... it's really not that great in my opinion.

Friendly staff at the counter, it's a laid back vibe with plenty of options. I went with the basic order which was a chicken fried rice, an order of fried chicken wings and an order of spring rolls. The fried rice and spring rolls were good, but the wings wasn't all of that. I've had better but it's my first time at this location and I like to give everyone a fair chance to impress me. So I'll be back soon to try other options. More to come.......

Trying a new place featuring Asian cuisine for lunch today…read more Plenty of parking availble in the mixed use parking lot. Large interior and brightly lit. We received a friendly welcome and were immediately seated with a drink menu and a regular menu. I chose a small Sake from the drink specials menu. Nice and hot! After asking about the lunch specials we saw on the board before entering, our server then brought over the Lunch Specials Menu. (If you are going at LUNCH time, make sure to ASK for the Lunch Specials Menu. If you don't ask, you won't see it ...) Later on another guy came with his laptop to work and eat. We were first given their regular menus. The cuisine is Asian fusion with Japanese, Thai, and Chinese dishes. After asking about the lunch specials as posted on a blackboard outside the restaurant, we were given their lunch menu. Lunch prices are much more reasonable. My husband got their pork belly ramen in the tonkatsu broth (you could also have miso or shoyu broths). He really liked the broth flavor and said the pork slices and noodles were quite good. It was a decent sized portion for lunch. I got their shrimp hibachi bento box. In the sections of the box were 2 crab rangoon's, iceberg lettuce salad with ginger dressing, noodles, fried rice, and half a dozen shrimp with broccoli, onions, and mushrooms. The salad was refreshing; the fried crab rangoons tasted like only cream cheese inside. I liked the noodles and rice, but the best part was the hibachi shrimp. The meal came with 3 sauces -- the sweet one in the middle of the bento was for dipping the rangoons; the other 2 (ginger and mayo based) were for the the shrimp and veggies. They haven't been here that long. There's ample parking in the lot out front (it's part of a public center). I'd say come for lunch first if you can -- if you want to try them out. We were happy with what we ordered.

The ambiance is very cute-- its chill and cozy. Service is welcoming, but not very interactive (which honestly I appreciate that). FOOD: -hamachi sushi and wahoo sushi: delicious, do you see the size of the pieces?! Idk but i have never had bigger slices of sashimi than when i come here and they taste soo good-- i dont even need spicy mayo or eel sauce. -spicy tuna hand roll: again they STUFF that thing and their spicy tuna is chef's kiss. literally so yummy. -miso soup: so refreshing, light, and warm. ** only looks oily because i added a spicy chili oil that was brought out with it! - salmon cucumber roll: super light and refreshing. has a nice crunch and the salmon taste fresh. Love that it comes with avocado and cream cheese -crispy fish roll: OMG... my first time having this one and it was sooo good. its a warm roll with crispy fish inside and the fish is like super lightly breaded yet soo CRISPY! and the spicy tuna on top... again chef's kiss. Great portions for everything and very reasonably priced in my opinion compared to others. I suggest going in person though, much better than doordashing and prices much better. Overall: 10/10 every time ive been. Seriously i love this place (my boyfriend loves their pad thai and jumbo JB roll.. their ginger chicken is also very good but heavy on the ginger if you are iffy)

For my main I had the Kha Na Moo Krop (Crispy Pork Belly w/Thai sauce and Chinese Broccoli). Its served with white rice however I paid the up charge for the egg friend rice. Oh man. It was all delicious! My fiance had the Beef Builgogi Ramen. He said it was fantastic! Servings are plentiful here, so come ready to eat. The service was great. Only issue I had was that the electric sliding doors leading outside were not working, causing you to have to pull them yourself when you needed to enter the main restaurant. They were heavy and a pain to get open.

We had a wonderful lunch here…read more They weren't busy when we came in. Just a couple other tables were occupied. One room is the regular dining room, and the other is a huge sushi bar taking up the length of the restaurant. The restaurant is a Korean restaurant with Sushi and Dim Sum and a few other Chinese meals. The regular menu is large. Plus, if you are there during the week, ask for their lunch menu. My husband ordered their sushi bento box from the lunch menu. It came with a house salad with ginger dressing and miso soup to start. The salad was crisp, and he liked the ginger dressing. The miso soup was served hot and had pieces of tofu in it. The bento box had 5 pieces of sushi and a half hamachi roll (he could have also chosen a half tuna instead). He said the fish was very fresh and delicious. I started with an avocado salad -- from the main menu. It had a lot of slices of avocado on top of the lettuce with cucumbers and tomato. There was a vinegar-based dressing on top of the salad. It was good, but I preferred the ginger dressing which I got a bit of on the side. Then I ordered a few items from the Dim Sum section of the menu. I started with their turnip cake. It was perfectly cooked on the outside and soft and creamy inside. It's one of my favorites and usually if they do this one well, then all the others are good. I'd wanted to try their shrimp stuffed eggplant or the crispy shrimp with taro but they didn't have any of these in house. So I had their classic steamed crystal shrimp dumplings. I liked these as well. We had very good and friendly service throughout. We even got a taste of two of their kimchi's as a comp offering. There are a number of Korean dishes and combos with different soups and grilled meats and fishes that we'd like to try. I know we will be back here -- I'm hoping that it is sooner rather than later.

Hopefully they'll speculate soon, bc people aren't going to be happy when they do show us and several top offerings are unavailable. I will definitely be back and I look forward to trying Korean entrees and dim sum soon. Ambience is nice and comfortable.

Food looked good prepared but not as good as it looked. Many traditional Vietnamese and Chinese dishes served, but not close to authentically tasting. We had the General Tao's chicken which I personally think I've had better with an order of take out before. As for the pho noodle soup, broth was bland and seems like it was simple beef broth used from a can as it was missing lots of the depth of flavors and herbs like a real traditional pho broth should be. Both dishes tasted more commercialized than authentic. However service was fast and our waiter brought the food out timely despite being a busy night.

The atmosphere was relaxing, scenic, and definitely one of the highlights of the experience. Our server was friendly, attentive, and had a great personality. Table snacks was a small bowl of popcorn. To start, we ordered a Pearl Bourbon Smash and a Dragon Margarita. The Bourbon Smash was so good that we ordered a second one. The Margarita wasn't my favorite, but I finished it and followed it up with a Sensei Old Fashioned. For our entrees, we ordered the Korean BBQ Bulgogi and the Korean Steak Chimicurri (spelled that way on the menu, so I'm not sure if it was intentional). The Bulgogi portion was generous, and we really wanted to love it, but unfortunately the meat arrived cold. That was disappointing, especially after being told that everything is made from scratch. My husband's entree was served about 10 minutes before mine, which wasn't ideal. Generally, guests dining together should be served at the same time. I encouraged him to start eating so his meal wouldn't get cold, but unfortunately it already was. My steak arrived hot and was cooked slightly more than the medium temperature I requested, leaning closer to medium-well. Despite that, I still enjoyed it. It was served with jasmine rice and maduros, which complemented the dish nicely. Overall, we had a lovely dining experience. The waterfront setting, pleasant service, and enjoyable cocktails made for a great outing. We would definitely consider returning, especially to combine dinner with one of the boat tours.
