With gas prices being high, it didn't make sense for me to drive another 30 minutes round trip for about $8 worth of food. I explained that I wasn't trying to get free food--if someone were trying to scam a restaurant, it certainly wouldn't be over such a small amount. I was simply asking for a refund for the items I didn't receive. Mistakes happen, but the situation was handled in an unprofessional way. They did offer to replace the salad, but after the attitude I received on the phone, I didn't feel comfortable trusting them to remake my food. What made the situation worse was being told what I should do differently next time when the mistake was on their end. Mistakes happen, but how you handle those mistakes matters. Telling a customer how they should order next time instead of simply taking responsibility is not good customer service.
