What an adorable little cafe here in Knightstown. For coffee, lunch or just a light snack this is the place to come. Decorated with love you'll find it warm and cozy. Service is very friendly and food comes quick. Yummy pastries for dessert. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely come back.

Pay no attention to the hours on their door because they close during posted operating hours.

My dad and I drove over special to try this restaurant and for the SECOND time it was closed. We came over early Jan 2020 and there was a sign on the door closed until Jan 18 (I think that was the date or it was 17) We presumed they were closed for a late holiday rest- okay. So on Wed Jan 29 I looked on YELP and the green open sign was on until 7PM. After checking we decided to drive to Knightstown to try an early dinner. It was about 4:20PM when we arrived. Once again it was closed, doors locked and no lights inside. Yet, this time there was no note on the door to explain the closure during advertised operating hours. I even took a picture of the inaccurate hours painted on the door. If they are still in business it is extremely UNprofessional to close during advertised hours. Never again will I attempt a dinner here! Done!

This place has all of the nostalgia, reminding me of the little donut shops I grew up with. The staff is always friendly, attentive and fast to get fresh donuts in your hand (well, in the bag or box, to be more specific). Several years ago, I lived closer and I remember when the Sweet Shop almost closed when the owner passed away. The family stepped in and took on the responsibility to keep this Greenfield staple in business. I love supporting the Sweet Shop because they have delicious donuts AND because they have a beautiful story of love and resilience. This is what small and family-owned business is all about! Man, now I want a donut!

I'm here on a Saturday a little after 8:30 and they are down to slim pickings. It's fine with me because they still had jelly donuts and big caramel frosed. It was great to see folks who pre-ordered boxes & often multiple big boxes) and take them to go. The ladies working were very efficient. I give them 4 because they don't stay open long enough (a product of not making enough donuts ) and the somewhat curt service with less change than expected tho' it was a busy day (not related to pennies).

I don't want to be hyperbolic, but Concannon's makes the best donuts that I've eaten, ever, in my…read moreentire life. Ever. One hundred percent. Nay, one thousand percent. You guys. I don't play with donuts. I'm a donut-eating fool. Donuts are my thing. I have glaze running through my bloodstream. I've never eaten better donuts than the ones I got from Concannon's in Muncie. In fact, I'm planning another trip to Muncie JUST to visit Concannon's and get some donuts. What's a two-hour round-trip drive when you can be rewarded with amazing donuts during your journey? I visited Concannon's by myself, and although I wanted one of each of the donuts they had in the bakery case, I limited myself to three donuts: a glazed pretzel-shaped yeasted donut, a blueberry cake donut and an old fashioned donut. My go-to at any donut shop is usually a glazed twist, but they don't have glazed twists here! Instead, they have a glazed pretzel-shaped donut, which turned out to have all of the elements of a glazed twist, but it was just bigger and more twisty. It was amazing, pillowy, slightly sweet and even more delicious when you pull it apart with your fingers and eat it bit by bit. The blueberry cake and old-fashioned donuts were my favorites, though. These melted in my mouth, especially the old-fashioned. It was so tender and fresh. The old-fashioned is one of those kinds of donuts that I wish I enjoyed with some coffee, but instead, I ate it solo while dancing around delightedly in my hotel room. Concannon's has lots of other sweets, desserts and baked goods, like cakes (including mini cakes and individual cake slices), cookies, whoopie pies, chocolates, popcorn, candies and all sorts of other goodies. There is also a cafe with coffee and other beverages available. This is a must-visit if, like me, you love donuts, but also a must-visit in general because it's such a Muncie institution.

All the cupcakes were moist, and a great flavor; too often when you visit bakeries they have frozen the cupcakes and I can always taste that. These were fresh! I love that they chose a downtown location in a historic building and left the safe in the wall. They store the cake boxes in the old safe and it is visible behind the counter which lends character to the atmosphere. This is a candy lovers dream store. Lots of candy gifts ideas.

We got a German chocolate cupcake, which is chocolate cupcake with caramel and coconut-pecan frosting. It was big enough for two people, for sure. The Cookie Monster cupcakes were cute, and there were also cupcakes that looked like sundaes, plus a lot of other flavors, like strawberry cream, pina colada, cherry, M&M and others. Along with cupcakes, you'll also find ice cream, pie and cake slices, cookies, bulk candy, and a whole two walls full of packaged candy, including old fashioned candy like Pez, Chuckles, wax lips and other novelty sweets. This is a sweet and charming little store for all things sweet, located in a vintage-looking building. Parking is on the street or in the small free parking lot a short ways away.
