The best way I can describe this restaurant is that it gives you a feeling of community. It was clear to me I was dining with a bunch of regulars since one of the people at the table next to me walked up and grabbed a can of pop from the refrigerator behind the counter, cracked it open and told Diane to add it to her ticket. Another guy at a different table got up and served himself coffee. I noticed someone else walking out from behind the bar when we walked in. I'm not sure what she was doing, but apparently it's understood when you're a regular that you're also family. I had a soup and my friend who was with me had a BLT. We were both extremely happy with our food and service. We grabbed a table near the door when we first walked in because I like to sit on the perimeter my first time visiting a place. I like to take in everything, and this place does not disappoint. Take a look at my photos to see how little I had to pay for good food and quality service. Truth be told, I was out looking at houses before taking a break at Cousin's. If I didn't want to move to Lockport before, I sure as heck want to now! Heck, I may even stop in and ask Diane for a job. The dish washer did not show up for work the day we were there, so she was pulling double duty. I'm not sure if she has someone else cooking or not, so maybe triple duty! Once word gets out about how great and affordable this place is, she'll be needing the help. Or like me, all the new people will feel instantly like family and just pitch in where needed.

If Nate serves me food at this Cafe, then I've been Cafe-Nated…read more This is a little restaurant inside Tops that serves buffet food and dishes of the day and they're not even too bad. They're not technically a separate business to Tops, but they're a food place within Tops, and since Wegmans is creating their own listings for their Market Cafe, Tops deserves one too. Wegmans is way more extensive and all over the map but the quality is not great at all regardless of locals with bad taste raving about it. As for the Tops version? They're not great either - very band American-style cooking - but at least they're making the effort and at least it's freshly made. Don't come here for healthy stuff or be fooled by the calorie information. It's all pseudoscience, eating this crap is simply bad for you. The only things you should be eating are nuts, seeds, fruits, veggies, and drinking lots of spring water. Anything else you're putting in yourself is bad, so don't kid yourself or bother counting calories. None of these things are very good for you and nothing will rock your world - unless you have bad taste in food - but it's not disgusting like Denny's or Ihop and I do appreciate that.

I've found it to always be a welcoming and chill/quiet environment. I do grab & go as I'm always running errands when I visit; but, there is a loungey type area that looks comfortable if you wanted to hang out. One of my favorite quick snacks to grab here are the protein balls. They've always tasted good, but I think there could be more consistency. I've found them to not be uniform size or consistency despite having gotten the same flavor on different occasions. Sometimes they are a bit mooshed and stuck together. This could easily be resolved by using a scale to measure ingredients and also to scoop the dough and weigh before forming the balls. Just something to consider. Obviously it hasn't stopped me from buying them. I also recently had a peppermint Oreo protein shake and it felt like I was drinking a milkshake.
