I usually pick up food to go but I have occasionally eaten there as well. The bakery is clean and simple, with a fair amount of seating. The service is always friendly and fast whether using the drive through or going inside. My go to here is a couple pounds of barbacoa, refried beans, rice, and freshly made tortillas de maize (corn tortillas). I never leave without getting a couple of bags of that incredible pan dulce ( sweet bread). There is a variety of options to choose from and you really cannot go wrong when it comes to pan dulce here. People in Houston can quibble on the differences between Mexican and Tex Mex all they want but when I'm in West Texas and I want some food like my abuela and mom make, Frisco's hits the spot. The drive through is a little hard to get through because it's so small, but it's worth it! We have gone inside before also and it's a very clean place, and has many different areas to sit. We were also surprised to see charges for our tap water and also for using a credit card. Usually, we don't go back to restaurants that charge for credit card use or splitting a sandwich. I will go back with our family when we visit them. The food was good and so were the service and atmosphere. Next time, we will have cash and just cut the sandwich in half ourselves. We had fun on the outing. We enjoyed our meal and our family, but we were annoyed at the petty gouging.

In fairness, this is clearly a place that specializes in more traditional Mexican dishes, and I probably didn't order the thing they're best known for. If you're looking for authentic Mexican food and pastries, this seems like a great local spot and it's definitely worth checking out. Donuts, kolache (only one kind a giant pig in a blanket), and croissant sandwich with eggs, cheese and options for meat - as long as it's in the case. Not a flaky croissant because it's in plastic wrap. Good thing is that she heated up the sandwich and kolache.
