Saigon Cuisine is one of those old-school hole in the wall restaurants that surprises you. The place itself looks pretty simple, but the food was really good. I had the pho and it was fresh, flavorful, and exactly what I was hoping for. Looks like they even host parties here too, which makes sense because it feels like a family spot. Service was friendly and laid back. It did take a little while for the food to come out, but honestly that just made me think they were making everything from scratch. I'd rather wait for fresh food than get something rushed. All in all, I loved it. Great food, nice people, and a very authentic feel. This isn't a fancy restaurant, but if you want Vietnamese food that tastes homemade, this is the place. Easy 5 stars. read more

Nondescript in corner of a downmarket shopping plaza, this place has great authentic Vietnamese food nice staff and a very cool interior. The only drawback is the exterior environment. Who knew you could get great pho with chicken in Margate? A client I had to visit during coronavirus recommended this place. It's the closest to Saigon you can get in the Miami area. The chicken, spices and noodles were perfect. The lady who runs the place is very friendly and her husband does the cooking. There was a large group of Vietnamese-Americans waiting outside for their to go orders. Looks like a seal of approval to me. The interior is cool. There's a working delivery rickshaw. There's also a working mirrored disco ball on the ceiling and what looks like a dance floor. I pointed to the disco ball and played Stayin Alive from Saturday Night Fever on my cell's Pandora...the owner cracked up laughing. She said it's for when they host birthdays, weddings, etc The only real drawback is the shopping plaza. It was slightly sketchy, with a plasma donation clinic and some folks in shadowy corners. This is my new favorite pho restaurant. My old favorite restaurant closed without notice so I had to seek out another; this restaurant is definitely the winner. The broth is flavorful, and the bowl is loaded with veggies; I always choose tofu as a protein. The portion is so big I was able to take home half of it. I've been here a couple of times already and the flavor is consistent. My son ordered the spring roll with chicken and he loved it as well. The restaurant itself is spacious with plenty of room for a party of many, or just a table for two. The prices are inexpensive and that goes a long way in these times. June 2019 update: As we were in the area, we thought we'd stop by for our usual lunch. When we entered. We noticed that some of the partitions had been moved around changing the table arrangement. Later we noticed the slides of Vietnam that use to be shown on screen around the room were no longer there. As we sat down, we were given different menus than before. And the guy who's been there forever and waited on us wasn't doing so. The place still shows up as Saigon Cuisine on Yelp; and says do on the restaurant sign; However the menu says Pho Saigon Cuisine now. And features a large pho section inside. The wonton soup we used to share is no longer. Most of the soups are large pho with only one small beef pho. So instead of soup, we ordered their summer roll with shrimp only. It was very good -- made well; tightly packed. They even gave us individual dishes of peanut sauce for the one order (2 rolls), we were sharing. The peanut sauce was so good, we kept it to use on our sandwiches. We both ordered pork banh mi. I got mine without jalapeños. The roast pork was nicely grilled and chunky. The usual "veggies" were inside to which we added either the peanut sauce or some hoisin sauce. The bread was good but not as good as the former crispier outside French baguette. I'd still go back. Lunch sandwiches are still a great bargain at $5 each. And if you're into pho, you might want to try this "sort of" new location. --------- We hadn't been here for some time but as we were in the area, we stopped by. I think this might be the first Vietnamese restaurant in Broward that we went to. It's been here for quite awhile. For a reasonably priced lunch you can't beat it. We started with their appetizer won ton soup "large" size which we shared. One person could eat the whole thing, I guess. We asked for an extra small side bowl so we had 3 dumplings each plus a lot of big pork pieces and scallions all in a light tasty broth. And then we each had a bahn mi sandwich. The #7 -- roast pork. I got mine without jalapeños. The sandwich comes on fresh French bread -- crusty on the outside and soft inside. It's filled with thin pieces of roast pork plus carrots, cucumbers, white radish, and cilantro. From the table sauces, we like to add on some hoisin sauce. Try to eat one and not want another for later... Total cost including tax? About $16 for both of us. That's a bargain, They also have a full menu of soups and main dishes. All the traditional Vietnamese fare. We haven't been here for dinner in a while so this review is based only on today's lunch, but the Vietnamese people near us had a lovely bowl of pho and a noodle entree that looked wonderful. Even he said "wow" when they put it on the table. They are closed on Mondays. This isn't fast food as everything is cooked to order. So depending on how busy they are, service will match accordingly. We came here for lunch with my family. My husband had their marinated pork chop rice dish, my kids shared spring rolls and shaken beef fried rice, and I had their bun Bo Hue. Knowing how difficult it is to make an authentic bun Bo Hue in 15 minutes, I didn't expect much. The broth was okay but I was happy with the amount of ingredients in the soup especially the veggie plate. My husband loved his rice dish. The pork chop was very well marinated. As humorous as it may sound me & my wife came here and we both had very different opinions. While she didn't exactly enjoy her first time and I think that's more attributed towards her never having Vietnamese Cuisine before we came here(it was a long time ago), I thoroughly enjoyed my experience. The Pho here is so damn good plus I had a savory beef dish with fried rice which was amazing. The Spring Rolls were slightly greasy, but slightly isn't that bad. The taste, and flavor for me was tremendous. I have a knack for trying out different cuisines of various places of the orient and I've always enjoyed the Vietnamese way of flavoring a dish towards the savory taste bud. I am the pho queen! I've had the pleasure of eating Vietnamese and Thai all over the U.S. I've had it in restaurants and home made. One of my favorite foods, you can bet I know just what to order to know if I'm going to be disappointed or elated and return! Fresh Spring Rolls. They were on a diet. Small, skinny, rolled tight and what looked like sliced lunch meat with a one shrimp well...... it was pretty disappointing. Vermicelli. The grilled pork was good. The shrimp was ok. Mostly noodles. The salad part was ok. Do you want to know why I gave them only two stars. They have two different menus published online including this fantastic Yelp site. They both are priced the same just numbered differently. Placed the order ahead of time on the phone according to the provided menus on their web site and ohhhhhh!!!! How the prices were different when you pick up your food!?!!? That's a crime!!! Especially when something is priced out at $10.95 online and in person it's $16.95!!!.......$4.95 online and $5.95 in person. When we questioned..... the owner came out from the back defending his price gouging!!! You sir will lose a lot of customers, a lot of business because you are the Pho King Liar Liar pants on fire. It was in particular the positive review of Saigon Cuisine's bahn mi written by Julie W that prompted a visit. Meeting Clyde L and Diane N for a Saturday lunch, S.C. is in the interior corner of a strip mall off 441. One does feel a bit "transported" entering the restaurant. The decor is Asian-inspired but eclectic, and feels like it's from a bygone era. The 1970-ish mall muzak pushed that time travel experience along. On entering, to the right is a bar and bar seating area; center is an area apparently for special event dancing; to the left are standard restaurant tables. It's all done up a bit more than other Vietnamese restaurants with similar price points. Only a couple of tables were dining when I arrived; one party paying their check was raving to the server about their meal, one dish in particular. As they passed to leave I asked and got answered the pork spring rolls were their order, so made sure to include them with ours. The pork rolls, #17 on the menu for $6.25 -- very good, maybe not a 'wow' as with the previous party. The beef pho, my standard large order at $8.95 with brisket and eye round steak, was in league with other experiences in South Florida, though the "large" portion seemed possibly smaller. Also, the garnishing of basil/jalapeno/culantro/sprouts etc seemed a bit skimpy for two orders of pho. What *did* leave a surprisingly great impression was the recommended grilled pork bahn mi ($4.75). The roll was a perfect crunchy; the ratio of crisp veggies to tasty tender pork were well-balanced; and the add-on of Asian mayo a nice facilitator to meld all the flavors together. The service was sweet; it's family-owned and we might of had three generations assisting with our meal. I especially appreciated the direction away from an initial dish I was looking at by our server who didn't think I'd like it. There were some communication drops during the meal, nothing that some kindness and explanation didn't remedy. Somewhere in between cheap pho eats and fancier dining rests Saigon Cuisine. I recently met a friend for lunch to try this very nice Vietnamese restaurant. I love Banh Mi sandwiches and they are extremely hard to find. Saigon Cuisine has a wonderful selection of them. I ordered the grilled pork version on French bread and it made my taste buds dance in ecstasy!! With a little Vietnamese sweet sauce and an ice cold Miller Lite to go with it, made this the perfect start to a fabulous meal. I had the Pho with sliced beef and a chicken vermicelli dish to finish off my selections. I had a glorious time enjoying a new (to me) Vietnamese restaurant. It's been a while since my wife and I have been here for lunch. We have trying new Vietnamese restaurants in the area. Since we were close to here on errands we decided to revisit one of our favorites. A friendly greeting as we walked In and were seated in this family run Vietnamese restaurant. The place is large and would be a great venue for a large event. They even have a large bar, bandstand and dance floor. So we knew as we were driving over what we were ordering. Our standard Bahn Mi and a large bowl of Wonton soup. Plenty of soup broth, large tender won tons and slices of Pork and scallions. I like my Bahn Mi with jalapeño, it compliments the carrots, cilantro and wonderful roasted pork slices. There are several sauce dishes to add to your dishes. I like a bit of Hoisin sauce in my Bahn mi. The wonderful french bread with the crunchy crust and delicate soft inside make a great sandwich! 2 Bahn Mi's, one large bowl of delicious Wonton soup to share, total cost with 18% tip was $19.43. The appetizer rolls on the first page of the menu are outstanding and we love coming to this place, the ambience is definitely there so you can bring your snotty friends with you to this joint. Their Vietnamese sandwiches are very good but unfortunately they do not serve it for dinner. My friend Dan had the combination rice platter and that was a nice introduction to a variety of dishes, I stuck to my Pho with the mixed meats and even though the bowls have down sized the meal was very filling and then of course there is Dunkin Donuts in the same plaza to grab a nice Iced Coffee to grab to keep you awake on your drive home! Off the charts deliciousness....We've lived down in South Florida the past 3 and half years and tried every Vietnamese spot in the area....this is hands down the best yet. And honestly, this spot can definitely rival the Vietnamese spots back home in NJ and NY. I got the roast pork platter - just melt in your mouth. The rice and pickled veggies were the perfect accompaniment. My husband got the traditional fried rice with shrimp and sausage and the vermicelli noodle dish and both dishes had so much depth of flavor. Stopped in for a quick lunch. Fiancé ordered Bun Bo Hue and I opted for Bun Mam. Huge disappointment. His lacked all key ingredients that Bun Bo Hue is supposed to have. No quyet, cha hue, bo bap, rau thom, bap chuoi. The only garnish they had was bean sprout and cilantro. Now my Bun Mam was a disaster, the broth was clear when it's supposed to be brown. No pork belly and no eggplant. The broth lacked the "mam" flavor. The noodles were undercooked. When I asked the owner, he said if I went to California he's certain it'll be more authentic. When the waitress came to clear the table, she asked the owner if we wanted to go boxes since we ate barely 1/2 he replied "no we're in a rush" not that because the food tasted awful! Pho? Don't bother. Everything else is pretty good though. I dine here pretty often just because this is the closest good Vietnamese restaurant in my area. I put off reviewing the place many times because, sadly, the Pho is just disappointing. Every time I order it, I get the same result: warm broth and a hard ball of cold noodles. I think they're microwaving the broth and taking noodles out of the cold fridge. Pho is a standard vietnamese staple that usually cooks all day long so I have no idea why the broth would be warm, not piping hot like every other place I've been to. Aside from the Pho issues, the other dishes are great. Broken rice platters, vermicelli bowls and of course banh mi (sandwich) are all very tasty. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are filling. The restaurant is large and it looks like a great spot for a party. Theres a stage with a full drum set, full lights and a dance floor. I wish that I could give 5 stars, especially since the service is always awesome and the other food is great but a vietnamese place serving warm Pho is like a bar serving warm beer... read more

Located in an anonymous strip mall in Margate, this place (formerly Saigon Deli) has expanded its storefront space, adding multiple tabletops, attractive decor, and bright flat screen monitors that showcase Vietnamese satellite television. Off to the side is a bandstand where on some weekends, folks can boogie down when a nightclub act gets booked. Our server was pleasant and recommended my mother a dish to try. I went with a house salad with roti (seasoned meat) and she went for the flat rice noodles rolled with grilled pork. The portions were generous as my house salad was huge enough to split with my mom as was my mother's entree. The food was well seasoned and cooked just right, with the meat being tender. My mom marveled that you could tell the cooks paid attention and care to their meals. Their menu was pretty extensive for a Vietnamese restaurant in this area and we both really liked their presentation of food and decor (it's not a hole-in-a-wall at all). This is the first Vietnamese restaurant I've been to where the food was extremely subpar. Everything else about the restaurant was nice, but not enough to make up for how lackluster the food was. Decor/ambiance: its a cute low lit spacious area with a small stage area and a piano in the corner. All the tables were clean along with the utensils and cute little sauce containers. Service: it was pretty good where we were greeted first coming in and all the food came out pretty fast after an easy and straightforward time ordering the food. Water was refilled when we asked too! Price: pretty decent. The dishes I ordered were grilled pork summer rolls wrapped with wide flat rice noodles for $6 and banh tam bi for $9 Food: now time for the most important part of the review... my dish is a simple dish and is pretty easy to make, however the portions were kind of small. About 3/4 of my plate were bean sprouts and not much noodles or coconut sauce or pork skin given too :( I thought the summer rolls were pretty interesting but after trying some of the other foods in my party (com thit nuong, pho dac biet, mi kho) the chicken was cooked so dry, the pho broth extremely sweet... The pho is phonomenal! :) Started with a grilled pork banh mi which was only $4 and great! Not over stuffed or messy - which works for me. The flavor & meat were both good. Then had the eye round beef pho (size large). They brought us some communal plates of Thai basil, jalapeño, lime, culantro, & bean sprouts - heaping portions. The bowl of soup came and the size was just right, I almost finished the entire thing! The meat was sliced super thin & perfect. I added some chili oil to give it a kick. This can be fixed. I hate to compare old ownership with new ownership. Unfortunately, my new experience was not good. I'm only going to comment on the Vietnamese egg rolls. They used to serve Vietnamese egg rolls, now I'm not so sure. Actually, I'm sure. These were not Vietnamese egg rolls. They looked more like spring rolls trying to be Vietnamese. The old owners used to serve them with lettuce and fresh mint leaves. They were delicious. These, not even close. So, let's get this fixed! I don't enjoy leaving negative reviews, actually, this is my first. You all can do better. Bellow are 3 pictures. The first 2 are from the old ownership, the last one from the new ownership. Not even close. While I'm at it, the fried rice was bland. I was actually so disappointed , that I actually went to get take out at another restaurant. You can do better. Come on and fix this. This is probably the best pho in south FL. I frequently drive from Aventura to go here to get my pho fix. The restaurant is located on 441 just north of coconut creek parkway and is located near a QT oriental market and a tattoo parlor. Saturday nights is where they hire live jazz band to sing (pretty unique for a pho place). The restaurant also has a full bar (also unique for a pho place). When you walk in, the majority of the patrons are usually asian..which is a good sign, lets you know the pros dine here. What i usually order is their honeydew slushie (without boba, i dont trust FL boba) it reminds me of houston, yum. Also, try the PHO! The broth is clean and light with a smooth flavor that leaves you wanting more. I always order the biggest size XL and share that with my fiancee along with an appetizer or 2. You can customize your pho and tell them exactly what you want inside, i usually put everything except for meatballs inside, my fiancee loves the meatballs so im screwed. Actually i just give her all the stuff i dont want..mwhaha egggcellent. ok sorry back on topic, The soup really doesnt need much flavoring, but i always put a little hoisin, shiracha, basil, and lime no matter how good the soup is. As for the appetizers get the thit nuong (bbq pork) wrapped in rice noodle, super yum. I was in the mood for a little road trip out of downtown Miami and wanted to try somewhere new. Saigon Cuisine is in the corner of an unprepossessing strip mall in Margate but it was easy to find from the Turnpike. It's dark and cozy and it was mostly empty, but I attribute that to the time of day, after the lunch rush I ordered the pho bo, which is traditional beef rice vermicelli soup, which came with a plate of aromatics. This place goes out of the way to make your meal your way. Extra noodles? No problem. Different kinds of meat? Absolutely, mix and match to your heart's content. The basics of the pho here are very solid. The broth is lovely, and shows definite signs of the complexity of time and spices that you should be looking for. The noodles are excellent. I am a spicy beef pho person. So I am only rating this place based on the Hue soup. The soup bowl does not come up a lot of broth. So you can't really add a lot of the greens in your soup. The soup broth taste was okay not as good as Saigon city. I don't think I will go out of my way to go back to this restaurant. read more

This is my 2nd time at Saigon Cuisine. Service is always very slow, but the waitress is very nice and friendly. You just have to have a lot of patience. I feel that this place is clean and the food tastes good. I had the grilled pork and fried eggs with rice. Yummerzzzz! Your mouth doesn't taste like it's full of MSG afterwards which is important to me. Their peanut sauce can be a little more thick. Wow, the spring rolls are done the way they are supposed to: basil, mint, pork, shrimp, scallion. We really came for the sandwiches, which are really good, ok size, dirt cheap and yummy. We couldn't leave without having the Che Thai drink: delicious sweet heaven! Service and ambiance are great. Definitely will come here more often, I am hooked. read more
