I gave them three options (seafood, Italian, or Mexican) and they chose La Siesta. They said when they pulled up they started questioning their decision but hands down was the best Mexican food they have had. My son doesn't even like salsa and loved it all. Please forgive me for their picture but this is proof of a good meal. They had chicken colorado and chimichangas. My son said our NC Mexican restaurants won't hit the same way now.

I happened to be in Hernando and needed a bite to eat. This place was quick and satisfying. The staff here were incredibly friendly and kind! They recommended the sriracha slaw burger, and then I built my own burger with the toppings I wanted. The burgers were good, and I liked their little outdoor patio! My only concern with this place is that it was not the cleanest, especially the restroom. The lack of cleanliness made it difficult for me to be comfortable. The Burger Shop is not a good place to work. TJ the owner pays cash and files 1099 after having you fill out a W-4 . Customers should also be aware, that any tips added by bank/cc are never paid to the server or cook. TJ pockets them. When I questioned him about our tips he stated "I use that to pay my back taxes" I had retired from my job and applied because he posted the need for help several times.
