Food is always fresh, hot, and ohhhh soooo good! I love boomers! I gave it 4 stars due to being quoted one total but then they charge an extra I believe $1.25 for you to use your card. I questioned why they never did that before and I was told by owner that he didn't know why but he can't control what the machine charges so the fee could be less or more for certain people. I explained that they at least need to inform people or make a sign. What if that extra fee put me into negative? Regardless if it's a penny or $2.00 inform your guest of the extra fees so that they're not surprised at the end or allow them to decide if that's something they want to pay for. He told me he bought the company from original owners and was trying to keep prices low. I'll visit again to support but if I have more surprises with the total I may have to stop going. Edit: now changing stars to 2 due to simple fact employee sending messages debating " my opinion " I simply asked that the customers are notified of the fee or make sign more visible ! He went on to say original owners charged to use card as well. I have never been charged to use my card there until the store was bought! I will not be supporting this rude establishment any longer and will be sure to spread the word! With that attitude they'll be closed soon! It's so nice not to be eating in another strip mall! This is an old building that reminds me of an old Dairy Queen. The food reminds me of Dairy Queen as well. Shakes and floats, burgers and fries. The place has a little old fashioned, small town charm to it, without being fancy. They have a drive thru as well. There are four different sizes of burgers. Small, and large, and single/double of either. I got the large double. It still wasn't a big burger. In fact it wasn't really even a good burger, but for the price, I guess it was ok. I also had tots and a root beer shake. Nothing was great, but I think I'll come back again to check it out. read more

So not only was the food disgusting; they lack basic communication skills they've probably boasted about on their resume. Ambiance? There's a reason the building looks like it does. It seems as if they're following through on a business plan created from a 12 year old. If you're really into supporting locals and finding that gem; that "hole in the wall" spot. Well, look right past this one. My energy out on this review exceeds the amount this restaurant used trying to prepare these unflavored, desert choking meals. If grease was a topping I'd say they got my order right. Didn't want onion and tomato and had to take it off, and the burger was drenched is grease I ran out of napkins. I wouldn't come here to eat anything grilled/fried. The tots are always burnt/drenched in grease it looks like they dropped them straight from the fryer and the grease is everywhere. read more

Since I was hungry, I ordered the Double Large burger and fries. Now the burger was quite good and filling, but the fries, at about $2.65 for plain, store bought fries was a bit steep for me. However, I did read good stuff about their handmade Shakes and saw a few people get some while I was there. This stunning example of a classic hamburger joint has been in my life since high school. Just a half mile from good ol' Horn Lake High in Horn Lake Mississippi on Nail Rd close to highway 51. When I was young I was broke...my mom was broke, my whole family was broke no money for electricity, much less a dinner out. This being the case Boomer's was the exception to this dire rule. Every so often (about once a month) my sweet mother would get fed the hell up of cooking for four children and bring home a sack of Boomer's burgers and fries. This was always a Friday and always a preamble to the week's end usually the third week of the month as that is when the child support payment would be cashed and at the ready. Fast forward to tenth grade, first of many 200.00 cars and I had freedom. Got a job slinging pizzas on the week end and spent nearly every cent on gas for my 1964 Belvedere, and cheese burgers from Boomer's. These burgers hail straight from the 1950s juicy, loaded with melted American cheese, pickle, onion, lettuce, on the most flimsy of buns. You will get something on your shirt/blouse/pants/young child standing under you, and it will be absolutely worth it. I do have a con, the fries could be a lot more than just crinkle fries. If I'm not mistaking they were actually shoe string fries when I was growing up. This is my favorite burger on the planet. Simple, tasty, and it saved my world numerous times. read more

Great Burgers! I always get the Large Double Cheese with everything and I'm never disappointed. For the same price as a McDonald's Double Quarter Pounder meal you get a REAL BURGER with more tots and drink than you can consume! I've read some complaints on the fries and I can't comment because I always order the tots. The tots are always crispy on the outside and hot on the inside! There's never an off/bad taste on the tots. I swear they must change the grease every day! What I like best is their service! I call in my order and by the time I drive the 3 miles I am from them the order is ready!! They never screw up an order. read more
